"much consternation"
It was incredibly difficult to get timely responses to questions and status updates. No one would give me a direct phone number to converse in real time with a real person. I left voicemail messages that were never returned. To top things off when delivery was finally made there was much consternation about your contractual obligations and then one of your employees broke one of my mirror stands on one of my antique dressers. To date I have heard nothing regarding how you plan to repair or pay for repairs to the stand. I suspect I will have to file an insurance claim despite the fact you should pay for the damage.
"Few items were missing"
Few items were missing and almost all broken and damaged , no response or apologies from company regarding this .
"everyone I was involved with were great"
Unfortunately I had to trust the packaging of some delicate China items to Conroy removals Australia I paid for them to be packed as wasn't sure if they were packed properly. Conroy removals apparently didn't look at the bottom layer of items and didn't wrap them individually. I lost a couple of items from breakage as they were not wrapped. These were valuable memories, that cannot be replaced. Considering they knew these boxes were coming to New Zealand I thought they would have been securely packed. But other than that everyone I was involved with were great.

Whilst I haven't received the 2nd load yet, the experience with packing wasn't as good as the 1st load.
Generally the 1st load was excellently packaged and the only breakages were photograph frame glass and a Chinese Bowl that had been broken on a previous trip.
I await to see what the next load arrived like

My goods arrived 27th march instead of 21st march. Been told 2 days in customs but not delivering goods to Glasgow until week beginning 17th April. Think that time from Southampton to Glasgow is excessive. Ive had to return to Netherlands from Glasgow as I came here to receive the goods into storage. Now I have to buy a further return flight from Amsterdam to Glasgow to teceove the goods sometime? 3rd week in April.

As per our previous move delivery of cartons for us to pack was a failure. Total mix up on collction details and contract number. Submitted quotations on the number above and as then told it should ended in a B, therefore I had not submitted the contract. Producing the confirmation email of receipt of my acceptance of your quotation resolved the problem and the goods were collected as agreed. Need to get departments to agree to same quotation numbers. The procedures for entery into the UK changed on the first April. It was agreat pity that you did not warn that this could possible happen, as it required a considerable ammount of documentation from NZ to complete.
"Not impressed this was basic packing skills"
This was our first shipment of possible 3 to the UK. Failure to deliver cartons so we could start packing was not very helpfull. The packing and collection went well and to schedule. Goods received in the UK were mainly fine other than damage to a sofas wheels that were not protected and have to be replaced. The stero cabinet door which was glass was not protected and arrived smashed to pieces. It was not wrapped properly or removed and wrapped and just had written on the outside packing GLASS! Not impressed this was basic packing skills.
"Good strong guys"
Good strong guys but need to adhere to health and safety policies. Someof them were carrying large, havy items on their own which should have beena shared load.
Also, could you please advise all staff to be more appropriate in their choice of language and topics of converstaion regardless of whether or not they can see the client. Swearing etc may be commonplace in a lot of people's lives but I don't believe it's appropriate in the workplace and reflects badly upon the company.
They did a good job though.
"a little disappointed"
Was a little disappointed a couple of things were damaged, and the response from a employee was you'll have a builder mate that can fix that. Have moved alot with conroys never had a problem ever before. I guess they did well considering the wet conditions.
"The shift took too long"
The above questions are unanswered because I would share our experiences with anyone I was recommending the services to. It would be up to them if they choose to use your services. The side of my near new Fridge Freezer (which appears to have been dropped) is marked and paint off. The workers did not advise me. The operations manager went to the wrong house so workers and customers expectations were different. The shift took too long as they had to wait an hour for the second stage of the move and double handling took place. The Op's Manager told my husband he would ring me to discuss, I never heard from him. The next day the adjusted account came through without any conversations. Workers need to keep their energy up (be encouraged through the day to eat and drink). I am sure this is why this shift took the time it took.
"staff bickered"
I found some of the staff bickered all day and a stand in employee for the packing appeared quite dodgy. Our couch was ripped, a duchess scratched along the top and a ottoman torn. The man who quoted was very professional though and I would definitly recommend him.
There seems to be a lack of communication between to staff booking the jobs and those carrying out the jobs. The first truck arrived at 9am but no tools, bubble or export wrap, which were all required to pack my things. At the delivery end, again the truck arrived with no tools to assemble the furniture that needed assembling.
Also one incident of poor placement of a fragile item in the container. Two glass shelves were placed on top of a surface that was not flat and something heavy placed on top of them, so now the shelves are smashed.
Customer service at the front end was very good. Hannah listened to all my concerns and offered solutions for packing. She also offered advice on what would be difficult to pack in the container and how best to pack it.
