"Friendly efficient moving"
"third time I have engaged Conroys"
This is the third time I have engaged Conroys for my removal and would always recommend them to my friends.
I have moved from Brisbane to Wanaka and everything was very good. I also moved a container of personal things from Thailand to New Zealand with a different cargo company and had to pay an 'under the table fee' of US$995 to the corrupt scum in Thai Customs other wise your cargo does not go!!

I have used Conroys for a while but have found that the centralised system to Napier does not work well at all. I just like to be able to ring the Auckland office rather than it going to Napier. I had some issues with my quotes (misunderstanding on the quote form) and when the boys turned up although the request had been sent through to Ak correctly by Caroline the Ak office was going to refuse to take one of my deliveries as they said they had no code (which they did). I had to spend considerable time sorting it out. One chap seemd very experienced but the other chap not so much as did not seem as confident in his carrying techniques although were very polite.They were caught bewtween their boss syaing they couldnt pick up my delivery and the Napier office saying they could.I had advised a heavy load but the truck had no mechanical lift making it very difficult.They said they would have to come back but I insisted on the load being attempted.I asked for a call 20 mins prior but that also did not happen (as I had said it was a pick up at my other location). I do not know how the delivery has gone yet although no news is good news.
Another aspect is the tracking of 11 items being picked up...I asked how this was going to be tracked and I did the stickering and coding myself and wrote on the back of the paperwork.I would asume stickers would be produced rather than my having to do them manually! Rather unprofessional..
So all in all a pretty average expereince to be honest.

I am very happy with time of delivery and communication with staff for requesting but your guys delivered one plastic box is broken and damaged all glasses inside even though I wrote the sign(Fragile) on box.

"very disappointing this time"
Disappointed with the movers this time after many previous moves with you. Took 6hrs for them to load as they had,other peoples items to squeeze on the truck despite us telling you we needed the big truck and it was only three months ago you shifted us from whitianga and they just got the truck shut. None of our beds were wrapped in plastic as done previously on all our moves so our brand new $3.500 bed was dirty from the truck! Our single bed had another rip in the base beside the one made on our last move. Boxes marked fragile are squashed, havent unpacked them yet but wxpecting breakages. The older guy broke my husbands compressor by using the hand truck, the compressor was on wheels so could have been easily wheeled. He broke a cover off it plus the line for the oil,and we had oil all over the drive, when we told him he left the broken parts on the drive and as he walked past them told us " Im sure you can buy replacement parts". When questioned why they hadnt plastic wrapped the beds we were ignored. they loaded our four white tall cupboards and to make more space on the truck they filled them with heavy items and then lifted them off the truck still full of heavy items and the backs of all of them were popped out nails and one had come apart by the strip at the back which he tried to fix and then got a brick to bang the nails back in. They didnt turn up on off loading day until 12.30 which was much later,than we were told ( due to them having to make a shower delivery on the way )so unloading was just dump,everything where ever despite telling them to put items where the clear labels said, ie which rooms, lots of master bedroom heavy boxes were in the other bedrooms. They put all the shed stuff on our deck and when my husband asked them to take them to the shed they said they only move it once so my husband moved it himself and they did drive down in the truck at the end with a couple of items that still wer on the deck. We are pretty disappointed in the service this time and dont feel confident to use you again due to all these issues. We have always used conroysmfor our moves to and from Australia and within Nz so its very disappointing this time.
