The pick up of the product has not happened yet, i have found this time around it has been a total muck up. and very poor commuication
and lack of information on when the pick up was going to happen.
Poor service
I have used Conroy Removals several times and I am loyal. But this was a very very poor experience. The truck never arrived on the agreed day, let alone the agreed time. Noboby phoned and despite repeated phone calls to various people at Conroys, noboby seemed to know what was happening and people within Conroys did not seem to be talking to each other. It finally emerged that our furniture was still in the Wellington depot and not on the truck, but nobody seemed to know why. This furniture was for my son and his girlfriend who were setting up their home for the first time. They were terribly excited but became very upset when the truck never arrived and nobody phoned! My son's girlfriend Courtenay took the afternoon off work, without pay so lost money. I would be expecting Conroy's to make good on this . She should be compensated $200 for lost wages and I should be compensated for a very poor experience.. It would be great if David could phone me to discuss appropriate action.

I apologise for having to give you such poor feedback but unfortunatley my experience with your company has been extremely poor.
My belongings were collected from Auckland and destined for Nelson 2 weeks ago and I am still awaiting for them to arrive! My intended delivery date was the 4th of December and when my furniture had not arrived on the 5th or any contact been made from Conroy I contacted them last wednesday. I was informed that my belongings were to be delivered on the Thursday and I would recieve a call, no call recieved so I again called Carolyn from the Nelson branch and she followed this up for me. I recieved what can only be described as a "half assed" apology as my furniture had been "left" in Wellington and my new delievery date would be This Wednesday. I emailed Carolyn for answers and also the correct procedure to lay a formal complaint as I felt the communication from Conroy was less than acceptable. I was referred to Campbell in Wellington for answers, again I emailed him and was assurred that he would "look into it". His response was that they were loading a truck over the weekend and my delievery date would be today. He never gave any response to the 2 questions I wanted answered, 1) How was my furniture left behine in the 1st place 2) How do I lay a formal complaint. In the email sent yesterday I also asked to confirm if my furniture was loaded and is the delivery date still for today, I am yet to recieve a reply from him! I am happy to forward you alll correspondence I have initiated to you managers.
I believe that I am not being unresonable in wanting some form of communication in regards to this matter, I paid for a service that I have not recived and I am sure I do not need to explain to you how stressful moving is. I timed my move to ensure the least disprution to my family and as I had previously used your service with excellent results your comapny was the 1st and only option for me.
The issue that has upset me the most is the lack of communication, had I not followed up my delivery date I am unsure when your company may have contacted me?? The communication following this being brough to light last week has been sparse and unacceptable and all contact has been initiated from me.

All of my freezer contents were stolen!
Not happy at all !
Everything went wrong
The shipment contained a 17th century cabinet and 2 antique paintings packed in a heavy duty crate. Delivery was late. A truck was used without a lift forcing the movers to unpack the cabinet in the truck. Doing this without proper equipment, they broke one of the legs of the cabinet.
Finally, the crew asked if they could leave the crate and packing material a few hours on my driveway. Would them unloading at another destination. On the way back they would pick up the crate and packing material again.
That was the last I saw of them. It was vlearly never their intention to take the rubbish with them.
Bottom line, poor equipment, damage to irreplacable property and lying to customers. Not exactly a recommendation.
"I am profoundly disappointed"
I have left some time before providing this feedback so as I can be more rational than I would have been when this feedback request was received. I have used Contoys before as there are few other options between Auckland and Nelson. I could list the broken and damaged items here -a valuable lamp bent and the cord ripped off; expensive bathroom tiles (the staff laughed about the trolley they were using collapsing under the weight, breaking several packets of tiles); serious scuff marks on a leather sofa; broken garden pots- but the overall result was clearly the fact that there was little or no care devoted to the transportation of my items. On a previous occasion when I used Conroys a cushion was lost off a sofa, permanently rendering it devoid of a squab. Given that I paid $2500 for this "service" I am profoundly disappointed at the carelessness that I experienced from this latest shift (I haven't mentioned the broken tv base either) and i have already made enquiries about hiring a couple of guys and a truck to shift my next dispatch of possessions from Auckland south because I trust they will care for my goods in a way that Conroys have not demonstrated to date. New Zealand let the team down
Unfortunately, our experience was terrible. A large percenatge of our gear was damaged in some form. When I advised conroys in Napier and sent thru the photos I was told that they "were concerned that damage was prior to moving "even though on our pre-move no damage was stated on items we were claiming for. It was bad enough to have our gear badly damaged ( some of it unrepairable ) and we hadn't claimed on quite a few items so to be accused of this was pretty devastating and insulting given we had been very fair with what we claimed for. Then Napier said that we were underinsured to try to worm out of paying some of our claims that way. Fortunately, I had kept the email which showed their recommendation for what to insure it for.I got a very snarky email in response from Karen in Napier when I showed her proof of recommendation which was very unprofessional as was her not answering some of my emails. We had gone with their advice re the insurance amount expecting it to be correct. I just could not deal with conroys again because of the dishonesty with the insurance claim.We provided proof of our lounge suite being purchased from Sydney yet it was paid out in NZ dollar. The payout for rest of the gear was well under the repair costs and we wished we had waited for repair quotes. We just wanted to get on our lives and were tired from the move so didn't fight it which perhaps we should of.We have done three international moves and one where we had to claim on some items with Crown but never before had this level of damage or accusation/dishonesty /stress over a claim. Was a very stressful experience that I would not wish on anyone. I NEVER usually give bad feedback but in this case, I just couldn't not say something. Melbourne end was really good re keeping us informed and the unpack guys were awesome but Napier has put me off this company which was our first and last move with them.

