100% commitment by the staff that moved our house. Even though Dave was retired, the old bugger never stopped. A credit to your company! All other staff we dealt with were helpful, friendly and generally a great bunch. Thank you to all involved in getting us to our new home.
Communication poor. Phoned 3 times to try find out when stuff was being delivered. Each time was told someone would be in touch soon. No one ever was. Then was contacted by the guys delivering it when they arrived at my home and no one was here! We'd been told that time that someone would be in touch 30min before hand but no one contacted us so thought it safe to go out.
Also a solid wood dining table that belonged to my grandmother has been broken. No help at all in trying to organise an estimate of dining table cost and damage. I wonder what I actually paid for in the more than $1000 worth of insurance paid.
While being pleased with packing and loading in Taupo on December 10th. It was a different story the next day unloading and placing furniture.
We understand it being acceptable to have a new inexperienced employee to load our contents but it certainly wasn't acceptable to have two out of the three operator's being in their first week as removal operators.
Your response to our complaint re the cratch on our Rimu unit is abysmal as it is due to negligence by inexperience operators and responsibility should have been accepted by Conroy's rather than an insurance claim.
In addition we do not feel that when moving elderly people heavy boxes should be left in the driveway.
The communication with the Auckland Branch was terrible. On the day of the move they gave us a time they would be there to load the truck. After 1 hour we tried to get hold of someone to find out what was happening. Got no reply for any of the numbers. they arrived 2.5 hours late.
I was also advised that our goods where being pack into a container which would go into sortage and then be delivered on the agreed date. When the truck arrived our goods have been removed from the container and packed in the luck. Boxes had fully over, and it appeared things have just been throw into their with out any thought,. The person who came to deleiver our goods was not happy and complained all the time as he was supose to have two other helping and only 1 turned up. He was in a hurry to get unload and on the road back to Auckland. He was not happy that there where stairs in the house, and that things like beds, mattresses had to be taken up them.
The second person who came to help was very good. He listen to what was asked when boxes etc where being unload.
We had some damage to items.
Our mattress was ripped on the underside;
Our TV had some kind of mark on the front of it and something was rattling in the back. It no longer worked.
Overall we do not beleive that Conroy's look good care of our goods, neither was the communiticaton at the Auckland site any good, hence the low rating.
The truck was 20 minutes late on both days. On the first day, there was a further delay when the driver had to go get a different truck. I would have thought that when I had my quote, everything like the driveway and access etc, would have been taken into consideration.
My only complaint was I was not contacted to tell me what time the truck wd be coming on the Monday morning. When I phoned early on the Monday morning the customer service guy said they had phoned an left a message. I only have a mobile an that was number Conroy's had - no missed call an no message. Just as well I phoned as truck came very early
actual guys who did my move were fantastic but Conroy's need to make sure people know what time they are coming
We were very pleased with Kelvin & Colby. They were careful with our furniture and walls were not damaged. Both were friendly & professional. Full Marks. Well done.
We had to wait 13 days for our plants to arrive that had been offloaded into a warehouse in Auckland without our prior knowledge. It was not until our original load arrived that we were told there had been a mishap.We paid serious money to use your services and the lack of communication was very poor. Even when the second load did arrive we were only given 20 minutes notice and we were 15 minutes away, so had to cancel a meeting to ensure delivery.
