Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersAs already mentioned to Nathan, the two people packing were lovely, but one left the house within an hour and a half and was gone half an hour. They were both on their phones constantly, and little was packed in the morning, since it was only a 1 bedroom home, they had to start to hurry in the afternoon. Lack of communication with the truck coming - 2pm, 3pm, 4pm. then I called and was told I did not have to wait and be there. I left with instructions to lock up when finished. I Called Nathan about 6pm to see how the move was going, he knew nothing but called me back to say they had been and the house was closed and secured. When I turned up to clean, I discovered a hole in the bedroom wall - done by the movers. I was not happy as this would now impact my bond and make it difficult for the next tenants moving in! Not only that, but a couple of branches on the front lawn off the tree - one very large branch. No communication at all - I have used conroys in the past, and they have been excellent. If I had not used them before, i would certainly not be recommending them, but I know they can do better than this.
Your 'coal face' staff [loaders, drivers and offsiders] were brilliant.Your back of house administtative team were woeful. Communication was hopeless and unfortunately to get satisfactory information I had to call senior staff for answers.
a/ moving piano: movers didn't know exactly what to do. I lend them a screw driver!
b/ They didn't want moving parts from church to the container. "Wasn't what they had to do". This was the job on a hourly rate.
Being more punctual. Packers were 90 mins late to our place and also late to drop off so we ended up doing a lot of waiting around.
Hi. I would like to acknowledge that Nathan Furlong made th entire process easy from quoting thru to payment and we thank you for that. Our dates for availability were also greatly responded to as well as being able to meet our time restraints for the delivery time. Our driver/delivery guy was efficient. Our only problem was that he did leave some dirty hand marks on our freshly painted walls of a brand new build and we did have to ask that he not take things that were clearly oversized thru the front door but to use the doors that were bigger as this did scrape a few things against the front door and frame.
My biggest annoyance was my move manager and her communication from the office or rather lack of. I filled in forms and insurance forms and sent these back, we hen paid for and received an onvoice for all this. Then I startied getting emails from her regarding forms we havent filled out however any links were not allowing me to do anything further. I also asked her to ring me regarding this matter to clear it up so that the move went smoothly. She ignored this request and proceeded to email again asking for the same info again, repeat previous experience- not allowing me to do anything. This was on the saturday after I had asked her to ring rather than email as I didn't have access 24hours to my emails at the time. I then see the email on the Sunday, knowing our items had already been lifted from Napier on the Saturday morning. Unfortunately this did cause a bit of panic about what may or may not be happening with our items being that we were receiving them on the Monday morning. Not a fun moment on a Sunday night unable to do anything about it! The part that annoyed me the most was that she didn't bother ringing me just ignored the email request and went on ermailing me and being that I received these after hours how am I supposed to respond. I had sent thru all information that had been requested of us. All was delivered in the end just fine so her request for these forms were either found or not needed after all, but again cleared up with an easy phone call. UNfortunately people send emails and then they believe the problem is partly fixed becasue they have done what they feel is their part putting the onus back onto me when in fact it's easier to make a phone call, have a direct conversation clear things up and get on with it..
It wasn't a difficult move all items were brand new, still in boxes and wrapping etc
We would use the services again should the need arise and hope for better communication
The movers did a great job. The only issue was lack of communication. I always needed to call to get confirmation on dates and times.
Communication: Wellington branch did not get our container on rail in time to meet our edlivery date, and did not communicate this change to us. We had to call to check to discover this. Delivery: Delayed as foregoing comment - also meant an extra day in motel for us. Administration: Same comment as for communication - note that Christchurch branch were spot-on in keeping us advised and meeting their undertakings.
I haven't unpacked yet but the customer service and the team that helped upload at my new home have been amazing. Very kind, efficient, polite and professional. I did have a few queries on the invoicing as i wasn't getting automated email and i was sent two invoices in error for incorrect amounts however so easily resolved with a call. Pleasant to deal with.
The service was excellent the team arrived on time and packed the goods well
Where the service is disappointing was there was no notification the goods arrived in Auckland safely
we eventually found out the goods did arrive at their destination OK
Really bad comminication, no call back when call back requested, different offices don't seem to communicate with each other.
We were relatively happy with the Conroys team. Unfortunately a number of our larger items were damaged in transit due to not being packed into the truck properly or not being protected properly. The packing of our goods was a bit random. Some items were so well wrapped it wasn't funny and other things were just thrown into a box with out any paper at all. The clothes in our wardrobe were just rolled up and put into cartons rather than a mobile wardrobe meaning everything now needs to be re ironed. The staff were good to deal with though, friendly and professional, but the timings were not well discussed. We were told the truck would be at our house at 8am, then the day before they confirmed 10am and it finally arrived at 11.45am, meaning the guys were then in a massive hurry to get it loaded and away, which I suspect is part of the reason for the damage to our goods. The container was not big enough for all our stuff so some was loaded into a second container, then from there into another truck meaning double handling and more chance of damage. Then I had to chase up the second delivery as, again, they turned up hours late and we were not notified. We would probably look at using Conroy's again, but would make sure more care is taken and that we were kept up to date with timings etc. We have moved in the past with a different company and had trouble with damage with them as well, so we can only assume it is an industry wide problem.
