Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersThe administration side of the move was great; efficient and good communication. However I was disappointed with the care taken with our items on delivery. The ends of all matresses were filthy, indicating that they had not been wrapped, as promised in our contract, but stacked on the dirty floor of the truck. On delivery I observed one of our wooden dining chairs dropped causing a large chip and scratches. Next a concrete tile carried on a trolley tipped off and crashed into a rattan outdoor chair causing damage to this also. Both these happened simply out of lack of care.
We had a mixed experience overall. The team were all friendly and helpful, whilst clearly keen to get back to Auckland. Susan was wonderful in keeping us updated. It would have been great if our expectations were better managed regarding how the delivery would take place with our corresponding movers in S.A. It would also have been better if our items were taken to us more directly, as we are still waiting for one of our boxes to be delivered that seems to have misplaced in the process of all the unpacking and repacking of our items which we were originally told would be delivered directly to us. The operations side seems like it could have been smoother, and better managed although we did appreciate the communication, even though the plans were changed. Hopefully our missing box will still turn up soon. Thank you Conroy for all your kind efforts in aiming to make our move as stress free as possible.
I am still waiting for a reply regards the 1 door we took out from our original quote , I have emailed re this atleast 4 times and spine with Deborah and Rebecca by ph and they ard going to get back to me but still waiting
My biggest gripe was that I was not given an expected delivery date. When I rung to ask when my belongings would be arriving I was told by your office it would be "tomorrow afternoon" which I could not do due to work and as I had not been given any notice by Conroys to ensure I was available. There was also no specific time given, just told some time in the afternoon. Which I can understand to a degree, however, it is a window of approximately 5-6 hours which is difficult to plan around. A window of 1-2 hours would and should have been more realistic.I was told by a few people that the administration team is pretty average to deal with and I must say I agree with them. Dismissive tone on the phone, getting details wrong (such as me having to say twice to correct addresses), and then not providing details such as an expected delievery date.I then find out my belongings were shifted around about six times between deopts which seems ridiculous and evidence of a pretty disorganised company. I'm thankful I only had a few items to be shifted rather than an entire house or I imagine more stuff would have gone missing. On that note, thank you for finding my missing item and returining it to me.The guys who collected and dropped off my belongings were good to deal with and I appreciated their help.However, overall, I would not use your services again particularly with such poor communication shown by your team.
We have packed and moved with you many times. this would be our worst experience. I would use you again, but only because I know what service you are capable of giving. the lady who did our quote was very professional and prompt, no complaints at all. the packing guys were not very good, and I do have concerns about my valuables, but wont know the outcome of that till we unpack from storage. they forgot stuff, and just didnt seem very professional, although they were couteous at all times. On moving day, an very noisy arguement arose, in which I felt I had to say something as we had guests staying in the motel with children, and it was loud and un-neccessary.
Conroy were not aware that my cargo had arrived in Tauranga and already transported by train to Auckland (I was tracking the shipment on the internet). I had to contact Conroy, tell them the status and ask them to follow up. It took several days for Conroy to catch up and be up to speed. Only then I started to get updates, but not as frequent as I had hoped for. Delivery date was always elusive, but once confirmed they stuck to it. Delivery team were good and on time. Thanks guys.
The process of removal was fine I was very disappointed on delivery to find my expensive wooden and leather furniture covered in mould My outdoor table was also covered in mould which is not been able to be removed My fridges that I took particular care to make sure they were washed and completely dry before storage returned with mouldy interiors. The frame of my outdoor lounger is also broke All staff were polite and responsive to requests
I was really frustrated with the vague timeline provided. It was really hard to settle in a new location with no idea of when it was arriving.
So far minor damage and no breakages, but still unpacking.

Impossible to get through on phone regarding the timing of deiivery
Goods roughly treated at delivery - probably at least in part due to no lift/hoist on the truck
But maybe we would use Conroy again and maybe we would recommend Conroys to others - not sure
We found the team very slow, cant argue they were doing a good job at packing etc, but there was a lack of urgeny - 0ver 9 hours and the properties were only 7 minutes travel apart.
Considering we shifted the majority of cartoned product ourselves it would have been an even longer day had the truck been required to carry these as well.
We sensed that placing our furniture in the garage was the easy option rather than the house itself, but note that were working around carpet layers etc.so some extra distance walking product in was challenging, I believe our direction on what to do was clear.
