Could have taken more time and care
I noticed the coffee table is damaged in one corner. My furniture was in perfect, unmarked condition before they started. I chose to not insure and expected a little damage. The guys were carrying my furniture downstairs solo - I thought that was unusual considering health and safety. The shift took alittle over 2 hours but you are charged 3 hours minimum. The 2 guys had plenty of time to move furniture safely without damaging but chose to take shortcuts.

It took 3.5hrs to move major house items (no personal items or boxes) within Welcome Bay. This is how long it took another company to move and entire storage container of all our belongings from the Mt to Welcome Bay. The guys were nice but clearly inexperienced. Jorge was going to drag furniture before Justice corrected him. They were quite slow. No problem I guess, BUT then we're charged an extra $70 because they took an extra half an hour??? No idea what that means! My husband was here when they told him and didn't understand (I had organized it). I didn't book for a certain time limit so no idea what this was about. Invoice was handwritten with no details, and missing page 1/3, so also had no bank details. I've sent an email querying this so hopefully it's rectified.

Good apart from fact I had to chase up what was happening on day they were delivering the boxes. Had expected a phone call in the morning of delivery of an eta.

Generally the packers did well but disappointed that boxes were not clearly enough labelled. One person complained that he had been there 19 years and only earned $20/he. We were not surprised as he spent more time talking and smoking. Some items were damaged when he packed such as lamp shade frames bent. The other men were courteous, polite, worked well and professional.
Due to settlement not being completed until nearly 4p.m. we were very grateful that the men stayed to unload but unfortunately for us they had little time and all boxes were dumped in the garage and conservatory for us to unpack. That was at our agreement but we are still at a loss of where things are due to labelling. Still not found the food and TV remote controls have gone astray. But we will get there.
The price was better than NZ Vanlines who we have used twice previously but had better experience.
Thanks very much for helping us move. We could it have done it without you.

Good But Delivery Delayed
First of all our pickup from Australia was good the guys were friendly, then we had to pay for the service before we even left Australia and had to borrow the money. I was told initially that our gear would not be leaving until 1 August (pickup was 10 July ) so we said OK and we would get it no later than 18 August.We moved of course thinking that we would have it in about two weeks after that. Then we got an email to say it was leaving on the 8th August, and arriving in Auckland on the 15th. We received no explanation as to why it was a week late leaving Melbourne. Then I was ringing up at least every week to see where it was, and it was an extra 2 days late, arriving on 17th August. I had to send an email first to ask if we could have it before the 31st as we have visitors arriving and they can't sleep on the floor, if I had not asked about this we probably wouldn't have received it until 31st, which would have been 10 days after arrival. We would like to know why it left a week later from Australia, and why it takes 7 to 10 days to Deliver it when it was customs and quarantine cleared before it arrived. The guys were delivered it were very good and friendly

Third Time Customer
This is the third timeWe have used this company .most of the time they have been pretty good but this time we felt that they were abit rough in the way that they handled our furniture and packed goods
Communication was good on email about delivery of piano after arrival in NZ but then a series of events meant the delivery was delayed due firstly to truck breakdown,which was understandable but then piano was delivered to wrong address and Conroys could not get it back for another week and a half. How did the wrong piano get delivered and accepted by the clients at the wrong address. This was stressful as the piano is of irreplaceable sentimental value. The delivery men were very grumpy and hardly spoke to us and looked at us as if delivering the piano was a burden.
