"This is our fifth move with Conroys"
Our overall experience was good but there were a couple of things. Some things were left behind but were quickly picked up when pointed out. Also marking of boxes with items wasn't accurate and created some issues trying to find things as we didn't want completely unpack when first moved into our new house.
Still overall we are very happy with the move and service. This is our fifth move with Conroys.

"added a bit of fun and laughter"
Moving again within six months the decision to again employ Conroy was without question. Both times it was a great experience with such efficient personnel who made it a stress free day and also added a bit of fun and laughter. Well done Conroy and I can highly recommend your services.
"several items of damage"
I was initially very happy with all aspects of the move. The first contacts were great and staff I spoke with could not have been more helpful. Great communication, keeping me informed at every stage of the preparation. The staff who turned up on the day were very helpful. At that stage, I could not have been happier with how things had gone.
When I got to unpack at my new home, I discovered several items of damage, i.e.1. A large wooden bookcase had obviously been in transit upside down as the ornate moulding had been bashed and broken in several places.2. I left items of a rare and valuable dinner set for your 'experts' to pack as I was informed that you would not insure any items you had not packed. (I had previously transported this dinner set all the way from Ireland without mishap.) When I came to unpack it, one of the dinner plates had been smashed.3. An inexpensive wine glass was broken,
I thought I had insurance, but when I informed your office of the damage I was told that I did not have the correct cover, i.e. limited cover.
Before the move I had taken insurance cover on advice from your Auckland office. I had been given an incorrect estimate in the first instance so I spoke directly with your office and was led to believe that the term 'limited' related to a dollar value.
Consequently, my dissatisfaction, relates to;1. Bad advice in respect of the insurance cover.2. An instance of poor packing of a special item, and 3. Insufficient labelling as to the correct upright positon which caused severe damage to the bookcase.A pity, because it ruined what otherwise was a very good move experience.
"absolutely wonderful"
I would like to single out the two men who delivered our container they were absolutely wonderful.

We were most impressed with the service we received especially from the guys who picked up and delivered our belongings. They turned up as promised, at exactly when they said. They were efficient and left no stone unturned. They certainly took any concern on our part upon themselves from start to finish. We couldn't recommend them enough.

We need a 'Maybe' option for questions 2 and 3. I felt the customer service from the Delivery and Sales people was excellent. However, your Operations people need to work on their communication and organisation skills. I could not get hold of Peter when the truck was late, there was no answer and he did not return my calls after leaving a message. The truck was meant to be on-site on Wednesday October 5th between 8:30 and 9am but did not arrive until closer to 11:30. When I was talking to the lads loading the truck, apparently they had been waiting all morning to get assigned a job! It sounds like there is an element of disorganisation in the Auckland operations. The same could not be said for the Hawkes Bay people - they were very good. All of the delivery people were good at both ends, as was the salesman (Scott) and customer support (Pea) and the Hawkes Bay operations guy (can't rememer his name sorry) - I wish I could say the same for Peter in Auckland Operations but I can't. We got there eventually which was good but moving is a stressful experience and I believe there is some work to be done there. Other than that it was a good experience, there was some minor damage to a couple of the larger pieces of wooden furniture but that is to be expected. Thanks for the good move!

"movers arrived exactly when they said"
Our movers arrived exactly when they said. They worked quickly and were very careful. They were polite and communicative. At the property where we moved to we had some challenges getting the sofas into the house and they were very helpful; removing the front door and then the legs of the sofas to make it work. We were extremely appreciative. It was a very good experience. Thanks!
