As a regular user of your company's services, your service on this occasion was not up to the usual standard I've experienced in the past. Two packers turned up the whole house should have been packed up within 8 hours, one packer was clearly inexperienced and never made it out of the garage, so the packing was not finished that day. The following day was move-out day, instead of your truck arriving at 8am to transport my furniture, it got pushed out until 12 noon to allow one packer to return to finish off packing. The truck then didn't arrive until 1.30pm, and there was over an hour delay getting a second container to pick up 11 items which wouldn't fit in the first container. This held up the new owner of the house moving in, truck with second container didn't leave until 3.45pm. At the unload point 6 weeks later, I'd booked the truck to arrive at 12 noon, it didn't arrive until 2.30pm. We have a house lot of furniture to pack and uplift in Taupo later on this year, I hope that the agreed truck times are adhered to next time please.

Overall everything has gone well so far, the Moving Maids who packed our HHGPE were great, very pleasant and easy to talk to. They seemed thorough on their packing and gave us lots of insight and answered all of our queries. The only gripe is really the lack of communication advising when the packers were going to come, after being told that we would receive a call from someone the day before - this didn't happen. My advice on this is to under promise and over deliver on your communications, if you tell us that you are going to contact us the day before, then call us the day before. This creates unrequired worry / anxiety if the packers are going to come.The next day was the same, the movers were great, extremley pleasant and well presented, communicated well with us and highly expereinced. They helped out and were mindful of our circumstances with young children to deal with also. They were a bit surprised about a few things to do with a queen size slat base that needed to be packed down but were helpful with this and gave us some assistance. I guess it shows a slight disconenct between the info at quoting time to the movers on the day, which I would imagine is quite common in the removal industry. We received a txt message the day before advising that the movers were to arrive at 8:30am, they didn't arrive until around 11am, which once again caused a bit of angst / anxiety, it would of been good if someone had phoned at 8:30am to advise of the delay. The movers apologised when they arrived, advising they had been on another delivery at a school. The delay was fine in itself, however its just the communication that could be improved. They did a great job and there was no apparent damge to our house, the guys were strong and worked really effeceintly and quickly, we were very impressed.Overall a great packing and moving expereince with a few improvements on communications.Fingers crossed for a great outturn in Queenstown!
