We packed all our cartons ourselves and were pleased that all the contents arrived undamaged. Our furniture was export wrapped and unfortunately two pieces arrived damaged. The fragile glass cabinet we had crated, arrived in good order.
Unfortunately our container got 'stuck' at the Napier depot over the lockdown period. Customs and MAF clearance was arranged on our behalf and went well. As soon as lockdown restrictions were lifted, the Napier team did a great job delivering our stuff and returning later a couple of times to pick up empty cartons and packing materials, which was much appreciated. Really helpful and friendly guys on the vans. Particular thanks to Sophie R. at the office who was really helpful, friendly and kept us informed during the whole process. Many thanks.
Would have liked a little more communication with yourselves.
Phil and his team in Tauranga did a superb job for us, they were fast, efficient and a pleasure to have around as we went through the stress that moving always entails. We could not fault them. Moving from the north to the south island is an expensive undertaking but we felt we had very good value with this team. The team in Christchurch were a little slower, maybe not as fit, and didn't have the people skills that the Tauranga team and Phil have.
All good from the Wellington end but not sure that the Brisbane people were overly empathetic about timing issues due to COVID-19 restrictions applicable to travel and hence our ability to receive our goods.
Everything went well - we were very happy. We have a pile of flattened cartons here if your company would like them back. There is usually someone here till about 5 pm if they would like to pick them up. Thanks for your service.
The team arrived on time and got striaght in to work.
They were a good group of guys and they worked fast and efficiently.
Nothing was too much and they even helped me move some furniture within the house
Will be back to Conroys again , next time we move.Ill be keen to use the complete service
Nice guys BUT a box was dropped and smashed on the corner and all along one end the movers did not advise that this was damaged . Two glass pictures that were packed according to their instructions with bubble wrap then the white picture wrap and bubble wrap agsin inside a solid cardboard sleeve well taped marked with large red print FRAGILE. GLASS were broken. The comozmy eould not accept that these had been packed zccording to their instructions (others packed exactly the same way arrived undamaged) the iinsurance guy for them would not accept that any liability and I tried to point out that their integrity was in question due to the box being dropped and I had not been advised so I had every reason to expect them to accept the claim. This was refused to be acknowledge and that if the crew did not advise of the broken box how can they deny that the pictures may have been damaged by them also. This was logged to my insurers who I had transit insurance with but the repairs were under the excess it is not viable.
All I can say is think twice before you use Conroysv.
Conroy communication and handling was excellent. We ended up using the storage option for about 8 months which was a lot simpler than I expected. Despite lockdown challenges, everything went smoothly in delivery. Nothing broken. Very happy.
Can't say I was impressed with the communication around pick up or delivery. I, as the paying customer, should have been informed that the pick up had been rescheduled to the next day, this was after I had already talked to the team that morning to arrange a pick up time.
Several days later I contacted the office to find out where my delivery was, and they referred m,e back to the T&C's that said they'd be in contact to let me know. My items ended up being delivered without any call to arrange a time/day of delivery. I was out at the time and luckily someone was home to accept this.
Also, on my insurance form I had to select a pick up and delivery date. How could I do this if it was up to you guys as to what days things would happen? Since I had selected the date requested as my pick up/delivery date, what would have happened if there was something damaged outside of that date? Raises some worrying questions.
