Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersIts blasphemy to send crew to a moving job without drills and impact drivers (power tools). Also, there are several marks on the walls and ceiling from careless moving of goods.
I was not happy on the way the workers took my beds to the truck they did not use the access they passed it over the first floor rail to another person who was standing in the garden below.
Delivery was good but on my arrival my packaging had rips and holes.
Communications were reasonably good, in particular Susan, however a delivery was delayed several times, an item was missing on delivery and an insistance on a smaller delivery vehicle were all detranctions from the experience. Better communications between AGS and Conroy would be recommended.
The operations team were awesome. The Packers were quick but everything disappeared into boxes including my cleaning stuff and rubbish bags which I needed. The boxes are recycled which is great but labeling is confusing with old labels and new showing together. Also labeling could be a bit more specific to help finding things...kitchenware could also say crockery or pot or something. The booking process wasn't great. My understanding was we had pickup date and delivery all booked then sales got in touch telling me they'd changed delivery day for 3 days later. Very stressful and I actually had to contact ops directly to resolve it. Ops were super helpful but it was really stressful at an already stressful time. The guys who moved us were really helpful and considerate. There were additional guys sent to help them unload and they were keen to just dump boxes wherever and were not as considerate. The used boxes were collected quickly and the guy collecting was really pleasant and helpful.
Wasn't able to get an exact date for delivery even though i was advised my shipment was ready to be delivered.
i also found out later that my shipment had been inadvertently transferred to a different area of NZ. It took over a week after i was advised that the shipment was ready to find this out and i had to chase it up myself.
Customer service in new Zealand very helpful. However handle and delivery in Australia was not what we expected. A few boxes got damaged and were open with the potential lose of my stuff
First time I moved with Conroys was great but this time I was a little disappointed. I asked if it were possible to start my move at 10am as I needed to pick the keys up for the new property at 9am and I got a phone call the day before saying they would arrive at 8am, so I said I would try to arrange picking my keys up after work rather than the next day as planned. The next day came and no one showed up at 8am so after waiting half an hour I called them and they said that I asked for 10am because of the keys and that they are coming at 9am now instead even though we discussed the day beforehand that I would get my keys earlier. When the men arrived at the property they were suprised at how little there was to move and one said about taking their time as there was nothing else to do until their afternoon move apart from wash the truck at the yard and he needed the hours. Having already put my furniture in the garage ready to go and not having many items I thought it wouldn't take very long but ended up being 2 hours. I hired a moving company for the heavier items because I didn't want to have to lift it myself being a small female and was tired of shifting houses but seeing how slowly things were going I helped lift my items with one of the men to the truck while the other guy tied things in and at the new address helped lift all of the furniture off with one of the men while the other one untied things and waited in the truck and folded the blankets up. I was charged $305 to move my bed, couch, fridge, washing machine, dryer, 2 shelves, a desk, TV stand, coffee table, 2 bedside draws, some plastic containers with clothing, a few canvas pictures and 2 clotheshorses. Nothing needed to be stacked or arranged in the truck as there was such a small amount to move. The travel time between the addresses is 25 minutes in peak hour and it wasn't a busy time to be on the road. The guys were lovely and very chatty but it just took far too long for such a small amount of items. My first move with Conroys a year ago cost me $238 and that was a 2 bedroom house, with packed boxs, and alot of smaller items that all needed stacking to fit in the truck and I had 2 separate drop off locations. Very different experience this time and very expensive.
Removal guys were really good, unfortunately the truck couldn't get up the driveway so had to rely on a truck being brought in which took a long time so they took most of contents down to the garage to wait.Didn't help that it was terrible weather and the carpet was muddied when they came in, wasn't their fault but didn't help. The weather can't be controlled.
The service from admin side has been Excellant , we were kept upto date with every step We moved with Conroy to Australia and were very satisfied , the move back has not been as professional with the packing . We have so many broken or damaged items , The way they were wrapped was ridiculous . ( Example a light bulb loose inside a glass vase ) This move, the lack of care has left bedroom suite damaged , leather lounge damaged , ornaments broken , pot handle, china tea cups . I would've accepted some incidents to occur , I believe most of this damage could've been prevented .
Crew that collected and packed (Steve and Grace) were brilliant.
The crew that uplifted the initial load were brilliant.
THe two morons that collected the other items the following day were aweful. Having been told that 1 item, a glass topped table was fragile and had a GLASS top, immediatly broke it when loading it into the truck. Consequently table ruined, glass all over the driveway that was not picked up. Another item collected on the second uplift was a microwave cooker. I told the guys that it needed packing around it and the glass plate inside needed safety packing to ensure it didn't get broken. I'm afraid my advice fell on deaf ears because it was not packed with any protection.
When the second vehicle turned up to offload, the microwave was just literally thrown in the back of the truck on its back and damaged beyond repair. The glass plate inside the microwave was also shattered.
I am out of poket for 1 microwave cooker that i will need to replace and a glass topped coffee table that is now useless. Value of items damaged apx 500 dollars.
No problems with your crews apart from the two village idiots that collected the overspill with the small truck.
When the crew delivered the initial load they were not informed that there was a piano on board. Poor communication!!! My 6 foot 2 son assisted with this offload.
Great service however did get one rude person In Australia customer service that wasn't helpful and rude. Other than that happy and nothing broken
