"This move was more difficult than it needed to be"
"best"
best we have had.
"The shift was totally without hassle"
The shift was totally without hassle, the movers working well with our helpersand care taken with all our things! It was a huge truck load and they managed very well. Thank you for you help. Sorry for the delay in replying - just back on the net!!
"This is our second move"
Packing in Townsville was done illogically, with TV, computers, furniture packed separately from the cables, remotes, assembly bolts. Some things were triple wrapped, while other ones were unprotcted. Car delivery process was not explained upfront. When we got notified about our car arrival, it turned out the car shops processing the cars coming from overseas were booked out for weeks.
This is our second move with Conroy. The first one was totally awesome, so I am not sure why they dropped the ball this time.

"all good"
There appeared to be a lack of communication between Sydney and Napier as had approximately 20 boxes marked "Access from Storage" written on them and this was also marked on the documentation but Napier knew nothing about it.
Other than that all good
"look at a continuous improvement programme"
We moved a full house and car from Australia to NZ. The Aus admin and coordination was excellent with Jaymee doing an excellent job.
The NZ end seemed to stumble along sending me emails regarding goods that have been confirmed as left Aus and were already in NZ and cleared. On unpacking we had an extensive antique collection which was outlined and stressed at original assessment in Australia and was told we are a high quality mover, this we found to be incorrect. Regarding damages we are realistic and would expect some items with a scuff or a mark on it but our wooden antiques had an array of damages from broken legs to carvings split and broken off, lamps (3) that were so heavily crushed that even a bulb could not be inserted. Our Vatican lamp was bent because again blankets were forced down so hard it bent it, Items that should be together were apart in unrelated boxes that were marked as kitchen ware but was linen so we could not find even the microwave plate that goes in the microwave, lamps that had been dismantled and the parts scattered throught other boxes. The TV in its packing box was completly unsupported with all its packing polystyrene fallen away with the TV flopping forward and backward in its box, luckily this works so far. The inventory was often inaccurate and not detailed enough to be of much use like kitchen ware having mostly linen in it and only really stated what room it was from and not what was in the box,(nightmare this one). The ceramics was also a scary sight with antique articles with only one wrap of paper and placed in boxes and unsupported so they rubbed together and so on we go.
The car well that got a broken passenger mirror so thanks for telling me that one. Im ok if im told but in this case it was hidden from me. The car sat in Conroy yard for 9 days before I rang and inquired as to its progress and all of a sudden it got processed that morning by MPI or MAF. I had previously alerted AA of its date of arrival and clearly nobody in Conroy advised AA it was here for processing because AA advised me they had had no notice of its clearance for pickup.
I found Conroy management easy to deal with and were friendly and approachable but company policys and procedures did not appear to flow on to the team at the frontline actually doing the job, Im sure Conroy management would not endorse putting two oil paintings, one under each arm with the hand clamping the picture to the body in the middle of the picture as an acceptable process of delivery but thats what we got im sorry to say (as of this date we have not unpacked the pictures yet and we are not looking forward to this at all).
Many items were packed well like our fridge and tools and chests of drawers and clothes, blankets and shoes, hats so all not bad, some good here.
The teams that delivered into the house were on time and worked efficiently and were respectfull of carpet and doorways so hat tip to them.
I was one of this companys first customers with the old Ford or it could have been a Bedford and they are from my hometown so I chose Conroy to redo the care that the move I had some 35-40 odd years back.
This was not a cheap move and nor did I ask for a cheap move but what I got was sorrily removed from a high end move.
Great Company, good people but needs to look at a continuous improvment programme and training to compete with the high end movers.
Kiwi.

"Pretty disappointed"
Pretty disapointed, outdoor table and pews were broken. A Metal cross was somehow broken. A display maniquin was broken in two. Have moved gear before and not had this problem.
This move was more difficult than it needed to be for two main reasons:
There were not enough staff on the job due to your staff shortages; and
The removal van only had a capacity of 28 cm for a load exceeding 36 cm .
Consequently the job ran late, an additional van was required and our dining table was damaged due to one person trying to turn the table over and breaking the table leg.
The men on the job worked hard and did their best under difficult circumstances.
We would be happy to discuss in more detail if required.
