Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersWe have used Conroy Removals several times and overall have been pleased with the service offered.This time everything was done with the usual efficiency. We did at times feel that the movers were a little put out with some aspects of our move which we had no control over. This meant that at times our move was handled with little grace and somewhat grudgingly. This is not to take away from the fact that the end result was achieved on time and on budget.
Recommend
The boys didn't have a dolly which makes it harder and slower for the movers to move things. I would recommend getting 3 instead of 2 movers as one of the men stayed in the truck to organise while the other mover, moved stuff. Otherwise the lads were lovely and the move went well. Have used before and been impressed both times. Would definitely recommend.
The removal men themselves were awesome, but I was booked for 8.30 Saturday, Cam rung on Friday to reconfirm the booking but said they had a tiny job to do first and should be with me by 10. I asked for them to call me when they were 10 mins away as I live in a 370sqm floor and wouldn't klnow they were there - he said they didn't have phones!!!! Really? So by 12 I decided to go and do some errands and as I left the building they pulled up - much bigger job previous with 120 odd stairs. Such a waste of my time wandering about the building staying close to the intercom just in case. If I had been given a contact number or had a 10/15 minute warning I could have gone about my day.
Arrived late for pickup and labeled our boxes with another customers detail, which the team did not realise until we pointed it out to them. Both teams (packers and unpackers) were very helpful and obliging.
The contact and communication was very good , however when we received the goods delivered , there was a support break on the timber table and the cloth covering the chairs were very dusty; the delivery personel advised us that the table was in this broken state when they `picked it up ` from storage -
The experience in Au was great, but it went down hill upon arrival in NZ. not happy.
I moved from Australia to Dunedin Recently.I can't fault The Australian side of organisation & communication.Once my freight landed in Christchurch I was notified and then there wasn't anymore communication until the delivery driver was 1 hr away from my premises.This was 2 weeks after freight arrival.The truck was huge and could not get up to my premises.i was asked if I could work out a solution.ultimatlely my daughter and son-in-law had to meet driver and offload my freight onto their vehicles to bring to my premises My son-in-law had to leave his place of employment to do so.They also had to sort through Conroy's truck to find my freight, as it wasn't alot .The driver was very apologetic but I am Very disappointed in what started out an easy process that turned out a nightmare
The guys on pickup were awesome - friendly, efficient and helpful. They wrapped our fragile items beautifully and managed to squeeze in my houseplants! On delivery (another team) they were not as good. As I walked outside the one guy spat on to the driveway which was a bit gross. The furniture was put in the rooms I specified, however all the boxes were loaded in to the garage (no one asked where I wanted things) and they seemed in a hurry to leave. The person who was in the truck in charge of placing items in the truck was good on both locations though.
Given the rates are a lot higher than the 'smaller' by the hour companies I would have expected my washing machine hooked up to the new laundry and the boxes to be put in the relevant rooms/areas.
The booking process was great, loved the virtual tour for the estimate and all my quetsions were answered well and Katerina was helpful at all times. Cam who phoned to confirm days and times was also really great to deal with.
I got 3 quotes for moving my furniture overseas - yours was in line with the other 2. As it turned out, you have significanlty under-estimated the volume of the furniture and later made an adjustement. This made your service the most expensive of the 3. There have been inaccuracies with the dates of uplifting and issues with the charges on the Australian side. The move is incomplete, as the furniture is yet to be delivered - for which I have pre-paid. I don't how that is going to go.
Unfortunately the service was very rough at the pickup end - on there way into our driveway they crashed into the fence post - it was a Saturday and it was like they were in a mad rush and the stacking into the container was dreadful. They did not wrap our leather couch's and they were dragged along the container floor and now has scratches. The crew unloading were much more respectful and did a great job, even they thought the stacking at the pickup end was poor. We wouldn't use Conroys again for the price of it.
Yes would recommend. The docket indicated that they would assist in unpacking the boxes, this was not offered (and not really expected) but the TV was left sealed in the crate which we didn't have the tools to open. Once we contacted them the next day they arrived very quickly, so that was good, would have been better if it had been uncrated the day of the delivery. Thanks.
The service was overpriced and the quote ended up being incorrectly made. The movers said this was incorrectly priced as well.
