A few of our belongings were damaged and lost.
Both houses were damaged the house we moved from and house we moved too.
Guys are way to rough when moving things in and out of house.
Everyone at Conroys were really friendly and helpful. Nathan who came to survey and quote was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Tim who came to pack was lovely, he was so friendly and did a fantastic job of packing. All our belongings arrived in the UK in perfect condition.
Very efficient service with furniture delivered in good order with only two broken glasses which could be us as we packed our own furniture and a small scrape mark on a leather chair. The furniture was unloaded into the rooms it was required and this was really appreciated as I am past doing heavy lifting. The one bit of advice I would put forward is change the ID stickers you use as they are extremely hard to remove completely and leave a residue behind.
Conway's quotation process and staff engagement is first class.
However Conway management let the image diminish with the state of delivery truck...with back tray having a state that is poor and unsafe..
We have been impressed by the professionalism of Conroy's, this is the second time we have used them to move articles from NZ to Australia. We would certainly recommend them. Lets start at the beginning. day one, only 1 packer turned up. Day two, 2 packers turned up but left at 4pm with 3 rooms and the garden shed still to pack. Day three, the loaders arrived but said they do not pack.. eventually 1 packer arrived and must have been in a very bad mood because most stuff packed that day didnt get labeled. ended up in the garage. eventually everything got loaded. advised the storage when delivery was required a good week before. it took the accounts department 5 days to email the final storage invoice, which we paid the same day. 24 hours later we receive a rude email threatening to cancel delivery if we dont pay before delivery. Friday morning i rung accounts department and they confirmed payment and that delivery would be early afternoon. 4.27pm received mail saying they had found payment. trucks and 7 bods turned up at 5.40pm. because none of them wanted to be there at that hour they rushed around leaving marks on new walls and only one person assemble the main bed, everything else was left wrapped. So no, we would not recommend Conroy removals to anybody else and would definately not use your services again.
This is the third time we have used Conroy and it is by far the worst experience. The first time we used you was excellent.
During the removal We were uneasy about the lack of care taken with our belongings. Some of our furniture has arrived damaged.
For the delivery we made a request that certain items (large items stored separately) be delivered first so they could be stored first. This was made on booking and when told of the delivery time. By the way this phone call was extremely poor quality, muffled and low volume (as it was for removal).
These items turned up nearly two hours after the main container. The truck had done another delivery first.
The delivery crew’s driver was, by that time, grumpy to say the least and the weather had got worse. The crew were reluctant to “double handle” the first items out of the container to facilitate unpacking before the other truck arrived.
In the light of our request and the poor weather this could definitely have been handled better.
This removal and storage was not inexpensive and we do not feel we got as good a service as we had the first time we used Conroys and definitely not value for money. One star may be a little harsh but there you go.
Unfortunately a lot of damages.
there did not appear to be much common sense when wrapping fragiles. Two bowls which were clearly fragile (one from Morocco’s and one from Turkey) were barely wrapped and put in on side and to side of box. There heavy items on top and fractured in many pieces.
out of our five sets of drawers, four are damaged. Again did not take the drawers out and because heavy they were banged on the ground.. all corners broken.
an expensive kenwood kitchen aid was laid on its side and all oil has leaked out of the machine. Now needs a service
Upon unpacking/delivery day team said they would be there between 8-9am. Turned up at 10.40am therefore did not have time to put furniture together and we were left to do our selves. Said they’d come back at 8am following morning. Expecting to take the morning off work, one person turned up after midday to finish putting furniture together.
When “unpacking” wrapping took all wrapping of photo frames and artworks this leaving them most likely to get damaged as all other boxes were left unwrapped. Logic thought you’d protect the artwork until the end.

I have used Conroy Removals twice now without any issues. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Ours was a difficult and easy move ,taking a 94 year old gent just next door from his home to a rest home. The boys were helpful and considerate of the circumstances,friendly and obliging making it an easy transition fir the old fella.No mucking around and a reasonable rate charged. Other moving companies were not interested as our move was only short. Well done Conroy.
