"Generally excellent dealings"
Generally excellent dealings and happy with all the staff we dealt with and talked to. However, we were disappointed that we were not told about garment boxes, both for hangers and flat boxes. As a result we packed many clothes in suitcases - hate to think what they will look like when we unpack in maybe six months. We were also left to complete the packing, the two (excellent) packers were sent off on another job on the last dayand did not complete the task.as both we and they expected.

"I loved being able to complete quote and payment online"
I was very stressed about moving day, with so much happening and 2 children to deal with aswell. But Conroy,s really were great. Although I had no idea of arrival time until moving day, I put this down to Monday being labour Day, I did get a call on Tuedays morning to say they will arrive after lunch avout 1.30pm. The truck arrived on time, the two guys were very polite and professional. Delivery the next day went smoothly, as arranged. this is the third time we have used Conroys to shift over a 20 year time frame. I loved being able to complete quote and payment online. Thanks Conroys.
"They worked well as a team and quiety went about their business"
I found Justin and his team excellent in their service when packing up my house and loading onto the truck in Hastings. They worked well as a team and quiety went about their business. Also great communication with the truck driver at the other end in Whangarei when unloading as I wasn't able to be at the destination and also the despatch team in Auckland. Thanks.
"Mostly went well"
Mostly went well. Just had to ring up to make sure the packers were coming back to unpack but once the guys were there they did well.

Once arrived in Napier told would be droped off on thursday but never got a call and so called myself and they said oh sorry didnt relise it was ment to be droped off today. once funiture was droped off (realy nice guys). they had forgot our bike and couch. bike was droped off the next day (dismantled by your team and not put back together). and we still havent recevied our couch which is still in Christchurch.

"very depressed and frustated"
My move had some complications in that I was away for the pack-up and storage was to be for approx 3 months. I was told all would be put into a container, stored and then delivered to my new home in the said container. However, the container supplied was too small (even though the volume had been assessd) and some furniture and boxes etc were sent to storage separately. Apparenly these were not stored with the container and were not delivered with the bulk. This might be acceptable were it not for the attitude of the Christchurch staff who fobbed me off, told me I should have had insurance for such things, passed me to various people, did not return calls and had a 'could not care less' attitude. Each member blamed their colleagues for the fault and, until I eventually got the South Island Manager, (Rodney), nobody would take responsibility. Some of the items were located (after 2 weeks) and delivered but still, many were not found. The end result was that I had many items not delivered and have been told that they are lost. The items were a King duvet inner and cover, dry foodstuffs, spirits, wine, beer and a number of boxes I had packed myself (PBO). Estimated value would be between $500 and $800. I was given a measly $100 compensation because I did not have insurance. (I thought the insurance cover was for breakages or loss through no fault of anyone and the excess seemed exhorbitant). I accepted this $100 to simply end the matter as I was getting very depressed and frustated.
"Lovely guys - very helpful"
Lovely guys - very helpful. The only negative was losing three hydrangea bushes when the truck backed in.
"could not ask for any better"
Very good move, excellent service, the movers were careful, friendly and hard working, could not ask for any better.

We had Ants come in to part pack the house. He was very efficient and nothing was an issue for him.
Hi there. Our review is a little unusual in that, on the whole, the Conroys service was a good experience and our "yes" to using your services again (we will need to move again twice in the next 18 months locally in Napier) is somewhat dependent on the response we receive to this feedback. We had a bit of poor communication on the location of our plants that had to be separately transported but that wasn't a significant issue. However, what was really disappointing was the breakage of two items - one of very minor value but one of substantial sentimental value as it was a birthday gift to my wife (a "steamer" deckchair) accompanied by a failure by the guys moving our stuff to point out the obvious breakages. In fact, it seems more than likely that the broken items were placed at new home here in Napier in such a manner that we would not pick up the breakages until some time down the track when we came (as we now have) to move those items to a different place in the house. I understand that accidents happen and that's what insurance is for (which we arranged separately). But we are less than happy with the apparent failure to "fess up" when these breakages occurred. I would have expected a more open and honest approach.
