As an international mover I would have preferred my customs and ag charges up front rather than being put in a position where this charge appeared to me to be a ransom before I received my property
"We have some damage to our furniture"
We have some damage to our furniture. Api and his crew in Napier did a fantastic job of loading the container for its trip to Tauranga. It was packed with blankets etc in a very neat and tidy way. Unfortunately when the truck from your depot in Tauranga was unloaded a castor that had been ripped from a table was taped up, our bedroom chests of drawers have dents on the top and our fridge now has a second dent. The two men who delivered the furniture were friendly and efficient. We can only assume that the people who removed the goods from the Napier container were just damn rough and have let your good team down. We are not looking for any claim.....I will repair the damage Many thanks for your otherwise efficient service. Regards Dennis

A communication breakdown bwteen Conroys and Big Save meant that the funiture we hoped to have picked up from my parents house when the delivery of new furniture was made to them, and transported back to Napier, didn't happen as smoothly as we had expected. This meant more phone calls and another visit by the delivery team on another day which was slightly inconvenient. All delivery staff were helpful and friendly although the initial delivery which was to a retirement home was made with only one person to lift and carry the couches. The groundsman was needed to help and it was lucky he was available.
"did not think the movers were very professional"
Wellington - did not think the movers were very professional. Lots of giggling, messing around, sitting on furniture in the drive. None of the big items (couches in particular) were wrapped as we were advised they were going to be by consultant (they were covered in blankets but that's not wrapping). One cupboard border/skirting was broken when transported. Considering the amount we paid, we expected MUCH better service
Nelson movers were much better (friendly, helpful, professional)
"OK, but some issues occurred"
Hi,
I put No above as there wasn't a mid option. The move was OK, but some issues occured.
Somewhere from Auckland to Tauranaga, 2 dining chairs went missing. They are specified on the move sheet, but have since vanished. Tauranga have contacted Auckand but Still no response.
Also the glass on a framed picture was broken during transit.
My new neighbours mailbox was broken by the movers. She is not happy and blaming me. I would expect a swift fix by conroy but so far nothing.
Some communication on progress and expectiation would be appreciated.

We recevied 3 quotes prior to chosing Conroys and chose you because you appeared to be the most professional with your quote and the representative (Rodney White) who came to our house was extremely helpful and professional.
We were advised that there would be 3 movers coming to our house to pack and move items to 2 seperate areas which were identifed however 5 movers turned up to our house which resulted in a signficant amount of confusion and there was no real structure in respect to who was doing what, that ended up with items being packed to go to storage which shouldnt have and items that should have gone to storage ending up at our rental, also the fridge was left behind at our house and also a cabinet that was meant to go to our rental ended up on the truck going to storage, this resulted in me using our van to relocate some of the goods as the container was full. Also a large mirror was smashed and we realised that accident happen however more care should have been taken, also our fridge which is new and suffered some damaged as it would appear that this has hit framework or doors or something causing damage. Also we were advised by the person who bought our house that there was a whole drawer of ktichen items that hadnt been packed and we now need to go back to our old house to retrieve. The movers in general were good bunch of blokes and 1 young lady and were certainly earger to please however as mentioned there was no real structure as no one took the lead which caused issues for both parties. we are currently awaiting a call from Conrroys to discuss the best way forward. The moves certainly raised stress levels for myself and my wife.

"communication issues need to be addressed"
I was very disappointed with the lack of communication once my things had cleared customs. I had given my cell phone number to conroys and yet the house line was called and I was not spoken to. I should have been the one concacted not the person who answered the phone they didn't know what was ment to happen. I was also ment to receive a call from conroys when my things were on their way to the site of drop off however no call was made and the truck ended up down a driveway it shouldn't have. The neighbors were not impressed and neither was I. I think your communication issues need to be addressed.

"The guys on pickup where great"
The guys on pickup where great however didnt have a delivery time and driver had a 11 metre wide entrance but managed to take out a post on edge of driveway. Two of the guys on delivery where great unloading one was bloody useless.
Storage and insurance costs were initially quoted by the Christchurch team for a 2 month period when in fact our goods were only going to be in storage for 3 weeks (1 week August and 2 weeks September). Our initial contract stated a weekly charge but the Christchurch team quoted by the month. This was quite disturbing but was finally resolved. I was very disappointed with the level of communication with regard to the delivery of our shipment from Christchurch to Wanaka, specifically the time allocated to the unpacking and reassembly of our goods. I contacted the Perth team of Lee and Vela for help and they were brilliant in getting it sorted for us. The actual delivery went well and I was very impressed with Robin and his team, Constan and Herman. They were careful, considerate and worked very efficiently. Robin was a great leader and fantastic at his role. He was the face of Conroy NZ for us and he is the reason I would recommend the use of this company.
