Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersMy items were not delviered in the condition they they were packed and picked up. My son's desk came in two pieces, his bed's head board is missing and our console table is missing. My wife's suitcase zipper was ripped and was held by two straps with alot of her cloths damaged. absolutly dissapointed with the services and would not recommend this service until I see any action to resolve my issues. Similar feedback will go on the google reviews as well. waiting to see if any action will be taken before I go on google.
WE were very disappointed with the NZ end of our move. It seems no one person took control and everytime we rang (many times) we got a different answer. 21 items of our house pack were left behind, in Auckland. Ringing up your company the following day to enquiry when the remaining items were to be delivered the dispatcher said the next day. Unbeknown to her the truck arrived at our house ten minutes later. The truck had been on the island all day and the load was delivered around 1600. As the 1800 ferry crossing back to Auckland was cancelled the lads wanted to get the 1700 ferry crossing, so everything was dropped and they ran (so to speak).
It was clear internal communication was poor and someone should have been on the phone to us keeping us informed.
We paid for delivery unpack and removal of cardboard and paper. I've already done a run to the recycling centre dropping off collasped boxes.
While your delvery staff were pleasant and helpful they were poorly supported by the people at the offices. during the course of our delivery I've spoken to to nearly every office in the country rather than one person in Auckland co-ordinating the delivery. Not a smooth operation.
Convoys had been recommended to me by a number of people. However my experience with them was not a good one. Two men arrived at 8.30. Driver said that he couldn't get the truck up my drive because it was too big. That I found difficult to understand. It meant they had to walk up and down the drive with every item which added a lot to the time.I understood that they were packing the kitchen but they arrived without any boxes or paper. Driver said they were not wrappers. When he rang his boss and some boxers arrived I had to wrap and box myself. I am 86 and found this very exhausting and stressful They arrived at my new property at 1.30. On arrival I noticed several very dirty marks on 2 sofas. Driver said that he had wrapped them in blankets but the blankets must have been dirty.Driver said they couldn't put the bed up because he didn't have the right tools. They will have used tools to take it down so that I couldn't understand. They left at 4.10.
My gear left me on the 3rd October and arrived at destination in New Zealand with me 9th January 2024. It arrived in New Zealand on the 25th November. Communication from Conroy's was by email only. There was more than one problem with my shipping but was only contacted by email with the briefest of message. A phone call would have made 100% difference to appease me.
Freight arrived with some damage. Television 55 inch and 40 inch packed together by them which had a broken leg and also damaged the screen of the other tv. (Was told would be contacted about tv damage. Still waiting for a call). Timber desk was damaged. Other stuff was minor which I packed couple broken ornaments, other than that all arrived safe and sound.
Broken bedroom draws, 1 tall boy draw and 3 out of 6 dresser draws, one was completely smashed, bent floor lamp, bits of wood chipped off other furniture. Absolutely poor care of furniture on Auckland end when unloading, no apology, no acknowledgment of the damage by the 3 men who delievered in Auckland. They were unprofessional and acted like they didn't want to be there doing their job. Unprofessional and will be spreading the word to people to not use via social media, word of mouth, google reviews and considering going to Fair Go about Conroy.
Had to call to find out pick up and drop off time. Communication shouldn't be left to the day before and then heard nothing about delivery time so had to call. Delivery was late and heard nothing about their eta. Absolutely disgusted by the service. Only positive, was the guys from Tauranga, lovely, friendly, professional, on time, took care furniture, if only they were the ones unloading on the Auckland end, my furniture would have been cared for - they were brilliant.
What you pay for this service, rip off. And what is the bet there won't be compensation for the damage. I took insurance but that should be void when your so called professional movers, are careless and caused the damage that they did, which was avoidable had they used their common sense and did their job as they should have.
Unhappy and will be making it known.
Told us it will take 6 weeks to deliver , it's been 8 weeks we still waiting for our delivery
Our consignment was to arrive 0830hrs as confirmed by phone and email. Drove 2.5 hours to be at collection point. After 3 hours wait made phone calls, nobody answered at conroys, nobody called back. Emailed to no avail. After 5 hours got a txt from move coordinator have just been informed there was no room on the truck. No apologies whatsoever. Could not deliver is one thing but failed communication is absolutely unacceptable. I wasted 2.5 hours travel and 5 hours waiting. Still haven't received our consignment as the delivery window was missed and we are travelling for the next 6 weeks without items from our consignment.
I repeatedly received conflicting emails as to delivery dates, location of freight, and cost for clearing customs (despite my freight being part of an official government shipment). At no point was I comfortable or truly aware. The only saving grace was the Wellington based delivery team, no other member of the Conroy team was helpful in the three months it took my freight to arrive.
A number of issues with Tauranga branch. Left rug in home, took.two phones calls to collect it, as I was leaving my home the same day as pick up
Didn't arrive with rest of furniture in Auckland. It took four phone calls by me to your customer services area, who were very helpful to finally receive my rug to my residence in Akld. "Doug" from that office kept saying it would be on truck the next day but it never happened. No one had the courtesy to talk to me direct.
Also statue when picking up furniture in my house in Papamoa , the stand was broken and left in house and no one told me. Photo sent to Tauranga branch and have never heard back. The only people with any type of customer service was the lovely ladies who answered your 0800 number, and the manager of your Akld office who rang me twice to let me know when my rug would be delivered. Your Tauranga branch could learn a lot from him regarding customer service.
I will tell all friends and associates who are moving out of Tauranga to NEVER use your company.
Conroy could not deliver my items yet. They collected it 1 September and reached in Melbourne October 20 and they could not deliver to my home. They are blaming others. Due to their poor service, I am paying extra money .I do not know whether they can deliver it this year. If you are moving with family , do not depend Conroy. It is very difficult manage, if your items are not arrived in time. I trusted a great service but they could not keep their promise yet.
Only good feedback I have is that we received regular updates regarding the status of our shipment and good communication from the administration ladies.
BUT poor communication from the delivery team, bad handeling of our items, we had 2 boxes delivered to us that was not ours , all the items that were booked for MPI was left at the depot and they had to go back to pick it up. And worst of all, the box with both of our TV's was dropped by one of the guys from the delivery team. We have to put in a claim now with the insurance and pay an excess amount for something that could have been prevented.
