Communication generally good until covid decimated the office staff. Misplacing 8 boxes not a good look either. However, overall would probably use them again.
A couple of items were not well packed and sustained some damage during the move. I would recommend taking more care packing and transporting items.
The initial service was great and very informative. Emails were answered promptly and phone queries were answered thoroughly however we still have not received our container in Australia,. It left for Napier 17th December and now three and half months later it is still not here. We understand that Covid has played a part in the delay probably but Conroys Australia has not provided us with any updates or reasons, only when I emailed to ask. Overall we have been happy so far except for the delay and lack of communication. Removal and packing were great but we can't comment on delivery yet.
Very disappointed in conroys.our removal pickup was excellent,however they let themselves and the company down on delivery and communication.
our brand new lounge suite is damaged and scratches on furniture could have been prevented.
There were good things and bad things. The quote system and booking in the job went well - I was impressed with the trunaround time in which someone came back to me. The price was very good compared to other quotes i received. What really let the service down was the poor communication on the operations side. The van that came to collect the goods from Wellington turned up unannounced at my daughters flat and neither myself nor daughter were there so one of the flatmates let the movers in and they took what they thought was meant to go. They left one thing behind and they took one thing that wasn't meant to go - there didn't appear to be a check back to the inventory provided which was concerning and no receipt for goods collected. I arrived after getting an SOS call from the flatmate just as the van was ready to leave. I had been assured that there would be a phone call regards pick up time so i could meet them and had even called that morning to see if i could obtain a time. In terms of delivery in Dunedin, there was radio silence. I called Christchurch at least four times to gain clarity on expected delivery - was told Monday, nothing happened, was told Tuesday, nothing happened and goods finally delivered Weds. Very frustrating as we have better things to do than sit around waiting for deliveries. So, a good start, but a disappointing finish. Would use again if these issues were rectified - it's just a simple matter of ongoing communication. Thanks for the opportunity to provide feedback.
We don't yet have our belongings. I am aware that likely they are with a "delivery partner" in Australia but still...
Need to more safe packing and secure safe in container because our cupboard cabinet and washing machine has been damaged.
You force a yes/no answer to would I use your services again and would I recommend you when my answer is maybe. I would consider using your services again and recommending you to others but that would come with some cautions. We did have small damage to several items, we have lost one small electronic device and items we asked to be wrapped and were listed on your docket weren't.
One packer was sent and that clearly wasn't enough. We actually ended up helping him.
You have some good staff but how the various staff we dealt with communicated with one another was not clear. The person who visited and quoted accepted and documented our instructions but these were changed by packer and removal staff. We were allocated a contact person, her role was unclear and when communicating with her we always had to leave a message and there wasn't always follow-up.
Packers missed a draw in our kitchen after they had left for the day and also did not wrap the outside glass garden table with bubble wrap as they had ran out of bubble wrap. Packers were very rushed. They also put sticky labels n each item of furniture and our items were in storage for a while and now the sticky labels are really hard to get off our furniture. Would suggest that sticky labels on furniture is not a good idea. When our goods were delivered to our new property not all of our boxes were taken into our house and they left some in the garage so we had to pick the up ourselves and put in our room. Some of our items were not labelled very clearly either by packers. We had no update either after our goods had been packed and removed to say if they had arrived in Tauranga. An update would have been good as our items were still in Auckland several weeks after we moved.
A lot of our big furniture items got very scratched as they hadn't been wrapped and secured in the blankets properly. A few furniture items were not covered in plastic and are now filthy and stained. Our dining table, tv unit, and baby's crib are really quite damaged with scratches which is very disappointing. Our antique record player that was clearly labelled 'fragile' and 'to stay upright', had been stored upside down in the truck, and the inside got broken due to the rough handling. A few smaller items had been bent to fit inside boxes (including antique taxidermy), so they have also been damaged. More care needs to be taken when packing, loading and unloading to ensure fragile items are safe and instuctions are followed. On delivery, I noticed that the blakets were all removed, then furniture was dragged out of the truck which resulted in scratching. I would possibly use your services again, but would keep a closer eye as things are packed and delivered to ensure thye don't get damaged.
