Excellent overall great packing team at Napier "no damage to any item" only one issue the transporter had a leaking roof which resulted in a lounge suite getting wet. The roof leak was known according to the un-packing crew.

Only issue I had that stopped a 5 star rating was I was not advised my belongings were on a truck on the way to me, I was to be advised. Was a surprise to be called by Scott asking if they were able to drop my gear off on Friday about an hour after the call at 1430. The guys were spot on and arrived at 1530hours, was very impressed with the delivery team.

It was an EQ Remove/Store/Return service. The good service and excellent communication were over shadowed by the damage to the goods. This was caused by bad handling and the indiscriminate use of wide adhesive tape.

Both the pick and delivery team were most helpful and obliging.
Had some minor damage to several items, which was attended promptly by local Manager.
Ther was an issue with a I-Pad that went missing over the first day that could not be resolved. Was not able to be located when all items were unpacked. A real mystery as to what actually happened.

"Some things were wrapped and shipped very poorly"
The good: Parts of the service were really good. Some things were wrapped and shipped really well. The price was about a grand or more cheaper than Crown or NZ Vanlines. They settled claims for damage in a timely manner.
The bad: Some things were wrapped and shipped very poorly, especially plants, but also ornaments and things. E.g. plants on top of plants; ornaments and lighting stuffed in drawers unwrapped. Things were left behind; they had to go back twice to get stuff. There was miscommunication between the different parts of the company (the office, the packers, and the movers). The excess on their insurance wasn't made very clear; it was in the fine print somewhere, but it should have been front and centre when signing up. I would normally be on top of that kind of thing, but amidst moving cities, changing jobs and selling a house, I didn't have time.
I have been very pleased with the service I have received from Conroy Removals in moving my household goods from Sydney to Wellington.
The level of support in getting documentation completed and processed promptly was excellent which removed a whole layer of compexity for me and made it far less stressful than it could have been. I was shipping a car which is of course another compplicating matter.
The goods were packed and collected without hassle or incident. Once they arrived in Wellington I was completely in the loop regarding customers and MPI clearances and also the arangemnts for the final delivery.
The truck arrived on time and with a very friendly and helpful team that were keen to understand what I wanted them to do and go the extra mile. The good themsselves were extremely well packaged and arrived in excellent condition.
My overall experience has been very positive and Conroy Removals have been great to work with so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone moving to or from Australia.
