"not care about our stuff"
Hi,
Me and my partner got our furniture picked up from my mums address in Palmerston North and delivered to our new address in Christchurch. We have moved this furniture on 2 other occasions with insurance, but this time because we didnt have the money we decided to not get insurance because it had be fine on all the other occasions.
When our furniture arrived, my partners rimu drawers were in pieces, we are missing the lock nuts from our glass coffee table that didn't get put back when the movers moved our stuff, and also our TV cabinet is literally in pieces and snapped in half (this thing is pretty solid, so somewhere in transit to Christchurch it has either been dropped or someone has stood on it and completly naffed it beyond repair).
I have rung conroys but I have not had a phone call back yet.... still waiting. Since every other time our stuff has been moved (with insurance) and has arrived fine, it honestly feels like since we did not have insurance this time, you guys did not care about our stuff since it came back in such bad condition.

"had to take another morning off work"
The first day of delivery, I'd taken the morning off work to facilitate the arrivcal of my goods. They guys start unloading and storing into my house until I noticed they wereen't the same boxes as mine. A closer inspection revealed that it wasn't my name on the consignment. The guys apologised and came back again with the correct goods the next day, but, I had to take another morning off work to facilitate their gaff. Not the two sharpest knives in the drawer thats for sure.
"The guys were lovely"
The guys were lovely but I think the younger one might need a bit of fitness training and he needs to learn how to put boxes down on their bottoms instead of on the side. I think he might have been a bit tired. Don't be hard on him, he just needs to learn a bit of work ethic. Towards the last hour, he was on his phone a few times texting and talking to somebody. Admittedly this was while he was waiting for some items to be passed to him but it's never a good look to be on your phone when you're at work. Also, they broke some spouting on the house I was moving out of when they were moving one of the beds out.
Aside from that, I think they did a great job considering the horrible weather. It was freezing and wet and I appreciate how hard that job is on their bodies.
"The truck used must have a leak"
The truck used must have a leak as lot of our things got wet. Our mattress was saturated it must have been sitting in a pool of water overnight so we were unable to sleep on it the first night in our new house.
"the 3 guys were fabulous"
the 3 guys were fabulous - quick carefull, happy efficient - brilliant . However I arranged for a 9.30 arrival for the truck and had the apartment ready for this - the lift booked and my helpers ready to go. At 11am I phoned Conroys and they didnt have a clue they were doing this job . They said they would have it delivered at 2pm and at three oclock they arrived. i cannot fault the 3 men who did the job but the lateness and lack of knowledge about the booking was appalling and put many people out.

I am in two minds whether or not I would use your services again because we have had so much damage overall and now have to make a claim . I understand that I need a form from you for that. Please can you forward that to me . Thanks John
"Not happy"
Not happy with Conroy. They were late and then rushed the offloading. No time for us to check everything we wanted to because they rushed to another job. Pity, because the pre-offloading correspondence came across as helpful and professional. We are dissapointed.

"Disappointed"
Disappointed the container was packed in so tight with not much wrapping around furniture. Some furniture had huge gouges out of the furniture because of this. A larger removal truck would have been much better. Also 2 pieces of shelving missing.

"disapointed with the move"
We were disapointed with the move ,being a 3 storie house there was to be 3-4 men, only 2 arrived so myself and 1 lady had to help moving beding down 3 stories is no joke.At 3-30 the new owner arrived and was upset because we still there and contacted his lawyer and only then did you send 2 more men..On unloading we found that the TV ,Rimu Desk,and Oak Desk was damaged, TV had to be replaced. We are not very happy it all come down to lack of man power.
Unfortunately the experience with Conroy removals was not a good one. We got two quotes, one was cheaper than Conroys but we decided to go with Conroys because they were a long established company and should be the best. Wrong. The packers were on time, the removal truck was 40 minutes late (no phone to call to say they would be late), the guy that cane to do the quote, the packers and the movers were all told to leave the washing machine and dryer in place but they took them anyway. Conroys were phoned immediately to return the washing machine and dryer, this took two days and when the men turned up to reinstall the appliances they DIDNT BRING ANY TOOLS to do the job properly. Ggrrrhhhh!
My furniture is in storage and I just hope nothing is broken because Conroys had to empty the container to get the washing machine and dryer out.
