Goods arrived on time but three items of furniture damaged.
"I would have given it a 5 star rating however my couch has been left with black marks all over it"
I would have given it a 5 star rating however my couch has been left with black marks all over it (and it's a cream couch) due to the uplifters running out of plastic wrap. I was told that they had run out however that they would wrap the couches when they got to Christchurch. This was not done and the container arrived with the couches unwrapped. One of the couches has a big black stripe down the back with black fingerprints over a number of areas due to the guys picking it up. The guys were friendly and did go out of their way to get the couches inside though (which required the door to be removed and the legs to be removed) however I was dissapointed the couches were not covered.
"I found the Salesman a little pushy"
I found the Salesman a little pushy. The bedroom boxes were all labelled 'Master' bedroom and it made it a nightmare when we intended to only bring back half the house especially when we specifically stated we were only bringing back half the house. The walls were scuffed and a light shade dented when moving furniture back into the house. Moving staff were friendly and easy to get along with.
"Very unfortunate move"
This second shift was not up to the standard of the first move. The young fellow was over confident and careless with our furniture, damaging two legs of a large steel table. I had to calm him down with his style of trying to lift heavy items by himself. Speed was all he knew. Very unfortunate move.
"OK Service - not great"
OK Service - not great. In NZ getting our stuff priced and packaged was easy and efficient however took >13 weeks for it to arrive at our house in the UK. The hold up seemed to be in the UK and neither Conroys or their UK counterpart seemed able to help/speed up the process - our stuff took >2weeks to travel from Birmingham (where it was kept after more than a week at customs) to London - a massive inconvenience. There are no set terms and conditions for this eventuality and no compensation/advice of any sort, however all parties were quick to respond to emails and communicated well.

The men who did the actual move, Ryan, Jeff and Charlton were friendly, efficient and respectful with our belongings. Unfortunately the truck which was sent was too small for all our stuff so we had to ask a neighbour to bring the rest of our belongings in 2 additional trips on moving day. This as you can imagine was very inconvenient. If we use Conroys in the future, I would make sure someone came round to see the house and furniture before the move in order to assess which truck would be suitable. This option was not given to me when I called and feel that it was a rather large oversight by Conroys.

A few items were left at the leaving address and we had to go and get them ourselves after we realised they were missing.
i.e bedding from main bedroom, vacum cleaner from hall cupboard

I've used Conroys on 8 occasions. Great friendly and helpful drivers. Office staff could use some upskilling though
"Dress code could be more professional"
Was rung twice to remind me our removal was at 8am so good follow up however truck came at 8.27am No phone call to say they would be late. ?? Dress code could be more professional and maybe not drinking cans of drink on job. However on my next move 3/9 I found Justin and hux to be very professional, fast and efficient.!! Job well done Thanks

We were happy with the packers who came around and packed into boxes.
The guys who picked up/dropped off everything was great.
However quite a few boxes were wet and mouldy from water leaking into the container.
This has damaged a dresser and we'd like information on how to make a claim for this.

"A shame, because the people were all great"
The people that we dealt with throughout, ie on the phone and especially the delivery people, were awesome to deal with. Super-friendly, but unfortunately we had a few items quite badly damaged, as well as damage to the walls of the house that we moved into. A shame, because the people were all great.
Conroys is a great moving company very competitive and excellent for farm moves .But I do have a complaint when you give me a quote that says that all beds will be packed in plastic bags and there will be boxes provided for televisions then that is what I expect would happen ,not to have the truck come and there are no bed bags or boxes for the tv .Yes I still had the box for my large TV so that was good .The other thing is i have asked twice now for receipts to my payments and still I have nothing !!! I need a receipt as the cost will be reimburesd to me from the farm and need to know that i have actually paid .so I am still waiting and if I have to keep waiting then there will be a not so polite phone call very soon !!!
