Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersPick up process was fine, but no communication around delivery date, I had to call multiple times. Also didn't bring everything for delivery the first time, and weren't aware of what had been left behind.
Your phone system didn't work and in the end a nice man in Wellington helped me. The bed was picked up and took 6 days to be delivered. I rang up to see where it was and had a good conversation with operations in Napier. Came right on time although drivers had wrong address. I saw them trying to back down a very tricky wrong drive so I rescued them. They were v pleasant.
I asked for all items to be packed to avoid damage and this was only done for the two large portraits. Consequently an ornate mirror was badly damaged.
i was never called when shipment arrived in Auckland and when I called on the Monday was told there was no record of the delivery arriving in Auckland on the Wednesday evening thr previous week. Finally later that day I was called to say it had arrived and someone would call to arrange a delivery time. Once again no phone call untI I rang in the afternoon. Rather than discuss a suitable delivery time, I was told 8.30am. When I requested a slightly earlier time to fit in with my husband's meetings there was reluctant agreement.
on delivery a picture was knocked off the wall and broken and on leaving two stones were knocked out of the wall on the driveway.

My piano was broken on arrival and I am still waiting for someone to come back to me about it. The piano is still with Conroys.
Items not wrapped in blankets or protected for the full duration of transit- damage occurred, awaiting contact to remedy.

I booked your removal service online a month or so before my move. I received an acknowledgement email with a quote very quickly and confirmation of the move. No problem there. A few days prior to the move I checked in with your local office and was told the operations department would ring me the day before the move. That did not happen so I rang your department the morning of the move to check everything was in order. You should have rung me - not the other way around. My truck was booked for 12 noon. It didn't arrive and after waiting for a while I rang your office and was told it would arrive within half an hour. That did not happen either. It eventually arrived at 1.40pm and I was given no apology or reason for being late. The lateness of their arrival also impacted on the people who were waiting to move into my house. The 3 guys who moved me were pleasant but seemed slightly disorganised and inexperienced. They ran out of blankets to wrap my pictures in and didn't seem to have room on the truck to load everything so I had to put a few more items in my car. The unloading at my new home didn't finish until 6.45pm - awfully late. The supervisor gave me a form to sign and to write down if there was any damage which I thought was really silly as I hadn't had a chance to check. Since then I have noticed a small gouge in my dining room table and some of the paint has come off one of my bedsides. As I'm sure you know, moving house is a very stressful experience - particularly when you're on your own as I am - and my experience with Conroys added to that stress. I would have expected a far better customer service experience and for the truck to arrive on time or someone to let me know if it was running late rather than me having to make the call. All in all not what I would have expected from a well known company such as Conroys.
Sales process to confirm move requirements did not meet our expectations. When we made an appointment to obtain a quote we expressed very clearly that we required our goods to be packed. When the survey was done we were told that packers weren't available to assist with our move the following week. We were very unhappy as we had no time to seek other help and were forced to do the job ourselves. We also then had further miscommunications about what packing materials were provided by Conroys.
We were however very happy with the actual move and found the move team good to work with and very efficient.
The overall service received was really good however getting a responce for the paperwork required took several atempts to receive, but we got there in the end.

This is the second time we have worked with Conroy via GB Liners with shipments to NZ from the UK. Overall the service is good. This time around delivery could have been better organised. We have an issue that the board room table was not delivered to the office. The team felt it was too heavy to lift up the stairwell, however there were 4 large men on the team, I think it would have been possible. The stairwell was no smaller than the stairwell in the office in the UK, which would have been lifted down. It appeared that they just did not want to do it.
Disappointed that I was told my paintings would be wrapped and they weren't. One is ripped beyond repair and a few others are scraped and will need repairing. it would be good to have more communication from operations re pickup and delivery times.
