Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersWe had been advised the truck would be at our house at 10am on the 4th March We had to ring a few times to see what was going on - truck eventually arrived at 1.30pm. Communication from HO would have been useful I am not allowed to drive at night hence our desire to get away by 2pm at latest to get to Taupo before dark.This did not happen unfortunately. We had to ask beighbour to lock up - the truck finally left at 4.45pm. The guys were great but if you cannot communicate with yr customers and keepthem informed then that is poor service.
Hi guys, I chose in reality based on price as you were the most affordable. However, in both the initial move & the move back to our home there were issues. In the initial move we were promised 2 packers, we did get 2 packers the first day but only 1 following that & there was a substantial amount of packing to be done, The girl who was left to do the packing on her own was doing so until the & while the movers were there. This meant a lot of our stuff was not well packed & there were damages. We ended up having your entire fleet at the end of a very long week moving us & in the haste things were damaged. I was promised packers this last time & we had 2 very hard working men turn up, but they ran out of paper to pack so left, telling me one of them would be back in the morning to complete the packing of my kitchen. They did not return & I was lft to pack my kitchen up, that was 2 hours of my time-not good enough when I have paid your service to do this job. Your movers work very hard but at times are rough, which is why we have damages, these were not always reported to us, which made it feel either sneaky or just careless. I will not be putting in an insurance claim, but I could have. I found this to be an exhausting process when it should not have been.
I wasn't provided enough boxes to pack self, no TV boxes were available, eventually on move day 1 TV box was sourced after a phone call to Conroys for 4 TVs. No bed wraps were ever provided. My beds would have been filthy if I hadn't sourced some wraps myself from my work which meant travel for me and shouting work morning tea.
Not really appropriate for the price I paid for this move.
The packers and loaders worked their butts off to complete our move. It was very unfortunate that whoever estimated the size of job and the time it would take to do it, greatly underestimated the task. It was a full large household pack. The first day one packer came instead of two because of sickness. The second day, three were sent for the morning with a fourth arriving in the afternoon after our chief packer basically begged for more help. With the help of the homeowner and adult son both packing and loading, the job was finally finished at 7.20 pm after a start time of 7.50 am. Despite knowing we had 48cubic metres, a truck capable of taking 40 c m was sent. The despatcher had said the truck could make two trips - not feasible when it took about 4 hours to load and 4 to unload. The chief packer finallly got another smaller truck sent. A 3rd truck was sent for the driver to help also. Because it was so late in the day when the loading was completed, our loads could not be delivered until the next morning. Just as well we had another place to sleep and a suitcase of clothes etc to cover us for the first night.
We have said we would use Conroys again and recommend them but that is only because their staff went above and beyond what they had to do. In our opinion, the estimator caused us a lot of grief and anxiety on what was already going to be a stressful time.
The movers were very friendly and helpful, customer service reprepresentativery replies fast and efficiently. But the only things that was not met was the size of the truck that we requested. We requested for a small one sending pictures why we need a small truck but still a big one arrived. When we arrived at the destination, the truck didn't fit and needed to getga smaller one (that was able to hold all our belongings) but of course the time is ticking and was charged to us. When I pointed this out to the customer reprepresentat they said that the pictures provided was not sufficient. Even though we highighted numerous times that we needed a small truck and one is available as well. All that been said everything else is in order so we would recommend them for big moving jobs
I am pleased with the goods that arrived last Friday. However the items that were left behind, garden hose, sprinkler and wooden carry box have not arrived as promised. I called the day after they had loaded so I would presume they will be here in a day or 2. Perhaps they are still on their way but I'm concerned that they have been forgotten about as I have had no contact regarding their delivery. Please advise.
I was not happy with our movers, one in particular made the comment "if it doesn't fit force it" which I found completely unacceptable especially after him telling me that he won't cover certain cupboards because they always break.
The delivery guys were not great as they really couple not be bothered and had massive attitude. Using my balcony rail to vault between the house and van was wrong. Not knowing if they should be unpacking or not and asking me to call their office rather than them finding out was bad. Took a long time to collect boxes. Office staff very friendly and helpful, just execution of delivery poor.
Pleasant & quick service. More care needed when stowing at storage facility eg heavy items ontop of flimsy furniture. Otherwise fine.

I ordered boxes to be delivered before removal day and had to chase for them. Also the switch on a standard lamp was broken off so we need to buy another. Please call me to discuss.

A number of household items were damaged due to poor packing and unloading. Water cooler was bent, divan draw was broken when bed was being unloaded and small miscellaneous items were also damaged.
Bad quality boxes, 3 packers, one not experienced, one who should actualy in acc, had a very bad leg and back, were arguing about everything and on the third day one was even send home... The packing job should be finished on Friday in the house and on Saterday they should pack in the packhouse, but they were not finished at all on Friday, so we had to move the rest of the items (sofa, outdoor furniture etc) unwrapped to the packhouse ourself! They took long breaks and every hour an sigaret break. My husband had been calling Nathan so often, it was the worst moving experience we have had. ( we have moved 6 times, but this was really not recommendable to anyone) The team on Monday who loaded the container did a very good job. In South Africa the removal company sended people who had no experience at all, they had to Unload the household into 2 garage boxes, they left open spaces everywhere, no stacking experience, boxes with glassware or fragile stuff are on the bottom and heavy boxes with books are on top, different sizes boxes on top of each other, the boxes are falling apart under the pressure. Fragile thiins where thrown on top of machinery etc. The antique cabinet has been lying on his back, on his side and upside down before they put it the right way in the garage. Moving is a very stressfull proces for the people who are leaving the country, we rely on the moving company that the job is done on time and without complications with work employers.
