"This time around, not so good"
We have used Conroy's before, and all was good which is why I decided to use you again.
This time around, not so good and I'd probably not use you again.
Sending only two men to unpack was wrong. Although the original pack was more complicated because of the location, 7 men were involved in thel packing up. I was happy to help unpack, but if I hadn't I'm not sure how late into the night they would have to have worked.
When the van arrived for the drop off it was full of polystyrene balls - a bean bag from an earlier drop off had busrt. These balls all ended up on the kerbside and street front of our house - not great for us to clean yup, or for the planet as many ended up blowing away.
The final bit of packing looks like itr was done in a rush as there were boxes crushed under a couch - luckily the contents weren't damaged as they had clothes in. There was however other damage, and this was all to the stuff loaded last - bed / headboard / bedside table, garden pot.
On a positive note teh people doing teh work were all pleasant and hard working.

The uplift from Brisbane was great and was arranged not long after I contacted Conrol Removals to arrange the removal service. The shipping to Auckland also happend within the timeframe that I was given and I was kept updated on its progress through to its arrival in Auckland. Unfortunately I had to chase up Conroy Removals on a number of occasions to arrange delivery to my destination approximately 150km north of Auckland once I was ready to receive it. The office staff were quite responsive to emails and phone calls but it took a number of attempts to get the operations team to contact me to arrange delivery. The delivery went well after it was finally arranged.
"price is unbeatable"
Hi there. This is the 2nd time in approximately 2years that we've used your services. We appreicate your services as the price is unbeatable and the ease of booking with Sue Callingham is next to none. However this time we found that your staff weren't as "fit" as they could've been! They struggled to move our furniture upstairs and tired easily. When they became fatigued they dropped and damaged a couple of things. This is fine, as it was my choice not to get out the extra insurance for damage, but I thought you may like to know this. We do still however appreciate the service that was provided. Many thanks.
"packers and removalists were very slow"
The friendliness of the staff was apparent. Also, we found your company obliging when we had to postpone the removal due to house build, delays. For this we were thankful.
However, we thought the packers and removalists were very slow. We ended have to spend too much time waiting around when we had so many other things to do. This was very frustrating and stressful for us on the day. There were two structural damages to our old property and one piece of desk furniture is now completely unusable due to what we considered to be carelessness by the removalists. The apology seemed to lack sincerity and this was hurtful considering the item had sentimental value to us.
For these reasons, while we have always used and recommended your company in the past, we would not do so in the future
"lack of one to one contact irritating"
I found the lack of one to one contact irritating. I'm not sure how many times I had to complete varying forms. While you are reducing internal costs don't forget the power of personal contact. I was dealing with a young woman at your end and asked her to call me. Contact continued directly via email however a quick phone conversation would have been reassuring. Not once did she call me. I also needed a response to an email sent at Easter which took a phone call to Steve in Napier who was very helpful. The defence from the same young woman was that it took her 3 hours to read her emails on the Tuesday after Easter. Customer service is so important. Strangely the packers and did not pack a number of items and had truck had to come back to collect them. It makes me nervous as to whether I will see those items again. Overall the team that came to the house were on time and were friendly. Some processes were very good. Interesting I've asked for a response and you ask for an email address. Where a quick call would be much appreciated.

Thank you to the two wonderful ladies I spoke with, one in napier and the other in Wellington. The dispatch manager in Wellington was rude and dismissive on the phone. My belongings were finally dropped off at 7pm when he said that they would be here at sometime in the morning. The guys who dropped my stuff off were lovely and helpful. It's a shame the first truck driver opted out of letting anyone know he had taken my belongings back to the depot. Other than the dispatch manager and the first truck driver the service was great.
"I was impressed with the "coal face" crew"
I was disappointed with the office administration and the logistical organisation (timing/efficieny) of arranging my move. However I was impressed with the "coal face" crew, the actual movers themselves. They took good care of my property, at both pick up and drop off. It is for this reason only that i would use your company again.

There seems to be a lack of communication between to staff booking the jobs and those carrying out the jobs. The first truck arrived at 9am but no tools, bubble or export wrap, which were all required to pack my things. At the delivery end, again the truck arrived with no tools to assemble the furniture that needed assembling.
Also one incident of poor placement of a fragile item in the container. Two glass shelves were placed on top of a surface that was not flat and something heavy placed on top of them, so now the shelves are smashed.
Customer service at the front end was very good. Hannah listened to all my concerns and offered solutions for packing. She also offered advice on what would be difficult to pack in the container and how best to pack it.
"much consternation"
It was incredibly difficult to get timely responses to questions and status updates. No one would give me a direct phone number to converse in real time with a real person. I left voicemail messages that were never returned. To top things off when delivery was finally made there was much consternation about your contractual obligations and then one of your employees broke one of my mirror stands on one of my antique dressers. To date I have heard nothing regarding how you plan to repair or pay for repairs to the stand. I suspect I will have to file an insurance claim despite the fact you should pay for the damage.
"Few items were missing"
Few items were missing and almost all broken and damaged , no response or apologies from company regarding this .
I did leave toward the end of the pickup and the packers locked the house when they had finished. I returned to do the final clean, there were panels of glass for a table still in one of the rooms. They had a tag on them, yet no one mentioned them on delivery. When the initial quote was done and things itemised, the park bench was included, however not delivered. Two pot plants are missing also. Communication was confusing with different days on delivery given, however Gary I assumed from Whangarei was excellent in his communication and getting the delivery to me on the quoted day.
