The lady I was talking to ( Rhonda ) pulled out all stops and arranged the shift at short notice one day late on the Saturday morning The truck was there at 7.30 as promised with two great guys and the shift was completed by 9.30 ( a good experiance ) A good team but let down by the original contact not being actioned
I am sorry to report that my communication with move co-ordinater was often confusing. My impression is that she is not too well organised but perhaps I might have been just unlucky.
Good
There was a slightly damaged electrical cable during the move but otherwise ok. In terms of quote and buying insurance it should be explained in the quote that you need to go back to the insurance company etc. I paid on the quote which included insurance but then when I accepted it, another operator said you still had to get go back and get a firm quote... it was a bit tedious and increased my emails by 50% which I didn't need to. Also best to have one person deal with it from start to finish for more consistent customer experience. Otherwise, the price was good, movers were good and overall a good company.
While in Australia, I had some trouble understanding some forms, 1 lady I dealt with was not helpful at all.. emails took ages to be returned or not answered at all..
Other than her, I have had great communication with everyone else involved.
Some stuff is lost and hasnt been delivered.
Friendly Helpful
We utilised Conroys services for our recent move which involved 2 weeks storage. The packing staff were friendly and helpful, just could have been more careful in their packing as minor damage done by not enough care. Not sufficient to make a claim. The drop off crew were also friendly and very helpful with no issues in the placement of our possessions.. Contacting Conroys was simple, though we seemed to be always dealing with someone different. My preference is I like to deal with one person. Conroys , for us provided a one stop shop. Areas of improvement can be made, though overall I would use Conroys again.
Very poor experience Extremely stressful , truck due to arrive at 9 got a phone call apparently the staff hadnt turned up to work , then 10 another phone call truck wont start apparently flat battery , phoned branch manager said he look into it and get back to me but never heard from him again and wouldnt answer phone till end of day , Truck finally arrives at 12 , Driver and a couple of young kids , 4 and half hours later truck loaded but couldnt fit everything on .Now this is where the service improves , they sent another truck to collect the balance and didnt charge us for it , would also like to mention that all the guys on both trucks were very helpful and friendly, especially Mike who I was dealing with mainly. So booked at 9am finished unloading at 7.30pm .
Brilliant
The removal team of 3 were brilliant, they made the choice of using Conroy's worthwhile.
I have been very happy with the way I have been treated with respect and friendly courtesy. I have not been able to unpack any cartons so still unaware of the state of the goods inside.
Picture and monitor not internationally wrapped as agreed
reluctance to put beds etc up at delivery end
cannot find feet for bed
We'd very much like to be rating you 5 Star and ticking YES to to the above two questions. However, there were a few "hiccups" that occurred (some not too major) leaving us a bit perplexed and with a sour taste over our experience . The main issue was the attitude of moving staff after he caused damage not only to two pieces of our main bedroom furniture (chip to top left of headboard & 3 chips/scratches to top of a bedside cabinet) but more annoying was that he tried moving both bedside cabinets (one on top of other) at same time - with the almost inevitable result! Yep, the top one slid off.. causing a gash/hole in the door between passageway & main bedroom! He refused to accept that he had done anything wrong (had a blase attitude) Also, I was left feeling like we were treated as "second class" customers for not using your packing service? I say that because he made a comment when I asked him for a phillips screwdriver to detach the mirror (off the dresser unit) and he said words to the effect that it was NOT their (Conroy) job to be providing any tools, as we (the paying customers) had chosen not to use your packing option. Of course by that stage, all our tools were stowed away in a box somewhere up front of Conroy truck. I then had to go find a neighbour who could lend me one. The crew were also rather slack with their "timeliness" by arriving at 09:05 (we were told 08:00 by Operations via phone call to Rochelle the previous day) and they took a full two hours from leaving Otane until arrival at Ypres Street. I wasa advised that they'd be taking a 30 minute lunch break (no problem with that) however, it should no way have taken 90 minutes to drive that distance? My wife was left hanging around waiting & wondering what had happened? There were a couple of other minor matters, but I do feel like I've moaned on enough already..
