We needed to have an empty house for 2 days while the carpets were renewed. Conroy Removals offered exactly what we needed with container storage eliminating needless double handling and they provided boxes and tape in advance. We (my wife) filled over 40, plus another 20 or so of our own. On pack-out day Conroy's men loaded all of these plus a lot of very heavy (and some breakable) furniture.
We were both extremely impressed with the friendly manner and quality of care displayed by all of the men who handled our precious belongings. Both loading out and delivering back. We especially appreciated the care and work put in to protecting and handling a vey heavy and "floppy" queen mattress. We have personal experience of how difficult this is!
We have no hesitation in recommending Conroy Removals to anyone wishing to move with the least hassle and best care taken of all things precious.
Our whole experience was excellent and well beyond our expectations.
If we ever need to move we know Conroy Removals will be our first and only choice to move us.
Mixed views on Conroy. Lynn Douglas was very efficient and prompt with her communication. She kept me in the loop with the process and progress and explained any queries I had on Customs and other authorities where importation of my goods were concerned. Thank You Lynn. However the Warehouse let the team down. I asked for confirmation of the time and date for the onward delivery of the shipment from Auckland to Whangarei and it was left to Lynn to chase the matter up after a week and no response.
Also part of the shipment was left in Auckland on account of no "tail-lift" vehicle being available. Not a show stopper as such but no communication either and when the remainder of the shipment was delivered, no forward advice was given and that in turn resulted in other committments made previously, to be rearranged. Normally no issue although time available to me over that time was very limited. Unfortunately, the delivery arrangements and weak communication by the warehouse administration was disappointing.
That said, the team of Neville, Krish and Trevor were very efficient, helpful and patient when the goods were being transferred to storage in Whangarei and are great representatives of Conroy.
Your staff were fantastic and very smart in their uniforms. Very careful with our furniture and a job very well done. We cannot thank those guys enough. A pleasure to have used your service. Thanks guy's.
The lads that unloaded our container did an excellent job. Very professional and quick. The only reason this is not a 5 star review is as our container was in storage for such a long time, our choice was the charges to access the our container while in storage. The storage costs were very competitive however the charges to access your goods I thought were checky at best. The reason given was health and safty of you being escorted while on site. While understand this as a customer I thought it was counter productive to good customer relationships.
Again we had a very positive experience using Conroy Removal service and I highly recommend them.
I appreciated the promptness in following up on my initial, and subsequent calls.

There was not enough room on the truck to collect the two items I had paid for, so only one was collected. This meant I had to organise the collection of the left behind item myself. I took photos of the truck when it arrived as soon as the doors were opened and it clearly shows no space left for the fridge/freezer that was left behind and the driver confirmed this.
The whole purpoise in using Conroy's on both Z and Y jobs was to save me time. I paid $180 for each job and I expect a full refund, as I would have collected both Christchurch and Asnburton goods and not just gone for one item at Ashburton.
I was advised by the person the goods were being collected from in Ashburton that only one of the two items was picked up. Your branch necver contacted me and still has not contacted me with any apology or anything.
On original job I also forget to place in the feed back that communication over the job was sub standard to say the least. The Chch branch did eventually call back just before 5 the day the delivery was suppossed to happen, despite earlier promising to call me back straight after lunch, and they said that they would be in Timaru around 7 to 7:30 but would only off load part being mainly the bed, and the rest the next morning. There was no point in that so I asked what was easier for them and they said all in the morning.
I have had no apology or answer from your company at all on my request for refund. Pretty poor considering. I really don’t know what else to say other than I have never received such pooir service from anyone.
Really not happy and really don’t know what else to say. There was a lack of communication regarding the pick up organised in Christchurch and in fact this is what I got from the person the goods were to be picked up from.
They never confirm when they were going to pick the bed up and they turn up yesterday at 2:30 pm while I was having a shower. As I explain after that I had to go and pick up my daughter, so they ended up loading the bed in a hurry and because I needed to leave after the loaded up the mattress I asked them to move a little so I could get out with my car out of my house and I thought they would move the truck like 50 m or so and then stop and tight up all the things but instead they keep on driving, I was going the same way as them and they drove for sure 5 blocks before we part different ways,
I don’t know how the bed turn up to yours but I take no responsibility if it was damaged in transit, this company was pretty unorganised and looks like there was not enough time to tight up the bed to the truck frame before they left ( not sure if they did or not but just in case I’m clarifying this)
