First visit dropped table and broke tiles whilist others watched on. Second visit hit side of house with couch and was only luck that avoided damage. At another pick-up it was requested that team didn't walk on newly sewn lawn, was walked on. At final destination mattress was ripped on side of house. And at one of the pick ups, no bags were provided to wrap couch and cushions.

The boys who arrived were very friendly and efficient and our property was collected and arrived safely in the two locations.
The two areas that I would suggest need a little improvement was the detail on the manifest, which was a little light and when unpacking it was difficut to make sure that the right units were ticked off as they came off the truck. The other issue we had was with the communication. I was contacted about midday of the prior to collection but was unable to take the call and when I called back had no answer a couple of times, to then be told that Cam was out and he was the only one who could tell me when they would be coming the next day. He did call me back later in the afternoon and that it was all arranged. We had been told that delivery would be the following Wednesday, but had no idea of when the truck would arrive until I recieved a text at 5:30am of Wednesday advising me they would arrive at 9am, only for them to then arrive at 7:30. This was fine but not the best communication.

Very quick and cheerful
Guys were generally awesome. Very quick and cheerful. But it seemed no point setting the time for them to arrive. I understand they had a full day booked, but asking twice the preferred time for delivery and then completely ignoring it was a bit frustrating. Especially as I had the chain of other bookings that relied on that. Also, broke quite a number of things and left carpets dirty. I think mainly because guys were really trying to finish as quickly as possible. I understand that - but (!) the price was still paid in full (not for a 'quick untidy' job). I had really great feedback from other people using the service (that's why I chose this company). And I feel that this feedback was well deserved. It is just us were quite unlucky.

Friendly and worked hard
Your moving guys were all great people. Friendly and worked hard. What I did find frustrating was your inability to provide both collection and delivery details until the day before the event. This frustrated us with our planning around getting out of our house and organising family to help at delivery end. It's an area I would think you could do better on considering we arranged this five weeks in advance.

We had quite a bit of damage and we were disappointed this time.

The truck was only filled half way and Whatu was asked to take a bed down, which my understanding was I do the small boxes and big items were you's. Damaged queen bed underneath. Looks like feet were pushed into it. Smashed mirror also. I didn't notice the bed until I was making it up. At this end the guys were great.

Christine and the crew who came and packed for us were great. However movers had to be repeatedly reminded to take stuff (it was all going), knocked over stacks of packed boxes and broke 3 large items. There was also a miscommunication between office and operations staff which was made to feel like my problem to solve.
Very polite and respectful
During the initial set up over the phone, I just felt like my comments were not valued, even though I tried to explain clearly the level of service I required.
On the day, three men were assigned with a 40cube truck, which was overkill when two men and a smaller vehicle would have been adequate, but thankfully I was told it had no bearing on the service price.
The team that carried out the work were fantastic. Very polite and respectful. Loading took less than 20 minutes and unload was done within 30 minutes of arrival at destination. Many thanks to the team.
From the start to finish Conroy staff were fantastic, friendly and motivated. The delivery to Hope Island was carried out with efficient professionalism, a great team. Likewise the packing crew in NZ were great.
However between leaving our Napier house, being stored in your warehouse, being repacked into a container and arriving in Hope Island QLD, our goods had some rough treatment, and one special piece, which we highlighted to the packers, was not packed well and its box was harshly treated, resulting in a major and expensive breakage.
We have nine plastic boxes that were broken, some worse than others, like they had been dropped, or hit the ground hard. Two small boxes of books had burst, been taped up and further damaged.
Overall the transportation side of the operation was nowhere near the level we have received from Conroy's in the past. Hence the 3-star review.
