Mick the packer we had was absolutely marvellous..........no breakages at all. Glasses and glassware, crockery, mirrors, pictures, photos all perfectly wrapped and arrived in pristine condition. I cannot praise Mick enough. Jason the driver and delivery man was not very caring with our possessions. Our mattress had a hole poked in it. Our rimu bedroom furniture was scraped and so was our teak lounge funiture. Various items were broken or damaged. Very careless! Overall we were extremely happy with Conroys. Thank you so much.

"disappointing experience overall"
I think things could be improved. While one issue was not the fault of Conroys - the sub contractor hired to help pack missed a cupboard in the kitchen after being told that was where the pots were,. The lack of communication from the Christchurch office was very disappointing. The information given by Brisbane office was that a Dunedin company was the NZ agent. After a couple of phonecalls to them, I was informed it was your Christchurch office. When I eventually got hold of Adam, he seemed very bored with having to arrange delivery, even though this was nearly a week after our furniture arrived. Our contact with Emma in Auckland had indicated that customs and quarantine had been cleared and that delivery should be the 4th or 8th. We had ensured that the delivery address was given in the time frame requested (2nd June). Even after telling Adam that we did want delivery, We heard nothing more and had to contact Emma to find out what was going on. We still did not hear from the Christchurch office re the delivery, it was the truck driver, who contacted us and advised delivery time. The result is a disappointing experience overall.

We understood from Allied Pickfords that our goods would be unpacked on delivery. Not really an issue as we have been able to unpack at leisure and as required. But this may need to be clarified with Allied Pickfords. Overall service great. Reception and delivery staff very friendly and efficient.

I really appreciate the way furniture was handled .Everything arrived in one piece even the most delicate things. I really like how everything was labelled and that you took time to put a plastic cover for my couch. The men who delivered my things in Wellington were very nice and handled everything with uttermost care. I definitely recommend you guys and thank so very much

There were a few things I noticed during this move. Firstly, Doug was great with completeing the quote process, keeping in touch with me, answering questions & professional etc. The 2 Tongan lads who did our packing were amazing. Careful, quite and consistant workers. Once the boys came the next day to uplift (total 4) I felt this was too many- as I thought the quote was higher than it should of been, and really we only needed 2 or 3 and it would have made a considerable difference to what we paid. the guys worked well, but didnt really have enough to do and spent time mucking around. Frustrating as we were paying for this. However they could have added value by coming and asking me if there was anything I needed help with. I also feel there needs to be one staff member who acts as the 'leader' or supervisior. maybe arrives, introduces the team and makes a plan with the customer and is the one to continue communicating throughout the moving process.
I hope my feedback is seen as helpful. I believe it is your guys in the truck and their abilities that bring buisness back.

I would have given your service a 5 Star but for the fact that one of your employees broke the leg off a small table. (He did apologise but the table can't be fixed.) The other younger man was both more helpful and more efficient in his actions.

(quite a bit of damage to hallway walls from trying to get desks in, and the corner of a book shelf)
I would only use you guys again if you were significantly cheaper than other companies. Your communication was not great. You guys showed up to collect the furniture with virtually no prior warning (somebody was going to call ahead of time to arrange a time) and then I could not get a straight answer regarding when the furniture would be delivered at the other end. In fact, an office person had told me it would be delivered on either 4th or 5th June. After it didn't arrive I called up to be told it would now be on the 8th June. Inconvenient, as there was nobody able to be at home this day, and I also had to spend a few more unexpected nights sleeping on the floor.
