"I was disappointed"
I found the driver to be forceful about payment, wanting to be paid by cheque which i dont use any more. I had given my credit card details over the phone when I booked truck. But because he was so insistent about getting a cheque, I had forgotten about the credit card detail that I had already given.
When I booked the truck I had specified that I needed a truck with a tail lift thing on the back which I was told would be available, but come the day of the move I was told it wasnt available as it was on another job. I said I would have to wait till it was free. I was dissapointed as I had pay my staff to sit around and wait for the truck to come.That was an extra cost of $140.00.
"I probably wouldn't RECOMMEND"
Whilst I have said I would not use Conroy again, I had no opportunity to say I might. Purely on our experience I probably wouldn't RECOMMEND them but I think it's more then Auckland office who were the cause of our difficulties rather than Napier.

No packers on day of uplift
Arrived late to uplift
Truck couldn't get up drive if loaded
Container too small so had to return next day
Some goods damaged by time off loaded 2 weeks later
Delivery and off load was smoothe and spot on time
ALL personal involved in the actual removal were lovely
"Our dining room chair was marked"
The new preson who was Brazilian - needs better orientation. Our dining room chair was marked, not thinking when putting the leather chair directly on each other making an indent. Walking away when the other person was struggling to finish a job and needed a hand, had to be called back by me to finish

"Overall very mixed reviews from me"
Booking was confirmed for 1-2pm. Called office at 230 only to be told that the boys were held up at another job and won't be around until 330. No communication with transport or dispatch team prior. Movers were friendly but casually threw the f bomb in there conversations whilst I had kids around (one very influential 7 year old). Quality of work during uplift was very good and communication was great. Beds were not reassembled at drop off and of course in the business it hadn't come to my attention until well after. Overall very mixed reviews from me.

The movers at the Napier end were excellent, worked hard under difficult weather conditions. The Auckland packers did not take enough care with labelling of boxes; also several items were damaged.
"delay with the arrival of the moving truck"
The one thing that weakened the experience was the delay with the arrival of the moving truck. We were advised to expect the truck between 8am & 8:30am but truck did not arrive till closer to 10am. Truck should have been on time or we should have been advised of the delay so we could adjust our plans.... Moving house is a big thing for us, even if its business as usual for Conroy... Keeping the customer informed costs nothing but goes a long way on the service measure and in terms of reputation and obtaining referral or repeat business. Thanks

"Condition of goods recieved was excellent"
Condition of goods recieved was excellent, despite having been in storage for more than five years.
However process of arranging delivery was terrible - your admin stuffed up the dates meaning the expected delivery was delayed for a fortnight, and even when the date was confirmed, the finance team got it wrong on e-mails.
Intial contact and quoting was great. However no communiation made regarding pick up date and time. Was told it would be Friday but we would be contacted to confirm time. No contact made and not picked up. Picked up the following week but again no contact made as to confirm day or time. Items travelled safely and were delivered with no damage. Better communication regarding delays/pick-up etc would have made the whole experience really good.
