"The service started out fantastic in Perth"
The service started out fantastic in Perth, and after a longer wait than expected our stuff finally arrived......but with out the dirt bike missing and since then the service has gone down hill fast, with a lack of communication, to our bike crate being damaged and the tie downs not left with it, when we paid almost $300 for all of this and expressed on more than 2 occasions that we did want to keep all of this.

We only got 1 hour notice with our shipment being delivered to our home. This was difficult to organise as we both work. Lack of cummunication was dissapointing.
"The two men who delivered our goods were excellent"
The two men who delivered our goods were excellent. Efficient, polite & extremely obliging! Shame about all the damage, which appears to have come from some VERY rough handling but who knows at which stage of the journey.

Your website was an efficient way to book. However I then heard no more 6 weeks later, when I initiated a call as to where my furniture was, to the Napier branch who was doing the collection. I was told it had been collected in Napier a month ago and was now in Christchurch. When I rang Christchurch they said yes they had it and they would deliver it the next day, but that was unsuitable to me. I had expected to be given progress updates, especially as the time period was extended.
The furniture arrived in good condition and the delivery people were friendly and helpful. I liked it that the wrappings were all removed and the furniture was carried into the room and put in the right place.

"The truck pickup in Auckland was two hours late"
The truck pickup in Auckland was two hours late so we were delayed returning back to Napier and I had to cancel an appointment on the way. The staff were great once they arrived and worked hard to get the job done by 2pm. Unfortunately the driver who delivered the big truck in Napier had a very negative and unhelpful attitude. It was clear he didn't want to be there and was overheard being rude about me by my partner. The other two were great and worked very hard to make up for it but still my partner did most of the heavy lifting. A few things were broken and the protective blankets were removed too soon between trucks so dirty hand prints on upholstery of new dining chairs etc. Overall it was an average service and without my partner working very hard it would have taken a lot longer. Not a disaster but expected a little more customer care to be honest. Glad we got it done eventually and now the unpacking begins.
"At the end of the day I was happy"
I was surprised with how long it took for the removalists to pack our items into the container for the move. Having never done an inter-city move before I realise this may be how long it takes in general, however we were quite unprepared for this. I was very unimpressed with some of the language and behaviour of the removalists and was really disappointed that not all items were able to fit into the container and a second truck was arranged to collect them.
At the end of the day I was happy that everything arrived at its final destination in one piece and the additional items that couldn't fit into the container still arrived at the same time, so it was an efficient service at that end. But some warning about how long the packing/removing of items might take and some better co-ordination and communication.
"Duty of care could have been better"
Duty of care could have been better. While it was a very long day for the three guys, a few items were damaged during loading. An expensive lead glass display cabinet has two broken panes due to it being squeezed in to a smaller space on the truck than was needed. I was present when the glass broke. An oak dining table has a mark across it where the blanket moved and the item above was pushed in to place. The 4 bar gate/fence was damaged at the new house by the removal truck. Conroy has agreed to have the damaged gate section replaced. The lead glass panes will cost several hundred $ to replace.
Conroy need to consider better protection covers for the furniture. A company I used in Porirua had covers for the suite, all the beds, the table and chairs and all other expensive items. It meant that the goods were less likely to get damaged or marked. This would improve the customer satisfaction for Conroy.

The pickup of our items in Wellington was well managed and my wife was delighted with the service. The dropoff in Whakatane was not done well as the truck was two and a half hours late from the final leg from Tauranga to Whakatane. I ended up helping to unload my possesions as there was only one person in the truck and one person unloading.

still waiting for my stuff!!! has cleared customs etc but not delivered!! even though it cleared a week a go, have emailed twice for delivery date but have now had a response! would really like my stuff.
