"quite happy With Conroy's overall service"
I was quite happy With Conroy's overall service and will definitely use them again. My fridge was damaged (dented) during the move which I'm not happy about but I could not afford the insurance.

To whom it may concern,
I was happy with the pick-up and packaging part of the furniture relocation process from our property in Auckland, however there were a couple of items which have left me feeling less than satified with Conroy Removal's services:
- Two of the mattresses although put into plastic bags were slightly damaged by sliding/scuffing which has affected the material.
- One of the legs on the chairs that was relocated was broken during transit - the 4 legs were obviously removed after the damage but no mention was made to me regarding damage.
- At the new location for the furniture only one Conroy representative was present meaning that I had to help unload and locate furniture - this is the most dissapointing part of the experience for me as I was of the understanding that the loading/unloading of the furniture was part of the service that I had paid for!
I would appreciate a response to these items please, especially regarding the third item on the above list.
Regards,
Vaughan

My bedside table was broken and the corner of my tv cabinet is scratched and paint has cracked off. Would like it repaired
"a few items were quite badly damaged"
Although the guys moving the furniture were very helpful and friendly, a few items were quite badly damaged.

King sized bed - 8 of 12 bolts arrived. At least all the hardware was taped to a piece of the bed. (Managed to buy the correct missing bolts)
3 TVs. Not a wire in sight. (Have found all the wires, finally. Still missing one wire, 30 m long, for Internet connection? I'm sure it is somewhere, just haven't gotten through the every box)
Outdoor table. No hardware. I repeat NONE. I think I have bought the correct bolts for part of it. Don't know if it is possible to buy the second type, that has a metal tube that inserts in to the wood, that the bolt screws into. 4 I've bought and 8 unknown. ( bought correct bolts, so everything is set up)
Clothes from closets, all folded into boxes, with no paper protection. Some note never folded, just look like they were dumped in. What happened to boxes where the clothes remained hanging? Wrinkles that will have to be sent to the dry cleaners to be pressed out.
Thousands upon thousands of beads that were in small drawers in white square cubes (like storage chests), taken out and packed....somewhere. Cubes wrapped, empty, and placed into boxes. Makes for double the boxes. Tubes of beads, in a stand, over 250 tubes, taken out and packed somewhere. I've found the stand....
Chests of drawers, emptied and shipped. Again doubling the space required for shipping.
A box with one item, and an empty laundry basket.
A box with plastic storage baskets, empty, and on top of that barbells fully weighted. Also, in the box, two pairs of shoes, just thrown in.
Also, a board, just a plain board, that the tv sat on. Seems to have not made the journey.
The packers were freaked about how much stuff to pack, and yet they doubled their work load, by emptying drawers.
I could continue, as every time I look in a box, I find some other bit of ..... that makes me mad all over again. We have moved many times, and never, never have we struggled so much on the receiving end.
"This move was more difficult than it needed to be"
This move was more difficult than it needed to be for two main reasons:
There were not enough staff on the job due to your staff shortages; and
The removal van only had a capacity of 28 cm for a load exceeding 36 cm .
Consequently the job ran late, an additional van was required and our dining table was damaged due to one person trying to turn the table over and breaking the table leg.
The men on the job worked hard and did their best under difficult circumstances.
We would be happy to discuss in more detail if required.

"This is our second move"
Packing in Townsville was done illogically, with TV, computers, furniture packed separately from the cables, remotes, assembly bolts. Some things were triple wrapped, while other ones were unprotcted. Car delivery process was not explained upfront. When we got notified about our car arrival, it turned out the car shops processing the cars coming from overseas were booked out for weeks.
This is our second move with Conroy. The first one was totally awesome, so I am not sure why they dropped the ball this time.
"Pretty disappointed"
Pretty disapointed, outdoor table and pews were broken. A Metal cross was somehow broken. A display maniquin was broken in two. Have moved gear before and not had this problem.

In regards to the drivers they were excellent but whoever loaded their truck missed 5 or so boxes so they had to come back two days later so this is why I am only giving 3/5.
"communication and customer service was extremely poor"
The Auckland guys picking our goods up, and the team unpacking and delivering in Tauranga were excellent. However the call centre contact, communication and customer service was extremely poor. No contact was made with us after the original booking, we had to do all the chasing to call to get information. We were told a named individual was our co-ordinator but she failed to return a call when we left a message. We also called for some advice about how best to pack some items which wasn't very helpful. We didn't even know when delivery to our new home was expected until a very short time before, to know when to arrive with keys to the new location. So customer service needs to be improved considerably.
"No complaints"
Adequate shift punctual nice guys no concerns just not as good as the crew that moved us last time. No complaints though
Most aspects of the move were really good. I am still unpacking the boxes and everything seems to be Ok so far. The only frustration was that the guys who loaded the truck in Auckland had had a big night and were definitely hung over. They did a good job but were very slow. Really not very professional
