As per my call the guys we had this time wer awful. The worst was they returned to where we were moving from and walked into the house without knocking and Alisha was inside amd had just had a shower. They were in the laundry washing hands and it is completely unacceptable. They also took an age to move and not helped by one sitting on a chair in the garage for around 30 mins on the phone. At the new house the builders wouldnt let them in the house as they had no confident they wouldnt trash it when carrying things around

The service I received in Australia was generally excellent, particularly from Lee Northwood and his team who was most helpful and informative.
However I was a little disapointed by the standard of some the packing as I have found a couple of examples of heavy items such as a workshop bench vice being dropped into a box along with a Makita jobsite radio. Neither item had been wrapped. Fortunately apart from some minor scuffing to the radios' plastic case there was no major damage.
However as I have had to place my possesions into storage I'm unable to check the rest of the consignment. If this an example of what I may find when I do move into a property and unpack and unwrap everything I believe I have reason to be concerned. And given I may have the consignment in storage for the next 6-12 months would I still have a claim against the transit insurance policy?
I also had to spend 2 days and travel over 400 kms in order to find a box that had not been marked off the inventory list on arrival and retrieve an item from another persons consignment that was placed in with mine.
Communication once the consignment arrived in NZ left a bit to be desired, I had contact with 4 different people in different offices chasing information as the consignment was delayed due to administration errors by another client sharing the container. A single point of contact would have been preferred and being informed of the delays in a timely fashion should have been mandatory.
Moving back to New Zealand after a decade away and attempting to re establish a life here is a stressful experience, having to expend considerable time, effort, and money chasing after a service I have already paid for doesnt help
"Excellent service"
Excellent service. Communication was easy and prices were very competitive. Everyone we dealt with was professional and efficient. We received our furniture within the time frame given in good conditions. Everything had been packed with great care and delivered thoughtfully. The only thing we didn't know about is that the content insurance gives you 7 days to make a claim which is not long since all our furnitures had to be stored. So we had to open all the boxes to make sure everything was fine. Other than that I wonder graduate to use Conroy services again.

There was a minor communication problem at the beginning, but overall the goods were packed extremely well and delivered within the time frame specified. I was however dissapointed with Customs - Australia, when my goods were inspected as they did not reseal items checked, to me that is unprofessional as they still have a duty of care.
The staff at Conroys were very good informing myself via email of where the goods were at at all times and I thank them greatly for that service.
I rated you only a 4 but you are closer to a 5

The service started out okay, but soon deteriorated. Communication from the Auckland office was poor, with emails missing information, no clear direction of the steps involved in clearing to delivering our items. The staff packing our furniture drop items and some of our furniture/whiteware has been damaged. We did have some friendly staff at different points but this was overshadowed by the unclear communication and damage to our possessions. We are still waiting for a motorcycle key to be delivered as this apparently was left in the Sydney Warehouse. I certainly won’t be recommending Conroys to anyone else.

"The house move went perfectly"
The house move went perfectly, the guys arrived before time due to rain which worked out great as we had to hand keys over much earlier than expected. The team were quick, professional, careful and friendly so 5 star.
We decided not to choose insurance for the move after a previous sour experience moving my sons student stuff to Christchurch with Conroys. I wont rake up past problems but enough to say this experience kind of redeemed Conroys in our view. I would recommend Conroys but with some points of caution on the insurance terms.

From the moment we dropped the trailer off it had been a disaster. My Mrs left her wallet on the trailer inside your loading shed in Melb, it got taken out of there & the couple hundred $ cash taken from it in, then chucked on the footpath out front of loading yard & office. I always asked for a drop off to Melb, delivery from Conroy to Dunedin. I was never given any paper work or quotes that said Melb to Christchurch. All the paper work I was sent were invoices saying that the delivery would be to Dunedin. Not once did I receive a quote saying Melb to Christchurch until I was told I had to pick the trailer up from Christchurch. From leaving our goods supposedly in trusted hands, to have my Mrs money stolen & then to not be completely filled in on depot to depot information. I won't be recommending Conroy to anyone & I'll be making sure any of my family or friends that are coming & going from Oz or NZ won't be using Conroy either.

A good careful pack and shift. Nothing broken. Except the entire contents of my fridge and freezer plus a 6 piece dinner set were left behind!
I was very impressed at the Aussie end of things.
If I were to use Conroys services again I would ensure the bottoms of my boxes were waterproof. As 4 of my cardboard boxes were very wet and in one case the bottom had almost fallen out. So......all the way from Toowoomba NSW to Nelson only to get wet either Chch or Nelson.......I think Nelson . Oh so close.
