"Good, but not outstanding service"
Good, but not outstanding service. I have experienced better in a previous move to Auckland with another company.
This time I felt lacked a little attention to the details, and an attitude of care and commitment to doing a great job that I'd experienced with other company.
Lack of Communication on Delivery
I arranged my shipment from the UK to NZ with Crown Relocations, UK. They later told me that Robinson's Relocation would be dealing with my shipment. At no time did I hear from Robinson's. I then began to receive e-mails from Conroy. These e-mails were informative and there were quick replies to my queeries.
I paid for a quarantine inspection as soon as I was advised that this was required, but I didn't see any evidence of this inspection when my shipment arrived.
A week after my shipment was completely cleared I had heard nothing about my delivery date so emailed Conroy Auckland (who I had been dealing with up until then). They e-mailed Conroy Nelson. I did not get a reply so phoned Conroy Nelson, but there was no reply. So I went to the office and spoke to a lady there. She eventually found out that my shipment was due into Nelson that day but the truck driver had already stopped at a motel for the night. Prior to that I didn't even know that my shipment had left Auckland.
I was told that the truck would be unloaded at 7am the next day so my delivery would be later that day. The lady called me at 8.30am to tell me that my delivery would be that afternoon and she would call me later.
I heard nothing by 3pm so called Conroy Nelson. There was no answer, so I left a message.
I heard nothing back by 3.30pm so called again. There was still no answer, so I left another message.
At 4pm, as I had still not heard from Conroy Nelson I phoned Conroy Auckland. It was a Friday and I wondered if deliveries would stop for the weekend at 5pm that day.
I then heard from Conroy Nelson. My shipment would be delivered after one other shipment due to be delivered shortly. Then I got a call that my shipment would be the first of these two shipments to be delivered.
My shipment finally arrived after 5pm after I had been waiting in all afternoon for the delivery.
The delivery driver was very good and very helpful despite him not being aware, initially, that he was booked to unpack my shipment, despite me telling the lady at Conroy Nelson and it being specified in the papwework that I completed with Crown Relocations UK.
All in all, appalling lack of communication from Cronroy Nelson. Also, as Crown Relocations UK did not pack my items properly, some of my shipment was smashed. So not a good experience.

I would like to speak to management about my experience with the two men who undertook my removal: Robin and Michael. I was appalled at the way Michael spoke to Robin and the things he said to him. At first I thought it was a joke, and I tried to lighten up the conversation, but over the 2 days I witnessed what I can only describe as bullying and demeaning behaviour by one employee towards another. In the end I spent as little time as I could at my house because I felt so uncomfortable. I was going to email management to lay a formal complaint, and I hope my concerns can be picked up and acted on through this feedback process. Thank you.
"friendly and helpful"
Unfortunately the first lot in a 40ft container with our car suffered some damage. When the container arrived in Dunedin the container had already been damaged. It had a hole in it and some of the contents were also damaged, some broken items and some water damaged. It should have been photographed immediately and also the contents upon opening the container. This would have made an insurance claim much easier! Otherwisw, all the staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. The excess which came in a shared container was all OK Because of the first shipment damage I am reluctant to recommend your services.
"happy with the out come"
services was amazing when people picked up furnetire from my house and really amazing when they dropped it off to my new address. Other then that i had trouble getting a hold off them and was told my stuff would be there the day after but wasnt there till 6 days later. But i was still happy with the out come.

The sales lady was really helpful, the office staff where great. On the day the team of guys where very friendly and worked fast.
We are very disappointed with the amount of damage to furniture, the wall in the old house in the bedroom was damaged. they wheeled a muddy trolley through the flat and we had to scrub carpets before the new owners moved in. I can send photos of the furniture if required.
"The guys were quite rough"
The guys were quite rough. Just went to our a few leftover pieces into storage unit and struggled to open the door then when opened everything has just been jammed in and squashed with no sense of a plan. Very disappointed.
Things broken
I sent 2 boxes overseas. Both had breakable things inside and you were told to keep them upright. You packed them both into 1 box which is fine but you put one box on its side. So as a result things have been broken.

I've already received an initial contact about an as-yet unresolved item of damage to the house was returning to, but there are at least two other issues (missing castor wheel & damaged shelving) I'd aslo like to talk about.
"deep disatsfaction"
The low rating reflects our deep disatsfaction with your operations department. Our move was planned for a 9.00am start. This was confirmed to us by phone the day earlier. When your team did not arrive by 9.30am I phoned to enquire of your wearabouts and were advised that they would be then by 10.00am. Phoned again at 10.30am and were advised the team would be there at approx 11.00am, which happenned. The removal team apologised for the delay. The delay was poor as it required us to clear and clean the exiting property the following day.
We have no criticism regarding your removal team. They were very good. However the operation control was unacceptable as they did not have the courtesy to advise that they had placed a new job ahead of ours.
This was the third time we have used Conroys and the experience has left us with a sour taste and tainted the previous good work.

Nice and cheap, unfortunately some items were damaged beyond repair. Luckily not any thing overly expensive. Drivers were on time and friendly.
