Very polite and respectful
During the initial set up over the phone, I just felt like my comments were not valued, even though I tried to explain clearly the level of service I required.
On the day, three men were assigned with a 40cube truck, which was overkill when two men and a smaller vehicle would have been adequate, but thankfully I was told it had no bearing on the service price.
The team that carried out the work were fantastic. Very polite and respectful. Loading took less than 20 minutes and unload was done within 30 minutes of arrival at destination. Many thanks to the team.

We were very disappointed in our removal on the 19 March. The two men were very friendly BUT unfortunately not overly careful with our property.
They arrived promptly at 8am as decided. Before leaving Sloane Place they had a smoke break at 9am, then another stop at 1025 and on arrival at the destination another 1/2 hour break. Our fridge has a dent on the front door, they broke a dining room chair, and scratched the wall putting the fridge into place in our new kitchen.
We don’t consider insurance necessary as we have used your company before and have been very happy with the service. Everything was packed ready for them to go and I would have thought three hours at a maximum would have been sufficient, along with the short distance drive to the destination.
Very disappointed in your service.

The service in Auckland was very poor, but the drop off in Tauranga was great.

Furniture was damaged, missing item, found rips on corners of mattresses. Looked like they gave no thought to other people's property and dragged them even though they were covered by plastic. As we thought they were a good company we didn't take insurance - more fool us. No care given.

The communications and forms needed was not clear. Conroy and the company in the US (who is who I hired) did not seem to be communicating.

The movers caused minor damage to the home we moved out of. A corner wall was hit by one of the trollies as furniture was being moved. At the new location, one of the movers hit a corner wall with one of the trollies. Luckily no damage was causde on this occassion.

Delivery guys were great, polite and delicate with our boxes. But now I am still waiting for the removal of the packaging and boxes. It's been nearly three weeks since I've requested this, and being told that they will call when they are in the area doesn't help when not everyone works from home and can be freely available. I would recommend operations team to be better with communication so that clients can arrange a suitable time for removal. And not wait endlessly for someone to call, as boxes do take up space, will get damp and gross if just left outside (what I was told to do if I wasn't happy to keep it in the garage).

Packers were very good, helpful and friendly. Delivery was ok but I thought valet packing meant unpacking and putting into cupboards or drawers but apparently it means unpacking onto a flat surface only. I am elderly and not in good health and didn't realize this so found it hard and tiring to put everything away in cupboards and drawers, especially in kitchen and with ornanments putting into display cabinets. This was not made clear to me when booking. Also unfortunately one piece of china that was sentimental to me as a wedding present from my grandparents was broken and it's a discontinued line so will be hard or impossible to replace.
Overall a good service. Arrived with everything except one item arriving safely from long journey around North Island.

Great guys. Working very hard.
A couple of complaints:
- Packers at departure end did not put the bed screws in an obvious place or together. They were randomly in the bottom of different boxes and rolling around in a drawer. It took a week of sleeping on the floor to find them all.
- Some things weren't wrapped at all and got damaged or completely broken: microwave, floor fan, wall clock, toastie maker, and scratched furniture.
- Other things wrapped carefully like Tupperware which wouldn't have broken.
- Guys at the destination end not able to assemble beds which was gutting.
- Difficult to get the invoice that we needed.
In saying this I would make sure next time I have the bed screws with me and I would use Conroys again for sure.
Christine and the crew who came and packed for us were great. However movers had to be repeatedly reminded to take stuff (it was all going), knocked over stacks of packed boxes and broke 3 large items. There was also a miscommunication between office and operations staff which was made to feel like my problem to solve.
