Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersThe teams who packed and transported from sydney and delivered and unpacked in auckland were amazing, helpful guys with a lot of good cheer and goodwill, making it a far less stressful process than it could have been.
We found Conroys very accomodating and happy to by pass the online quote and the spreadsheet and jump straight to the virtual home survey. This was gretly appreciated as other companies had a delay of a week for a home survey and the inital quote numbers were very pricey. The other companies also made a fuss about our steel Jungle Gym, but Conroys were unphased figured it out without need for an extra truck (?!)
The team packing up navigated our driveway amazingly! My mother (not from Wellington, so not used to seeing big trucks go down step narrow driveways) was very impressed with their skill! They packed the container carefully and nothing was broken or damaged in transit. Thank you :)
They also worked with us to secure a Saturday delivery - which, I know, we didn't end up using. We appreicated the phone calls from the TGA team on the Friday to check in if we were able to accept a Friday delivery they were incredibly flexible when we were given access to the house a bit after lunch. My husband was on site for the delivery and said they were insanely fast at unloading - figured they wanted to get back home on a Friday afternoon ;) highly motivated!

Really friendly and helpful staff
Household items were packed poorly ,inconsistent protective coverings applied to some items and not others, also incorrectly labeled boxes. Damage to the interior of property on removal and delivery. Damage to some furniture.
Extra cost incurred after communicating with opertaions the 40Ft truck and trailer would not be able to make it into the driveway.
Overall a very disappointing experience.

Removal team on site were fabulous. Really efficient and very personable. Everything was handled with care and everything arrived safely in one piece. The sales and quote process was equally excellent. My one suggestion is it would have been great for the removal guys to carry a handful of boxes and bubble wrap on the truck as we were short by a couple on the day when packing last minute items in use till then. However a work around was found. Good work team
No problems with the shift, all went well.
The packing was interesting... Firstly, I was disapointed that after politely asking the two guys to wear masks, one work the mask around his chin for most of the day, and the other just wouldn't wear one (mask exemption apparently, eyeroll). I was in a precarious position of knowing there there were/are very limited ferry sailings available, and if I'd had to postpone moving due to having covid, it would have been weeks before I could get another ferry sailing. Also, two very different approaches from the two packers. One used miles and miles of paper for wrapping non-breakable objects (such as plastic cups), the other didn't use nearly enough - for example, he placed 3 large ceramic garden planters one inside the other, with minimal packing, and with a HAMMER loose in the same box. FFS. The ceramic planters are now totally jammed together, and the largest one has a large crack in it. Also, one of the guys dragged a heavy cabinet across my kitchen floor, scratching the floor. I was told to phone somebody else to sort it out, which I have not gotten around to doing. Bit annoyed that this became my job to sort.
Delivery was late, and very poorly communicated. I had delayed starting my new job by a day, so I could be at home on the scheduled day for the delivery of my stuff. Some guy in Tauranga even rang me in the morning to confirm their delivery time of "lunchtime". At 2pm, wondering where they delivery team was, I contacted the office person, who discovered that my container had not even left the South Island! I get that covid has disrupted services (see above), but seriously, how did nobody think to let me know, especially after phoning me to tell me just that morning that it was on it's way!
