The only item to be packed by Conroy did not get packed, because there was no packaging material brought along. This in turn was then the reason, why the container wouldn't be locked for storage (until the item was properly packed). After 4 months we have happily received our property back from storage - with the only unpacked item still unpacked. In addition we learnt that somebody else's commercial goods were put into our container when shipped to Nelson. In hindsight I'm wondering about the safety and security of my goods while in Conroy's care - not a good feel, even though it seems so far that all got back to us in good condition.

The fact that the boxes were owner packed and owner insured, I felt that the movers were not as careful with the packages as they might have been if they were insured through the company. I haven't as yet opened the box of breakables that was dropped to see if anything was broken. Also heavy boxes were stacked on top of a box marked very fragile when placing them in the house. All and all the company was prompt to help us when our circumstances had changed and the guys were all cheery and willing to help and we thank them for their hard work.

The two guys in Auckland were great and professional, as was the gent in Christchurch. Everything went smoothly and all of our items arrived with no fuss. Our stuff was moved quickly and with no hassle.

The only complaint I have is that something heavy was obviously placed on top of our two computers (marked fragile). Both had a small bow in the case and one's chassis had bent enough to allow two hard drives to pop out on one side. BUT, nothing was damaged (except the case, which is superficial and easily bent back). Inside, everything worked fine after being put back together (though I'm double-glad I removed the gpus before boxing them up for shipping). I wouldn't hesitate to use Conroy again, but would make sure I more clearly labeled the contents of "Fragile" boxes to give the people a better idea of what they can and can't do.

We have travelled and moved house a lot and experienced good and bad movers. The bad experiences and loss of personal possessions has been hard to get over so it is a pleasure and joy to have good movers. Conroys are reliable and professional. Goods arrived on time and safely without any damage. Would happily recommend to anyone.
