Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersMy response to the previous two questions is actualy 'possibly' and not 'yes' - but thats not an option and they are required response questions. I was generally happy with the quoting and pick up process (certainly miuch better than the likes of FedEx etc). However, I'm yet to actually take delivery of my kayak, and the amount I've paid is has been something like a 30% increase on the original quote. Part of the increase is due to a payment to meet a cleaning requirement - something that could have easily been addressed at the time of pickup and packaging i would have thought.
So pleased you got my furniture to Wellington just before the lockdown - many thanks. A few marks on the chairs - so overal average service.
We would recommend Conroys NZ as they were very efficient with packing and uplifting our goods for shipping to Bundaberg in Australia.
Sadly, it’s been a week since we were advised our goods have been released from Customs and Quarantine in Brisbane, and we have yet to hear from your Australian arm any advice of a planned or even likely delivery date. Disappointing. Freight is regarded as an “essential service” in Australia.
Goods were uplifted on the 7th February so it’s now been almost 9 weeks. Incidentally, we were initially told this would be approx 6-8 weeks, as a lot of people were still shifting to Oz and Conroys had containers going most weekends.
Would be great to get some advice on delivery please.
Obviously we are in difficult times with fast paced changes taking place. However we only received the official email cancelling our removal service the afternoon before we were due to move. If we hadn't been proactive and contacted Conroys ourselves to understand the situation this would've been far too late.
Janelle in Melbourne was excellent and her customer service was great, also Sophie in Napier was very helpful. Customer service in Brisbane was nonexistent. Nobody came out to have a look so I got charged a extra $1800 and extra for a toolbox because of the weight which they damaged as well as our washing machine and other items. Being from Napier I supported a local firm but was a little disappointed
I was very disappointed with the way my items were delivered, they were dlivered in 3 trucks, 1 was so full they had to hold it in while they opened the doors and the other 2 were only about 1/4 full, There was quite a bit of breakage as they had other boxes on top of crockery, which was not packed properly in the first instance as they did not have enough peole to get the job done on the day. .
Firstly and most importantly Mitch and Jason that were onsite were fantastic.
They brought a bigger truck than what was expected so it would not fit up the drive in the new house.
We had to carry everything the 50m up the drive with myself assiting with my car and manpower.
Was expecting a bit more than I budgetted for as I loaded more on board. 1.5hrs to load 5 hours to unload...
I was not expecting the money for all 6.5 hours (including breaks) to be taken immediatly out of my bank account, especially a figure that I was not expecting.
This I felt was very poor, at least invoice the customer first and see if they are ok with it.
I disputed and David aggreed to reduce by 2 hours. This refund still took a further 2 days to go back into my account.
The packing and the move on the day was good. Although the large truck choice given our short sloping driveway meant delays and problems, I was impressed with the team and the way the handled the situation. Our main complaint was the spa pool which took an additional 11 days to get to us as the team didn't have the gear needed for it on the day. It was subcontracted and moved well in the end but the lack of communication to us was disappointing. Another thing to note is that our plates were individually wrapped but wrapped in piles of 4 and that resulted in some breakages. So overall a mixed experience with Conroy's. The team on the day were great.
The delivery guys were friendly enough, but not great. They basically did what they needed to, but not much more. And were not forthcoming at all with offering / being available to help additionally where required to make the process that much easier for us, the client. This was very frustrating. Especially seeing as the truck wouldn't start and they were forced to wait around for a mechanic to jump start the truck - so they had plenty of time to offer their help, but decided not to.
Expensive
The paper work nz side was a tad shabby the documents were not the right ones to complete the customs control in oz which was a pain in the butt and of corse an extra cost
