Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersBulk of the goods were delivered on Tuesday/Wednesday (1/2 Feb). Still waiting for the remainder of the goods to be delivered. These were picked up 27 Jan. They're pot plants. I'm worried that they may not survive 11 days after collection.
If someone from the office could at least give me some notice as to when to expect these please.

The container with my household effects arrived in Lyttleton on 31 December 2021. It then took over four weeks (!) before Conroy was finally able to deliver my stuff in Wellington. Communication was absolutely terrible - I always had to call and email for information. If I left messages, my calls were not returned. There was no proactive communication from your Wellington team.
Delivery of my household effects was on Wednesday, 2 February 2022. I had to call on Wednesday morning to get an approximate delivery time! To me, that's simply poor customer service and not acceptable.

We had two removals - one to Wellington and one to Auckland. Both had breakages and the Auckland delivery was incomplete with 4 missing items. Comms from the Napier office was great. I will wait for the other items to be delivered when found. The antique chair has been taken away for repair.
When we moved to Hawkes Bay in 2012 we were very impressed by the efficiency and service we received from Conroy and consequently recomended them to all.
As a result we automatically went back to Conroy's to move us back to Canterbury but this time we are disappointed. The packing was not sufficient to protect items and several pieces of furniture have minor scapes and dents which are not worth repairing, but will always be there. Several items were not cataloged and when the household was unloaded there were a few other clients items among ours. Four larger items were broken which we will be claiming for when we can find a similar item to get a price. It is understandable that the remaining space in the container should be utilised when shipping from one island to the other, but it appears that most breakage was caused by lack of care when loading on top of ours. All the smaller items wrapped and placed in boxes were well done without any breakages. The workshop items were all ticked off on the wrong schedule when delivered. Consequently we are disappointed that the standard was not up to our first move.
Email communication can be improved. I had to revert to sending "one-liner" emails to get specific answers. Some emails were never responded to. Goods were delivered a day earlier than the booked date, with 10 minutes notice. Phoning the office to get the wrapping material picked up was an unfriendly experience.
Seems like there is a disconnect between the sales department and the people doing the delivery. Docket states "Delivery and Unpack", yet this did not mean that the goods were unwrapped or unpacked despite the fact that I asked the question and was told that it would be. This was quoted and paid for in advance.
Communication and help was good regarding customs preclearance, in contrast.
I booked this job on the understanding that appropriate packaging would be available for my beds and sofas. I was assured that the plastic etc would be on the truck & so I was happy to confirm the job. When the guys arrived there was no such packaging and I spent considerable time trying to organise delivery of the same. One staff member at reception was great, the other at the depot, not so helpful. The young men that did the move were very pleasant & efficient. All in all, perhaps there may have been a communication breakdown but I believe that the customer service at the depot end needs improvement!
The NZ part was nice, but my stuff hasn't actually arrived yet....
I was happy with customer service and arranging the pack up etc as I was not able to be there myself. The transit time and delivery people were fantastic but now I have unpacked I am not happy.
Valuable ceramics were packed with other hard things such as a side table, one is broken. A wet outdoor basket was packed on top of white bed linen which is now mouldy.
Clothing on coat hangers was not packed in the usual 'hanging' boxes that I have seen for previous removals, and has all arrived crushed.
Large boxes were packed with a range of large and small loose items ie a PC hub was unwrapped and in the bottom of a box also containing cosmetics, bathroom items
and a small side table meaning it was under many items. Odd!
We were very happy with our packers and movers. They worked so hard and we have nothing but praise for them.
We were disappointed that the truck didn't arrive until 10am as it was supposed to be 8.30am. Shane messaged me saying it was due to a safety stop work meeting, but the moving guys said the truck had not been emptied the night before, which is not good enough. This delay made it very stressful in the afternoon when the new owners started moving in and we hadn't moved out. It was worst case scenario, and would have been avoided if the truck had arrived on time.
Also the blankets used could do with a clean or airing, as we had alot of dust on our furniture.
