I have given 3 stars even though I would recommend your services. The Australian leg of our move was seamless and well organised, great communication from Justin and Janelle. Communication from Mandeep whilst our goods were in transit was great.
Once our goods arrived in Wellington, the wheels fell off. I was not contacted once by anyone at Conroys NZ unless I called first. Mandeep emailed me to say my goods had been cleared, and that someone would be in touch in 1-2 days to confirm delivery. No one called me so I called, left messages that were never returned. Eventually I spoke to a human and arranged for my goods to be delivered, but not for another week (so I had to wait an extra 10 days for my goods). I had to call again the day before delivery to confirm that my goods were actually coming, again having to call numerous times in order to speak to someone.
Unfortunately you were too busy to arrange both delivery and unpacking on the same day, so my plans to have everything done on the one day ended up having the goods dropped off into my garage at 4pm, and then myself and my kids having to unpack mattresses, bedding and some kitchen goods to survive the night. The delivery staff told me that unpackers would be here at 9am the next day, by 10am no one was here.
Following on from a very heated phone call (from me, not Conroys), things vastly improved. I had 2 unpackers on my doorstep very quickly, 2 men who helped to move heavy stuff from the garage into the house. They all worked very hard, were extremely apologetic and went out of their way to make sure everything was done. Another truck stopped by at the end of the day to collect packing materials.
I am very grateful to the staff who jumped in on the day to help get everything done, they are a credit to you. However, it was a stressful and frustrating process that given your reputation and what I paid for your services, is not what I expected.

This is the second time I have used Conroy and the second time I've been unimpressed with the work ethic of the staff. I appreciate it is hard work and they need a break every now and then however, they were continually sitting around on their phones and smoking cigarettes and I thought uncomfortable asking them to return to work as I'm not their manager. I estimate at least two extra hours were wasted sitting around. I have already provided an online review and this feedback to other people. Several items are left behind and they did not want to carry a sofa up the stairs to the 10th floor apartment.
Overall I am happy with the removal from Conroys. However a real problem for us was the time from collection to when our household was shipped and recieved.
Having our booking many months before collection you could have been more proactive in booking a shippment. It was not until after you collected our household you then told me that our household was not being shipped until end of Dec. Collected start of Nov.
We did have a mirror damaged, rub marks on the bikes and a couple of wet boxes but on the hole not to bad.
I loved the online booking system which was very convenient. The movers were efficient and friendly. Payment was easy as it was an auto transaction taken from the card. I would recommend to others for the hassle free process and competitive rates. The only thing I will comment on for improvement was the communication. I was expecting a call a week before as that was the timeframe indicated but instead got a call the day before.
Had a small misunderstanding of all the stuff that needed to be move.
Some items were damaged but you expect that with your own packing. The concern was two large items that were shifted were damaged.
