Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersWhen I was quoted for the job, I was told that it allowed for labour for four persons at each end due to my 212kg spa pool move. There were only two at pickup. They said that others were coming but the never turned up. The two of them moved the 212kg spa with strips around their necks and back. It was veyr stressfull watching them take it up the ramp on its side, with all the weight down on the lower person. Highly dangerous for them and the spa.
Delivery - the delivery was planned for MOnday 11 October. I p[honed to check that this was the case as I had pelple arranged to help me on the day wiht unpacking etc. I got hold of MArk who knew nothign about the 11 Oct date. He was very helpful, and managed to arrange it for the Tuesday. I discussed the delivery with Mark in CHCH, and he said there would definitely need to be four peple for Health and saftey reasons for the delivery and manouevring of the spa. Two people were there for delivery - one was a complete newbie. A young skinny lad. The spa move from the truck to my garden was stressful to watch, and then, as they turned it on the trolley in my garden it almost fell off. (it was up on its side at this stage) My neighbour and myself has to assist to get it safely off the trolley without damage. The main guy at this end was very good and experienced, and helpful, but this was not a safe operation. He advised that another person was supposed to have been there but they never turned up. I would like to discuss this further with you as the resourcing of this pick upand delivery was not safe, or satisfactory, even though I had paid for additional resoruce to assist. Took three days from scheduled pick up date to actually get this item picked up. However it was then delivered to Kaikoura faster than anticipated
We would have preferred to be notified a day before delivery as the truck did not stop in Hamilton on the 8th day ( working days)..n ended up going back to Napier n reschedule date of delivery which was 11th day of delivery..a lot of work for Conroy as well having to re transfer goods onto a 3rd? truck in total..too much man handling" of our stuff.
The guys who came to the house were very good. However there was a serious lack of man power. I work in health and safety and Coroy management sending two men to unload 2 x 20 foot containers it unsafe.
The loading of the the conatiner was the mani issue I have. I moved my household goods from NZ to Ireland 7 years ago in a 20 foot container. The packing was terrible with massive waste of space. Boxes with one or two items with reems of paper packing. Once we had unloaded and reloaded storage container there was very little left. Baring in mind the 2 x sofa beds were not going to come, only that we were forced on the day to use a 40 foot container with an added cost of approximate $12,000.
We have always used you for moving since 1997! We have recently used you twice and have been impressed with your punctuality and the team's enthusiasm- however we have had our goods damaged and the lack of customer service from those that damaged the goods and those in the office was disappointing. We still support Conroy's but I would consider what I move movingly forward.
Great guys came and packed up my stuff. Delivered faster than antisipated but in good condition. The only let down was the time and day arranged for the pick up never happened. I waited and they didn't turn up. There was no contact why, what happened. I had to ring the next day to find out what was going on
I have used them before a few times and this is the first time they have let me down. They are usually very fast and efficient
I thought that they took to long (3 1/2Hrs)considering they only had half a house to shift because we had already packed a truck full to go back to Tauranga.Not a big house & all ready to be loaded. Also a couple of items were marked eg freezer and a couple of sratches on wooden headboard & mirror. It was a hot day but they are on a hourly rate & conditions are out of my control.
The pickup and drop off staff were really great. Professional and efficient.
Communications was lacking. I did not get a call confirming the move until 4pm the day before and I could not get a hold of anyone earlier than that to confirm that it was happening on the day I had stated. I specified the day I wanted it dropped off. On my agreement it said Conroy would deliver it then. I did not hear from Conroy until two days after the day I had specified that my stuff was being dropped off. If they couldn't deliver on the day I had specified why did they not inform me when I signed the agreement? They then forgot to deliver my couch and still have not done so nor have they let me know what day it will be delivered.
Still don't know if my boxes were delivered. They were picked up on Monday. Wgtn told me to ring Auckland who didn't pick up. Left message but no response. UB Freight say they haven't been delivered yet. So unsure where they are. Why don't you keep customers updated like most freight companies? There should be some sort of tracking done.
1st I would say Alfie is a neat young man he's very good at his job fantastic manners .Him an Kolby work great together.As for our Kolby he's the best no one could beat him manners excellent nothing is too much.The Napier broke my table top Kolby took photo an sent to his boss.Also got another broken glass it surrounded by a stone bottom candle fits inside.So all the best to the boys I've had Kolby 3 times now.You need to send him to Napier to show them how to pack.I was very upset with Napier.Good luck Alfie and Kolby you're the best.Sheryn.
Hi there, I was intending to write even before I was sent this feedback form. I had an excellent experience with Conroy. We organised our move last minute, it was very stressful, and the woman who first set up our video walk through and account was so reassuringly efficient. Everyone I spoke to was helpful and polite, and we had absolutely no issues. The people that packed up our house were fantastic - even going away to sit in the car for half an hour when we hadn't managed to get our toddler out the door. You provide an excellent service, way ahead of our experience moving from Australia back to NZ only a few months ago (with a different company). I was ready to recommend Conroy far and wide, that was until the Conroy unpackers arrived in Papanui and told us that of the 3 of them, only one of them had just his first covid vaccination (and only the day before, I believe). The other two were completely unvaccinated. If you are sending people into homes, they need to be double vaccinated. We won't be using Conroy again or recommending you guys until you could reassure us that you are not sending unvaccinated workers into homes where they may come into contact with unvaccinated children (like ours), or the medically vulnerable. I hope you consider your responsibility to the community and make some changes, as you clearly have an otherwise great company.
Poor communication Re arrival time for pick up. I would have thought most people would like confirmation early than 12 hours from pick up. Also paintings were not bubble wrapped as agreed with sales person. Slight damage to some frames.
