Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersDelightful lads that worked really hard to get us on the road asap, but numerous things scratched. Wooden coffee table, metal chairs,indoor & outdoor, several pieces of China broken. Black Mark's on several items.Just think more thought when it comes to stacking. Also management changed the arrival time only 1/2 hour before, which meant we were sitting waiting with food stuff out of fridge/freezer, unnecessarily.

No communication from the service coordinator about what was happening before due date, truck was over a hour late. (-1 star)
Guys that did the move were very professional and knew what they were doing. (4 stars)
Better customer service/ information required as things are booked in for a time by the coordinator, not the customer, and trucks have GPS. Quick phone call if the guys are going to be late.

Marcel here. For the overall experience, the cost was other-worldly. My mother insisted however, so we went with your company. Jeff did a good job, and the team tried their best, but weren't armed with a plan for how to get things out of the top story. I price things for a living, and $6.5k is just out of order. Various members of your team tried to help with what i can imagine was a difficult job from your perspective, but $3.5k should have seen you make a profit.
Nathan from the Napier branch was excellent to deal with. But the men that packed the truck - packed it with heavy items on top of carboard boxs which arrived at my new home squashed and some minor damages to items. The truck arrived a day late. A bag of dog food was split open throughout the truck,
We had also requested that our dining room table to be wrapped up, this wasn't done.
Once again Nathan was excellent to deal with, but the packers from the napier end were a joke.
they also told my wife while packing that we are being over charged.
This was the second time I have used Conroy for moving my belongings and organising the removal was pretty easy.
First time delivery was a good experience, just one broken swing seat. This trip there were a many damaged or squashed boxes and a few broken items. Pick up was an hour late and delivery was a day late, communication for pick up and delievery was slack.
I would have loved to thank the guys that picked up the items in terrible weather. I had a block of chocolate out for them but they left without saying goodbye or removing the strap they used to hold the door back. Both pick up and delivery staff were friendly.
The scheduler in Wellington messed up the pickup date and it was only sorted after I had called to enquire. Then the guys who did the pickup were unpleasant and more concerned about their NYE plans then the task at hand. They refused to take some boxes as they were marked fragile, even though I had purchased insurance. Now I have to make a trip down to get those two boxes personally. The issues were only with the Wellington dispatch and pickup crew however. The crew at the Auckland end were excellent. Hence the rating as a whole.

I was really happy with the part leading up to the move and also the delivery in Auckland.
I wasn`t overly happy with the removel in Dunedin for the following reasons:
- crew of 1 employee and 1 unexperienced contracter wasn`t sufficient to have it all done safely within a day. I ended up helping not only with all the heavy lifting but also shifting boxes all day.
- employee was very stuborn and not listening to advice. (when I told him a certain wardrobe didn`t fit through the staircase, he insisted on trying; when I told him one of the legs of the table wouldn`t come off, he insisted on trying, both waisting our energy and time. when I told him it would be easier to load everything from the top access as I had already put all the boxes there, he insisted on trying to park on the very steep bottom driveway, being unsuccessful trying and in the process damaging the fence.)
- contractor was clearly unexperienced. (when I told him to secure the drawers of a desk while he was carying it, he didn`t listen - when the desk fell over, drawers opened and got seriously damaged making the desk unusable)
- I saw both standing on boxes that clearly said `fragile` on them.
I understand having a big job so late in the year on the 30th of December is hard to organise and is no joy for any worker, but it ended up a full-on day of work for me and damaged goods and fence.
The rest of the process and administration has been great however.

There are still items not delivered that is outstanding but on your invoice you indicated that all 66 items was delivered. I phoned the office and they said they will come back to me as soon as possable. No feedback yet.
Please advise urgently.
The guys who packed our gear in Sydney were fantastic as were the team that unloaded in Auckland how ever locking down a delivery day seemed challenging with being promised a call back several times from the dispatch manager that never happened. Eventually one of the girls who answered the phone was able to help.
