The move took far to long and some of our items were damaged. Out Table wouldnt fit in the house and was left outside for us to bring in at 6 am next morning in the pouring rain!!. They had only been at our old house less than 1 1/2 hours and had un packed my cups and tea and coffee etc while i was at the neighbours home i only found out as i popped backed early to find one of them in my kitchen!!!!!!. I felt that a nearly 8 1/2 hour shift when everything was ready for them and had two men that did this for a living was far ro long. . Will never use this service again and as we were Farmers will make sure we let people know what service we had.

We have no issues with the guys who offloaded our stuff in taupo. They were brilliant . The 5 men in auckland who packed our stuff into the truck had zero respect for our furniture. One was using our rocking chair on the road to rock back and forth on one of the 7 half hour breaks they took. They damaged our leather lounge suite dragging it sideways on the road. This is absolutely unacceptable. They broke my cats scratching post. They banged a dining chair into their trolley marking the fabric. They showed no care and because of this we would not recommend to anyone. My wife has used conroys in the past a few times but those auckland boys were shocking . 5 of them took nearly 6 hours to load the truck.

"subpar"
The service provided at first was very good. I appreciated the price and swiftness of response.
However, the overall packing of the items was very subpar. I found bowls/plates/cups packed together with nothing protecting them from each other. This ended with a broken bowl. The people who stacked the container were very rough and used pretty bad stacking techniques (even the guys unloading said the job was bad). They broke several items, including my dining table because they stood it on end and put something heavy on top of the legs which bend the legs away from the table top. A weed-whacker was thrown in with petrol leaking throughout other items, we found upside down liquid containers in boxes that leaked everywhere. I did not take the insurance and was told this was all accidental damage so it wasn't covered by the consumer guarantee, I fully appreciate for the things accidentally broken (like a pinboard) that it is not covered and that is fine. However, in my eyes to stick something heavy on top of legs when packing is not accidental but negligence because not a reasonable amount of care being taken, which is a requirement of consumer law.
I was given terrible advice from the packers to leave food inside our fridge and freezer and lots of it was ruined. Though, credit to Conroy's they covered the replacement of this food.
"mixed experience"
I have had a very mixed experience with convoy. Tim from Nelson was great but in saying that he was 3 hrs late to pick up goods and had no one to assist him due to staffing issues. I still had a good experience with his interactions none the less. After that though it was all down hill non stop miscommunication and calling in to ask for clarity not getting it and requesting call backs which I had to follow up because no one called back. Then I was verbally told i needed to give be just 2 days notice to get my goods dropped off turns out its a week and took over a week. Then my goods arrived wet in boxes that were falling apart because the $60 I paid for boxes were used and falling apart. I not only intend not to use conroy again but if I dont get things sorted in my claim for damaged goods I will take legal action.
"extremely disappointed"
I was extremely disappointed in Conroy Removals, I deliberately chose a New Zealand company over Allied Pickfords. One of my fridges was missing off the delivery, no one could tell me where it was, I was told it was either in Auckland or Tauranga, customer service didn't want to help and told me they didn't want to get involved… after I kept pressing a nice dispatcher is Auckland helped locate and arrange delivery a couple of days later. Coffee table was smashed to bits, the person unloading was saying under his breath that's it's just a cheap table and shit quality ~ He was talking to himself but I could clearly hear him. Yes the coffee table was old, but it was an antique. Baby cot damaged ~ not properly protected, plastic containers were damaged. The boxes were meant to be packed as per quote and when I spoke to the customer service at time or arranging the quote, I told them that the goods are already in boxes as they had been previously transported from Hong Kong ~ We had already opens these boxes, and they were in poor condition, but I was reassured that they would be repacked ~ they did not repack the boxes, this is the reason for the damages. We had broken glasses etc. I had paid for packing and nothing was packed apart from 1 box. When fridge turned up, the front panel now has a number of dints. Conroys were the receiving logistics partner for the company transworld shipping I used when I moved my goods from Hong Kong to Auckland, that's one of the reasons I chose to use you again for the final part of our move, plus I'm a big supporter to support NZ companies. I will never use or recommend Conroys again. My whole experience was been extremely poor and what I expected. Customer service even said they would email me insurance claim documents ~ that never happened either… I would appreciate if someone from Management would contact me about my experience as it is much easier to explain than type it all here. A small office load of files and furniture to be moved across town. The two drawer metal filing cabinet was dropped down the stairs denting it so badly that the drawers no longer close properly or files able to sit across the rails. Was given a half hearted apology and told it couldn't be avoided getting down the stairs (even though I had offered to remove the drawers and was assured it wasn't necessary). Heater was also dropped and wheels and handle broken off but no mention was made of this damage. Other minor items also damaged. Was planning to have Conroys move my household possessions in a couple of months but certainly won't be doing so now.

My comments are provisional pending a proposed email to Conroys detailing all aspects of my above review details which will appear to be absolutely contradictory to you..However,we have had several relativly minor disappointments in the past,which I will detail along with the very serious matters relating to my recent experiences with your firm.
"sour taste in our mouth"
Justin from Conroy was great when he came out to our house and the whole process to get our goods over was great. However, we had two guys pack our goods and one did a really poor job. We had a lot of items damaged but they were ony small things and not worth the value of the excess we would have had to pay on the insurance.
It is a real shame and most disappointing.
The guys that delivered our goods were also great but the damaged goods and poor packaging really left a sour taste in our mouth and ruined the whole experience.

2 people slow and not very efficient job took to long not happy about been charged for 30 min while they folded up blankets and tidy up the truck.
"Overall a shocking experience"
Overall a shocking experience, poor service in Sydney with items left in cupboards and goods damaged through carelessness and neglect. The delivery team in Auckland were great but the office support staff were hopeless and even though we had items both damaged and missing we were the ones that constantly had to chase to get the issues resolved, and it felt like no one at Conroy cared, even when eventually were forced to escalate our complaint to the general manager based in Napier.
My designated customer service rep was uninterested in dealing with me and would immediately bounce me off to another department if I had a question. On moving day one person was assigned to pack our entire home and unsurprisingly by the end of the day he hadn't even finished the living space. On day two more people were sent, but I'm guessing in their haste to get it done there was a lack of care in the way they packed. Our lounge room rug was simply stuffed into a box, not folded or rolled and I'm not sure it will ever look the same again. All of my shoes were dumped into another box - again no care or respect for the value of the items. I understand that your staff do this every day, but they need to understand that I don't and in allowing them to enter my home and pack up all of our precious family possessions there's a lot of trust involved. We also paid a premium for the stress and hard work to be taken off our hands and unfortunately it felt like quite the opposite.
