"Overall was happy with the move."
Overall was happy with the move.
My only concern was the damage caused to wooden floor at the front door.
This was significant and probably would have noticed at the time by Lester and Sonny and then advised to me.
My wife and the real estate agent Dianne Anderson who was very familiar with our property certainly noticed it on Wednesday 10th Feb. Also the purchaser noticed this at his final inspection yesterday and there is talk about delaying full settlement till the matter is resolved.
Today is settlement day and I would really appreciate it if your company would cover the cost of repair;approx area of that entrance is only about 1 and half sq m.

"as a company Conroys were great"
we did our move in 3 parts with being 2 houses condensing to a large house and flat.
as a company Conroys were great and the first move we had 2 excellent guys but it obviously varies with who you get.
we had a new bedside drawer set bounce off the handcart and broke the glass top and scratched the handles otherwise everything was fairly safe and sound.
we had never moved before to use anyone else so hard to compare....
"seem to have overbooked"
Your team are really lovely people. Unfortunately you seem to have overbooked your ability to deliver in that short week . My son had a number of issues including inability to deliver on the arranged day when he ahd interviews the following day - it all got pretty messy. However the manager in Wellington was a very apologetic and helpful gentlement and cusomter recovery was great. Suggest you just check that the bookings match the ability to delvier at the end of the journey and if there is an issue, a text to alert the customer prior to, not after waiting all day for the no delivery would be most important .

The key area you guys have to improve is communication on pick up and delivery. You dont call until an hour or so before pick up and that means you hang around waiting. A simple cal the day before would improve things a lot

While the staff were friendly and careful moving our possessions to and from the truck (Ben, Darcy, and the younger man in Dannevirke) the persons who packed in Tuakau, and unpacked in Dannevirke were not so careful, scratching the drier, crushing and dropping a number of boxes and items of furniture and showing little understanding of relative weights and strength stacking heavy objects and furniture on top of boxes labelled crockery and linen. Breakages were limited to a picture frame and a side plate, for which we are grateful as we are for the arrival of all our stuff.

Overall it was a pleasant experience and great people to deal with. They were receptive to my needs and very helpful. The only downside was the moving guys were rough - I had my expensive hi-fi gear bubble wrapped and packed inside a roadcase. So long as it was transported right way up it would be fine and I made sure to explain this to the driver. To my dismay, when I arrived at destination I found they had stacked the roadcase on it's end causing all the contents to shift so all the weight went against the most delicate parts of the hi-fi equipment. Most of it was ok except one (expensive) amplifier which is now in the repair shop.
"communications improved"
Although goods recieved, after initial agreement to proceed and full payment for service, I had NO communications from Conroy's, not a receipt for payment, nor any information on shipping. I had to chase up to find goods going nowhere at that time (1 month). After I questioned the proffessionalism of the company, communications improved.

We had some issues around the timing, We recieved 3 different times from the NI office. By 11am I was starting to worry and needed confirmation that the shift would happen or did I need to look elsewhere as we had to go that day.
Also would have been nice if someone had looked at the access as it was difficult, It all worked out tho.
Service from enquiry to quote was amazing... execution fantastic! Despite being informed about entry and possible difficulties getting our furniture upstairs, and being told an extra man and stops would be called for, and also being advised we would be called the day before to advise timings; we had to call on the morning of delivery to confirm a time... once our paperwork was finally found, and following a further call at 440pm we were advised they were on their way, despite being told to expect delivery between 2 and 4pm. On arrival the two young men were obviuosly keen to start their weekend, with one taking little care, dropping a number of boxes in the container, and the second being of smaller frame, unable to lift our furniture over the balcony. No third man was sent and no strops were used. Thankfully my partner was there to assist, otherwise these fellas beers would have been a lot warmer... even tho well deserved as this was a fast turn around and a slightly more difficult move!
