Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersI appreciate the help moving but some goods didn't arrive in great condition. Bedside drawers were destroyed as it arrived skewed with sides ripped apart. Also the soft furnishings were damp and musty smelling. The people I spoke to on the phone were all great and the pickup and delivery folk were all very friendly.
Recently I used Conroys to move from Wairoa to Napier. The Moving men who arrived to load up the truck were very helpful and obliging. The way they handled my household items was professional and respectful. Conroys made the initial arrangements very easy with good communication and on Moving Day, the whole process was handled with good humour and sensitivity to a potentially stressful day. I was impressed with the initial meeting, quote, and follow-up just before collection. Confirmation of when the packers would be on site and when the truck would be on site the next day.. Only disappointment was the gentleman packing up lady/gentleman's panama type hats put them at the bottom of the box and piled other stuff on top which kind of flattened them. ☹. Overall I was impressed with the team and nothing (apart from the hats) got damaged. They were pleasant, fast, and efficient.

Left disappointed with this service. Initial communication where staff gave the impression they didn't want/ need our job. The person who ended up organizing the move was not even aware we were on their list. Deeply disappointed that minimal care was given to the stacking/ packing of truck to ensure goods were safely placed. Also the lack of wrapping of items led to damage of goods. Hugely disappointed that no responsibility on conroys part for this is acknowledged, and that the purchase of insurance covers packers inability to do a job efficiently/ properly. For some unknown reason the truck turned up for delivery with the padlock undone. Finally more disappointment to hear that staff do not enjoy their job... which obviously reflected in the way they perform or not perform.
Bulk of the goods were delivered on Tuesday/Wednesday (1/2 Feb). Still waiting for the remainder of the goods to be delivered. These were picked up 27 Jan. They're pot plants. I'm worried that they may not survive 11 days after collection.
If someone from the office could at least give me some notice as to when to expect these please.
Did they happen to find a castor to a chair in the truck? We lost one. Overall the team that moved in the day were amazing.
Guys were excellent. Surprised tho that to supply packing materials you charged $320.00 for all used boxes and 6 rolls of tape. No bubble wrap or paper.
Note: I am not sure if I would actually use Conroy again or recommend you to others.
The container with my household effects arrived in Lyttleton on 31 December 2021. It then took over four weeks (!) before Conroy was finally able to deliver my stuff in Wellington. Communication was absolutely terrible - I always had to call and email for information. If I left messages, my calls were not returned. There was no proactive communication from your Wellington team.
Delivery of my household effects was on Wednesday, 2 February 2022. I had to call on Wednesday morning to get an approximate delivery time! To me, that's simply poor customer service and not acceptable.
We were very happy with our packers and movers. They worked so hard and we have nothing but praise for them.
We were disappointed that the truck didn't arrive until 10am as it was supposed to be 8.30am. Shane messaged me saying it was due to a safety stop work meeting, but the moving guys said the truck had not been emptied the night before, which is not good enough. This delay made it very stressful in the afternoon when the new owners started moving in and we hadn't moved out. It was worst case scenario, and would have been avoided if the truck had arrived on time.
Also the blankets used could do with a clean or airing, as we had alot of dust on our furniture.
