"Improve the accuracy of final delivery time"
The quote and pickup process was great as was the delivery by the Auckland team. In between we had an issue getting an accurate delivery date. The furniture itself had no damage. Improve the accuracy of final delivery time when the quote is finalised will go a long way to having a perfect system.
" Your communication was not grea"
I would only use you guys again if you were significantly cheaper than other companies. Your communication was not great. You guys showed up to collect the furniture with virtually no prior warning (somebody was going to call ahead of time to arrange a time) and then I could not get a straight answer regarding when the furniture would be delivered at the other end. In fact, an office person had told me it would be delivered on either 4th or 5th June. After it didn't arrive I called up to be told it would now be on the 8th June. Inconvenient, as there was nobody able to be at home this day, and I also had to spend a few more unexpected nights sleeping on the floor.
"disappointing experience overall"
I think things could be improved. While one issue was not the fault of Conroys - the sub contractor hired to help pack missed a cupboard in the kitchen after being told that was where the pots were,. The lack of communication from the Christchurch office was very disappointing. The information given by Brisbane office was that a Dunedin company was the NZ agent. After a couple of phonecalls to them, I was informed it was your Christchurch office. When I eventually got hold of Adam, he seemed very bored with having to arrange delivery, even though this was nearly a week after our furniture arrived. Our contact with Emma in Auckland had indicated that customs and quarantine had been cleared and that delivery should be the 4th or 8th. We had ensured that the delivery address was given in the time frame requested (2nd June). Even after telling Adam that we did want delivery, We heard nothing more and had to contact Emma to find out what was going on. We still did not hear from the Christchurch office re the delivery, it was the truck driver, who contacted us and advised delivery time. The result is a disappointing experience overall.
"Overall service great"
We understood from Allied Pickfords that our goods would be unpacked on delivery. Not really an issue as we have been able to unpack at leisure and as required. But this may need to be clarified with Allied Pickfords. Overall service great. Reception and delivery staff very friendly and efficient.

Wasn't impressed that the guys tracked mud onto carpet at uplift and that phil didn't have a helper at destination. Nothing broken and frozen stuff all good. Coffee table, entertainment unit and spare bed acquired scratches.

"Wouldn't recommend to others"
Wouldn't recommend to others because then I would feel responsible if something went wrong with their move. Probably wouldn't use again because packing not great and 3 breakages - although thought the people I dealt with were pleasant.
"Communication at delivery point was poor"
Service in Auckland was great and the boys who dropped furniture off in Napier were very efficient, however communication at delivery point was poor (no one called in morning to give approximate time of delivery and no one called 30 min prior to delivery to advise drop off so the guys had to wait 20 mins while we drove to the delivery address). Also why do you use those cheap, awful stickers to label everything? We have had a terrible time removing them, especially the ones stuck directly on our wooden furniture! For the price you charge surely you can use easy to remove labels!

Hi ya - our/my stuff was all collected and delivered as arranged.
Just 2 things I'd like to mention since I'm here now doing this review, and maybe both are null & void as perhaps I was meant to have done more too.
1. Noticed that somewhere after pick-up the 2 men’s bike were placed on top of a lot of other large items in the truck and when the driver had to get them out on delivery it seemed quite difficult as he had to juggle and drag them over-head to manoeuvre with handle bars, peddles, spokes and wheels all moving and catching on things. What with having to get straight back to work at the time and rest of the week, still don’t know yet if there’s any damage to these.
2. There’s a large scratch/gouge down the side of one of the smaller dresser.
Was it my responsibility to have these it’s wrapped?
Need to say the driver was pleasant and thank you for covering the bed & base in plastic and thank you for packing the stereo into boxes.

"Real time wasters"
The reasons for the above rating. The young men who came to pack our house house were there for approx 5 hours, of which half the time was spent sitting and laying in the van resting, smoking, talking on the phone. These young men stretched Out the job as long as they could, real time wasters.
As our furniture went into storage when it arrived in Whakatane we have only been able to inspect a small amount. We have found scratches to most of the bedroom furniture, and a knob broken on the small wall unit. There may be more but we won't know until it comes out of storage. I do have photos of the damage we have found so far.
Service was smooth, better on NZ side. Slight lack of communication
