Pick up was over 3 hours late past estimated quoted time and had to call twice to confirm they were still coming. Mattress was separated and ended up in wellington. Would have just been better if everything arrived at the same time at the same place.They were however accomodating in changing our delivery address when it was required. But unfortunately the cons outweighed the pros for us.
Hi there , the first few steps were very nice and worked very well, the processing of the papers in Christchurch and filling them out in the office in Napier were very good, but after that everything was a little opaque and I didn't quite understand because I got 1 or 2 emails and i replied to that but haven't gotten a reply to date, and all of a sudden my stuff was in napier and was supposed to be delivered on a saturday, the office wanted to get in touch and let you know on friday if it works - no call...me I called but nobody could help me, so I went to work and then at some point I had a call from the team that wanted to bring the furniture...so unfortunately that was nothing...the week after that, the same game...it was Saturday I was at home but when nobody was there by 11.30 a.m. I called...the information was - unfortunately nobody was there to deliver and it wasn't planned...on the third Saturday it worked... I would perhaps use the service again. Maybe someone really cares what I do I didn't write most of the time and nothing changes... greeting Martin Armbruster
Packing girls in Auckland were great and the Christchurch team who unloaded us were also great however the loading team in Auckland were very bad. We had several things broken by them, they managed to get greese on furniture (which we have had to have professionally cleaned at our cost) they damaged walls in the house we moved out of as well as getting greese down them, including a wall painted the day before. They stole a hand cart and no one from Conroys has followed up on tis dispite calls and emails to the office so all in all a very poor service experiance which we paid a lot of money for. I will never use this company again and do not recommend them to anyone.
This move did not go smoothly. There was a communication mix up at the start; I was assured that the pick up would have bags to cover my sofa and mattress but they didn't; the pick up movers arrived at 10.30 when I had been told they would arrive between 1 and 4pm, this meant I was not able to do final checks and, despite emphasizing it was a very narrow street, they brought a truck with a full size container on it and were then unable to get it on-site and had to send for a smaller van to transfer my goods to the bigger one. This led to long delays and , I believe, a fairly rough and ready packing job when the goods were repacked onto the big truck. When unpacked at the final destination, furniture fell on the movers, I had multiple breakages despite the boxes being labeled fragile, and some boxes had obviously had sharp objects pushing in to them. On the positive..the delivery was on the date promised, the movers were pleasant at both pick up and delivery and the delivery truck arrived exactly on time. After the initial confusion communication with admin was good.
I would have given you a better score however like a game of rugby it was a game of two halves. The pick up and packaging of the items from Ashburton was excellent. Staff were great and friendly and seemed to pack everything well. I was concerned a little that the duchess and draw set were not packed or covered but didn't mention anything. Unfortunately when the items arrive we were short a mirror and there were significant scratches on two pieces of furniture. (please note you do not need to publish this)

Over two hours late to arrive.
The heater was obviously dropped and broken. We should have been notified about this. Instead it was dropped off and in pieces for me to deal with and Pay to dump
Communication was terrible. I said I could be flexible with the date and wanted a morning pickup. As per the booking i was moving 4 hours away so an afternoon booking would not work. I chased this multiple times only to gef a call fhe afternoom before saying they would be there late afternoon. I rung back several times (inlcuding office) and left a message saying I needed a morning booking. No-one rung back. Eventually I sent a text and was still told it would be late afternoon. I said that doesn't work for me. Was finally told they would try to sort in the morning of my booking. The next morning I again left voicemails and eventually got a grumpy call to say they'd be there at 9.30. This was extra stress I didn't need on moving day and completely unnecessary if this had all been confirmed days/weeks earlier.
On Thursday i got a call to say my things would be dropped off in just over an hour. When I was surprised by that the man said it was always going to be delivered that day and Auckland should have told me. Nobody ever told me about delivery at this end. Luckily I was there and that was ok. I could have been completely flexible at this end, just needed communication.
i did get some things that didn't belong to me so hopefully they have found tthe right home.
The actual movers were amazing, helpful and friendly.
i have said i'd use again but would have to have confirmation of everything well before the date required
Conroy staff refusal to wear masks during the move (at West Quay Apartments) caused some runctions with the Body Corpoorate administration, and the job was nearly cancelled mid-load. Plus it wasn't known unitl delivery at the other end (James Wattie Village) that one of the three guys was not even vaccinated. A poor show, when 'double vaccinated and masks to be worn' were stipulated as requirements when the booking was confirmed.
We were very happy with our packers and movers. They worked so hard and we have nothing but praise for them.
We were disappointed that the truck didn't arrive until 10am as it was supposed to be 8.30am. Shane messaged me saying it was due to a safety stop work meeting, but the moving guys said the truck had not been emptied the night before, which is not good enough. This delay made it very stressful in the afternoon when the new owners started moving in and we hadn't moved out. It was worst case scenario, and would have been avoided if the truck had arrived on time.
Also the blankets used could do with a clean or airing, as we had alot of dust on our furniture.
Left many messages both e-mail and phone for Brooke Hart. Never had any reply which was so so disappointing.. Busy time for all of you but I don't understand why someone did not get back to me. Thankfully I finally got hold of Jo in Auckland and she connected me and my neighbour with the Tauranga office - Shane? I'm sure he will be so pleased that this removal has been completed. Thanks Shane. And to the 2 lovely guys who delivered these items to me on Friday 18th A HUGE HUGE THANK YOU. So appreciated your humour. You made my day!!!
