"Unprofessional from the start"
Unprofessional from the start. Poor customer service and apalling packing. Numerous items broken, clothes ripped as high heeled shoes thrown (packing would not be an accurate description) in with delicate evening wear. Fridge freezer arrived with mould++ as no teabags used. LED TV arrived broken, unsurprisingly after being wrapped in only bubble wrap!!! Packers just threw their rubbish into our garden, again no surprise as appeared high/drunk. Was relieved to find that company used to deliver/unpack in the UK were of a different class. We feel Conroys should take pointers from them on how to provide a professional service.
"very disappointing"
A large mirror worth $400 broke in half as it was removed by holding it at bottom, it should have been a two man job. A 42 inch tv worth $500 screen was gauged, both items I asked them to take away as they were unusable no one even rang to apologise or offer compensation very disappointing.

I had a twin pedestal dining table moved from Auckland to Chrstchurch. What a mess! The central extension piece of the table and two brass clips were lost, and it was only after many calls by me to both Christchurch and Auckland that it was apparant that these items never left Auckland!
Also, due to poor packing in transit or just poor handling, one of the antique pedestals was badly cracked through the base and has subsequently broken in half, which now requires professional repair. And this is due to Conroy's poor handling methods. From a legal perspective Conroys should be covering the cost of this repair!
So all in all a very poor expereince.
If you require the moving of furniture from the North Island to the South Island I would advise never using Conroys

"reatment of our property was rough"
Although your guys were very nice and helpful, treatment of our property was rough and a lot was damaged.

Service so appalling!! Badly damaged a number of expensive brand new items and offered a pathetic $500 compensation. Put it out there on Facebook and getting a huge amount of people with simaliar experiances with your company posting there negative reveiws!! Not good for your business. Im currently filing claim with disputes tribunial.
"The man power required for the job was grossly underestimated"
Whilst the TWO men who came to unload unpack (a service we paid in advance for) 2 twenty foot containers with our treasured personnel effects worked long hours extremely hard and no one could have asked more from them. The man power required for the job was grossly underestimated.
Major items of our furniture had been damaged ie two leather suites a glass hall table chipped, large hall mirror chipped. Not all items were unpacked, however that was a decision that I took because it was becoming increasingly late an I was advised that any further damaged found could be reported to yourselves within two weeks. I have also discovered A large Chinese laquared chest with its top smashed! So very disappointed and angry by the lack of care when transferring our effects. Not made any the more palatable by comments made " these things happen during transfer " I have photographic evidence of all damaged items (so far!) I also photographed the opening of the first container which started the alarm bells, you will see ( when I send the pictures ) it looks as though our effects have just been thrown in ! To add insult to injury a telephone request to you office was met by answer machine. A message left two days ago requesting someone to call me back to discuss and address my complaint has so far has been ignored. I will be registering my complaint in detail to Robinsons International and my Insurers Marine Insurers( Lloyds of London )
"one off the worst moving experiences"
For what I paid for the service and what I received I am very disappointed. Price was good. But I was not informed it would be done as a share container and my items would be transferred a couple of times. In these transfers items where damaged and lost. At delivery I was not informed the I should check my items on the inventory list to ensure all is there. Some of my items at delivery where missing bits other bags were split open I don't know if I lost anything from those. So overall this is one off the worst moving experiences that I have had.

One box was water soiled, obviously been outside for a while, or water got into the container or something, anyway goods were OK inside - take an eternity to replace all those things inside it.
3 items are missing, which I need to use mid April - if cannot be found I guess I will have to fork out A$500+ to replace them :-(.
"Not sure what happened, but very disappointed"
The furniture arrived with major damages. It appeared that everything had been "compressed". The boxes were squashed from the top, even the ones marked as FRAGILE.
The dryer, microwave and fridge have large dents in them. The newly refurbished dining room table has a chunk of wood broken out. Our dressing table’s drawers were broken off. At least three of the lampshades are broken. Some of the wooden ornaments are broken.
My mum’s mobility scooter must have had something dropped on it as the front guard is completely broken and the basket crushed from the top.
Not sure what happened, but very disappointed.

Nathan tells lies.....we are unhappy with the whole experience... Would not recommend Conroy's to anyone in NZ
