I have used Conroys for a while but have found that the centralised system to Napier does not work well at all. I just like to be able to ring the Auckland office rather than it going to Napier. I had some issues with my quotes (misunderstanding on the quote form) and when the boys turned up although the request had been sent through to Ak correctly by Caroline the Ak office was going to refuse to take one of my deliveries as they said they had no code (which they did). I had to spend considerable time sorting it out. One chap seemd very experienced but the other chap not so much as did not seem as confident in his carrying techniques although were very polite.They were caught bewtween their boss syaing they couldnt pick up my delivery and the Napier office saying they could.I had advised a heavy load but the truck had no mechanical lift making it very difficult.They said they would have to come back but I insisted on the load being attempted.I asked for a call 20 mins prior but that also did not happen (as I had said it was a pick up at my other location). I do not know how the delivery has gone yet although no news is good news.
Another aspect is the tracking of 11 items being picked up...I asked how this was going to be tracked and I did the stickering and coding myself and wrote on the back of the paperwork.I would asume stickers would be produced rather than my having to do them manually! Rather unprofessional..
So all in all a pretty average expereince to be honest.

would of put thru a 5 originally as louise was great but information about pick up time and position not passed onto driver in end so was rather messy with pick up side and delivery in end

We found the service to be satisfactory and were happy with the crews work on site.
However the pick up crew were nearly 2 hours late due to the rostered driver not turning up for work.
Again on delivery we were told by dispatch Thursday 18 June the truck would be 9.30 - 10.00 for delivery. We had extra hands organised to unload due to the access at the property. At 10.30 following calls to your dispatch we found out the truck was not due till 1.00pm.
It arrived not long after 1.00pm and only had the driver and 1 other. We were told that there would be driver and 2 crew.
We are not happy we had to wait at both ends with no updates from Conroy. Also in regard to having extra help waiting for 4 hours at unload was inconvenient to us and our helpers; and being 1 crew short at unload was not ideal either.
There was 4 pottery plant holders broken and the delivery driver, who did not load, commented that they should have been wrapped.

The staff were friendly but failed to bag the couches and they now have dirt marks on them from their hands.
There is an oil stain on one chair.

Took twice as long as previous move with conroys,same amount of furniture etc prepared the same way to approx the same distance,which was from Havelock North to Hastings..That move took 2 hours..

A few things. It would probably be useful if you asked for feedback from the correct person. I was the customer in this instance - not Janet Macklin. Additionally when I got the first call, they called me to tell me they were on their way to pick up the sideboard.....instead of calling Janet....
I had also asked that they call me when they get here because finding my house is a bit problematic. They didn't. I had to walk up the driveway after hearing the truck and they were at the wrong house.
Your guys were friendly but your systems and processes need help

The man who picked up my 4 Topairy in their pots was great. But one of the pots was broken on arrival in Auckland which was very disappointing.

I am in Hamilton, I had to wait a considerable time for my furniture to be shifted, I do not think you are geared up to do Hamilton deliveries. Your staff were very good and I was happy when you wrapped the furniture.

The quote and pickup process was great as was the delivery by the Auckland team. In between we had an issue getting an accurate delivery date. The furniture itself had no damage. Improve the accuracy of final delivery time when the quote is finalised will go a long way to having a perfect system.

I would only use you guys again if you were significantly cheaper than other companies. Your communication was not great. You guys showed up to collect the furniture with virtually no prior warning (somebody was going to call ahead of time to arrange a time) and then I could not get a straight answer regarding when the furniture would be delivered at the other end. In fact, an office person had told me it would be delivered on either 4th or 5th June. After it didn't arrive I called up to be told it would now be on the 8th June. Inconvenient, as there was nobody able to be at home this day, and I also had to spend a few more unexpected nights sleeping on the floor.
My Name is Chris and I was the one paying for the service from Gisbourne to Auckland. The final Destionation being my own home. Dont call me Julie, that is my untie or the pick up address.lol.
