A great team of people who just wanted to help you
From the first visit from Derek, contact with Sarah (ex Cheviot girl), Scott, Steve, Craig, the extra 3 that popped in to make sure the job was done, Kyle (in Motueka). Great people a fair bit of banter, good/great company to be around. They all worked together to get us into our new home a day earlier than planned. All of these people would be welcome in our house.
Nothing is any trouble for employees of Conroy Removals. We have twice used their services to move personal affects, furniture etc from Australia to New Zealand, from both metropolitan and country locations. Everything was expedited for us, the move was stress free, timely and even though we moved valuable and fragile items, nothing was broken or lost. Thank you Conroys, your employees continue to be friendly, caring and helpful.
Unfortunately your team really let the South African Magna Thomson down. I would not recommend your team. My things were delivered in level 3 so no unpacking was done (understandably). I called for the recycling to be recollect today. Things did not run smoothly and Tony was very angry with me on the phone when I expressed my frustration. I then came home to find your truck has returned for the recycling for the second time today and the driver was aggressive and rude to me. I actually felt threatened by him and his hostility. The driver also swore in front of my 9 year old sons saying 'this is a lot of ******* boxes' which I do not appreciate. He had come to fetch the boxes from an international house removal? How many boxes did he expect to find? Overall I had a bad experience and your driver today was the final straw. I am lodging a formal complaint with Magna Thomson and advising them to partner with someone else this side.
The service was fine except that noone called us in advance of delivery - the delivery just turned up unexpectedly. In fact, I had emailled to check when delivery was scheduled the day before it arrived, and was told that "the Auckland depot will call the day before delivery". There was no mention that delivery was imminent. Luckily we were home at the time!
