Was not happy with the girl in office in Napier i think her name was Kylie, very unprofessional and just didnt want to deal with her anymore, so i phoned a guy named Steve in Tauranga and it was all sorted.
On the moving day everything was great, and professional and i was more than happy.

"I feel you did not complete the job"
Initially I was very happy with the service. Sadly in the end the company let itself down in not collecting the boxes which I was led to believe they did. This became very stressful for me in that I was painting some rooms and my garage was full of furniture. I did not have room for boxes ( dont forget the paper).
Over 5 days this is the reponse I got from my 3 phone calls ( 1 to Napier) * when the truck is in my area they will be collected. * they will be collected the next day. * firmly told to keep the boxes dry as rain was due. * they would be collected when a truck was in my area. * finally I was told I could "burn" the boxes as it was not viable to pick them up.
This was hugely stressful for me. I am 73 years old, live on my own, do not have a trailer or a suitable car to transport 90+- boxes ( dont forget the paper) to the recycling.
I will not be recommending Conroy Removals to my family and friends. In future if I see a Conroy Removal Van I will always wonder how they coped with their 90+- boxes. (P.S. dont forget the paper).
I was very disappointed in how it turned out because it started off so well. Your packers were excellent led by Cain. It was nice that I saw Cain again when the boxes were delivered. I was impressed that Cain went to the neighbours to apologize for any inconvenience as the truck was parked in a right of way.
I am sorry I cannot give you 5 stars because the handling of the boxes let you down in a big way. I feel you did not complete the job.

Communication with the person handling my move was frustrating. I received one-line emails with information on where my shipment was at, but it was next to impossible to try and get anything further out of them, such as projected timeframes, etc. They seemed to be lacking in the empathy department, and were only interested in letting me know the bare minimum before moving on. Moving is stressful - your customer liaison people should have an understanding of this. On the bright side, the team that unpacked my goods were great - polite and helpful.
Staff need further training
Not impressed. Lads worked fairly hard but dont know how to pack or carry antique furniture.Had to ask them to cover a table left in the rain outside the van. On first removal 2 guys worked hard another seemed to be watching and smoking ( after rhe coffee break we gave them). Spent a long time trying to get a table in different ways without success so no good visual skills in assessing size etc. My heart break was a guy lifting and dropping my favourite piece of valuable antique table on the floor of the van attached to rhe side splintering and breaking a leg. This should never have been attempted single handedly when we had employed 3 men. It was a very stupid thing to attempt and in my opinion cannot be classified as an accident, but negligence. After rhat he was ceffensive and surly, another piece was moved carelessly,a door crashed open and chip was made. They then decided to sign off and left 2 kauri antique drawers outside in rhe rain and a clothes dryer which I luckily found an hour later.A scratch was also made on the vinyl floor. They worked hard but lacked some essential handling skills.
Issues at the HB branch
The Wellington team were excellent, they worked very effectively and efficiently and were obliging in where they placed the items, They also reassembled the beds for us, which was much appreciated.
The HB team were let down by one person, who appeared to be in charge. He spent a lot of time talking on his cell phone, you should ask to see his call log for Wednesday and you will see how much time. He was also lazy and actually only packed the kitchen in the whole day and the other two did everything else. These two worked consistently but also used their cell phones frequently for checking and sending texts. By contrast with the Wellington team where none had a cell phone out during the time they were with us.
There was some minor damage to furniture as this was not protected adequately.
Because of the above issues, I would be happy to use Wellington again but would not recommend HB.
We got there in the end
Our biggest problem was being unable to contact anyone to find out what had happened to our delivery. The man who picked up from Tauranga was great - very polite and helpful. We weren't told when the shipment was leaving storage despite us asking to be notified. I tried to ring for a whole day and got no reply from the 0800 number or the local office. Then we were told the delivery would be Wednesday, but later found out that the driver "forgot to put our shipment on the truck". My grandson was expecting the shipment and had arranged time off work. I rang and spoke to Mark (?) in Christchurch and he couldn't have been more helpful. He rearranged his deliveries to get the gear down on Thursday and it was delivered on Friday morning. To summarise - each end was great, but the bits in the middle let you down badly. (PS Craig, the driver from Christchurch to Invercargill was very helpful and stayed in touch with me as my grandson was unable to take calls at the time.)
2/3 were great
One of three Auckland loaders was hopeless and dropped stereo gear all others there and Christchurch were very good. One guys can lower the service even when others are good.

The service was excellent as far as the organisation which could not be faulted but with the packing found an antique cup in with other kitchen goods (broken) a valuable mirror with an occasional table in with it so of course the mirror broken. So did not feel they made a good job as have had to hunt through boxes just to find one thing which was not with the rest of a dinner set. Still have not found our telephones. But in all other areas found the service excellent.
"we are very grateful as things ended on a good note"
There was a lot of misunderstanding at the pre-pack as to who was supposed to do what. We were told we only had to pack our wardrobes and bathrooms. We volunteered to pack our art work rooms. We were then told we had to pack all our books and the laundry (which we did), but it was unpleasant while that was worked through.
We were also shocked to receive an invoice for pakaging materials for the cartons we collected to pack what we had been told to pack and that the materials would be available. We were told this was human error - but we collected cartons 3 times from the depot in Napier.
Moving house is as we all know a very stressful business and your company has been in this business a very long time - I would have thought that these things would have long been ironed out.
Having said that, Paul and his dispatch and unpacking crew were amazing - they did everything in double quick time, at the end of what had been a long day for them, with amazingly good grace. For that we are very grateful as things ended on a good note.

the 2 men and the truck were 20 minutes late in the morning, however they were very efficient at loading the truck and did it in 2 hours then they went away and had smoko and completed another job. They returned after i rang and unloaded within an hour. I had booked them for 4 hours, the entire job took 3 hours and I was charged 5.5 hours even though they had left and were completing another job. The actual men were great and efficient and did an outstanding job, however the charging system is difficult to understand. I have queried this but have had no response. If the men had stayed and worked for me for the extra time I was charged for then fine but I wasn't given that as an option they left and did another job.
Packing the house was done very professionally. Off loading was ok at start then rushed. Outdoor furniture was just left in the middle of the grass not where it was asked to be left. Driver drove into my brick post box and smashed it. Still waiting to hear when conroys are going to fix it.
