Move was a great deal but I fear this was at expense of other things.
PS4 Controller has gone missing after the move, not sure what happened with it. But it was in the lounge and I was had advised I wanted to transport the playstation myself.
Also truck wasn't large enough to take all of our belongings, so I had to arrange for the rest of our stuff to be moved by family.
At one stage I caught one of the local contractors dragging a set of shelves across a polished wooden floor! Not like it was heavy or anything. This was unacceptable! I had to ask him to not drag any furniture again. Luckily there was no scratching on the wooden floor as the shelves were quite light. However there was some scratching on the lino!
In saying all that, all the people I have dealt the staff were all very pleasant to deal with, very friendly.

"overall experience was not fantastic"
The guys that did the packing were excellent, however we had issues when the container got lost in Wellington and the whole transit took far longer than the 7 days we were advised of at the beginning when we were quoted. In fact we went with you even though you were more expensive than the other quote as we had heard good things, however our overall experience was not fantastic

The three young me who carried out my move were pleasant and very obliging. I did feel however that they had no training in proper lifting techniques of heavy articles. I had enquired twice before hand to ensure that the movers had experience in moving pianos and that I required it to be done with great care to protect the tuning etc, but it was simply bumped dowm the stairs and across the road as if it were a sofa etc, this was annoying and would be one reason I may be reluctant to recommend Conroys. I also asked since it was such a short move if Conroys would like to look at the proposed work first, but was told no. The guys turned up in a large truck which they didn't use and promptly said they wished they had bought a van instead as moving boxes and pot plants would have been much easier with that. The essence of employing someone to move your belongings is to find experienced people who will move things with care, otherwise we should just find 'anyone' to do it. I feel Conroys did not provide the care I expected considering the effort I had made to contact them ahead of time.

Overall I was happy with the move but disappointed as I specifically requested that my TV was boxed and it was confirmed by your staff that it would be. However, on the day they said they did not have a box and it was only wrapped in a blanket. Secondly, when your staff arrived to pick up, one of them immediately made a dash for the bathroom, without even asking - quite rude I thought.

"The service was great"
The service was great the guys looked after us well, just disappointed it took almost 12 weeks for my shipment of household items and clothing that we really needed if not for that i would be your greatest fan...
"4 hours later than the estimate"
4 hours later than the estimate for pickup, and 4 hours later than the estimate for dropoff. All of these hours were spent needlessly waiting at the removal location. I realise an exact time estimate is not realistic but I'd expect something closer to +/- 1 hour.
The actual moving part of the Conroy service was very good, the waiting was not.
"waited and waited"
The service was excellent up to the day of delivery. When they said we will be delivering at 7.30 am in the morning, and I waited and waited, by this time it was 11.15 and I had to go out, so I rang ,no reply ,so I left a message, again when I got home, rang and left a message, and rang again about 4.30 and still no reply. 3 times no one came back to me, which I thought this was disgusting,bad customer service. Eventually it came ,and the delivery guy was very nice and said he was sorry for the mis-understanding, but ,it would have still been nice to have put me in the picture to say they was going to be late. Other wise it was excellent service and you kept well informed with my goods from England to New Zealand. Thank you

Staff were very obliging and efficient, hard working and thorough, did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it. Half the goods went into Conroy's store, the balance to our temporary accomodation in Masterton. With the latter half it's disappointing to find that the dining table and a large leather recliner armchair both suffered substantial damage.
Communication was good but one of the Packers 'Lugs' seemed to have a bit of a chip on his shoulders and wasn't very responsive or interested in our needs. For instance he wanted to start packing the kitchen at the end of the first day packing and got shirty with us when we asked if this could be delayed. There was also an issue about finalising the packing on the Friday to which he appeared disinterested. I had to contact the bosses myself to get it sorted. Shame as all the other lads in both wellington and Auckland were as good as gold.
