Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersThe customer service has really been the biggest let down. I initially sent an online enquiry about our upcoming move and stated I wanted packing and moving. I received a reply with a link to book my move. moving day came and I was told that no packing had been booked and they were blaming me for not booking it properly. They managed to get one person to come pack and said the move would now be the next day. They sent me a quote that evening. The next day came and I got a phone call from the office demanding immediate payment or they would not pick up the boxes. Already a day behind I had no choice but to pay. Everything went into storage for a few weeks. While unloading I saw one of the movers drop our brand new baby cot. I was feeding my 4 month old when I saw it happen. They didn't tell me there was any damage. When we moved out of storage we were reluctant to use Conroy's again but thought if anything had happened it would be best to just deal with one company. After the move was completed to our new home I saw our cot had been so badly damaged we couldn't put it together. I contact Conroy's and advised that yes while dropping is an accident the cot wasn't even protected or packaged in anyway as I expected (they packaged everything in our last move when we used them) this makes them libable as they are the professionals. I received one response to advise they are looking into it. No further response received. Not happy at all.

Ps not 1 glass was broken
Everything went according to plan once we were allowed to move in these Covid times. An excellent service, and very reasonable price too from Wellington to Palmerston North.
2 guys devlievered our shipment and they did their best, however we had to help unpack as they were totallly understaffed, and more people were needed to do the job professionally. On the documentation it stated ' will need 4 staff at delivery. Very heavy' - however this wasn't the case. In all moves around the world we have never been asked to move boxes and unpack as that is not what we pay for, so this would need to be addressed in the future.
All communication with the company was excellent with regard to tracking our shipping.
The administration of our removal was great everybody very helpful, the packing was good but the actual removal, pickup and delivery could be improved
Awesome service !!!!
Breakages should have been advised at the time - packers would have known items had been damaged. Full move not completed - number of items left upstairs, bathroom and linen cupboard not packed. overall the packers were very polite and diligent.
Our shipment arrived last Friday afternoon, over 3 months after the pick up in HCMC, Vietnam.
We were extremely disappointed to find that both crates had suffered water damage and many of the cartons inside them were completely soaked and literally falling apart.
The damage to items inside was considerable. Many items were wet and very mouldy, and everything had a strong smell of mould.
Most of these items are no longer useable. My wife has discarded 10 pairs of shoes and 14 items of clothing. We managed to clean the mould from many other items.
What recourse do we have for compensation?
We did not take out insurance, but in this case it appears to be negligence in the storage of our crates that has led to the damage and not an accidental incident.

Jeremy and Adrienne Angland.