Unfortunately my latest experience with Conroy Removals was not a pleasant one. Having used Conroy's successfully in the past within Australia and internationally I did not seek quotes or reviews from other organizations. This was my first mistake.
I preceded with the online free quote before Deborah Woolford came to confirm an accurate price and to confirm how the pick up and delivery will work. This is where the communication first started to break down.
I was not worried about the pick up date, as this was not an issue. The only request was that the delivery would be on Thursday the 1st of November. I was assured that this would be easy enough to arrange and should not be a problem.
After completion of payment I was contacted (via email) to say that pick up of our items would be between 1-1:30pm on Wednesday the 31st of October, which would have worked out perfectly for me to be able to work half a day before arriving home in time to sort out the pick up. I received a call from the driver between 7:30 and 8am that morning saying that he would be there at 10am, which was not ideal, but not within my control. I later received a call from the driver at 11am informing that they were on their way. They arrived sometime around noon and I preceded to help with loading of items. Loss of work, half a day.
The pick up driver was surprised to see that delivery was for the following day, but was unable to elaborate.
The 1st of November I await in Hamilton for a phone call in regards to delivery. By 1pm I have not received such call. I contacted Deborah Woolford to discuss and was informed to ring dispatch with a number provided. They informed me that I was not receiving any delivery today and that it should arrive by Friday the 2nd of November. Loss of work/income 1 full day,
The 2nd of November I await delivery in Hamilton. After not receiving a morning phone call I again phoned dispatch to discuss delivery and was then informed that I would not be receiving delivery today. Loss of work/income 1 day.
The 5th of November I received a call early in the morning from the driver saying that they would arrive at 10am. They arrived at 9 which was a surprise, but even better. Items were unloaded and I discussed with the driver how the delivery works as he was the main driver from Auckland to Hamilton. He had also informed me that there would have been no way that I would have received my items before Monday if they were only picked up on Wednesday as he only delivers to Hamilton twice a week (Monday and Friday) and the the Friday delivery is packed on Wednesday. This information would have been of much use to myself right from day one due to the fact that I too had to organize my days (before and after delivery) which I was unable to. Because of the initial 3 days of lost time, other contracts were missed resulting in an addition full weeks loss of work/income. In total 8 days of income was lost due to the poor communications at Conroy Removals.
I believe the system at Conroy Removals is a broken one that lacks organization and communication across all areas, which is why I do not plan to use them again, or recommend them to friends or family in the future. I do also wish that this does not fall on deaf ears and that somehow the concerns are addressed.

its most worst experience , the guys came with stuff were extremely un professional , the only knew to unload the boxes , they dump all the items including hazardius items in the middle of house and gone ,

The guys helped well. But charging me 4 hour job for 2 bedroom house?. Reached at my property after 9am in the morning and finished the job at 12 pm. Charged me from 8:30 to 12:30 saying its depot to depot. I had a good experience previously and done the same job in 2 hours. That’s why i used the service again. But I won’t recommend to anyone anymore. It was such a shocking experience.

i’m Very disappointed in the service provided. When contacting you originally, I indicated that I’d love to have items mid August. They could be picked up at any point. Boxes weee packed by me in May. They were picked up the beginning of July and I am still awaiting my packages. With no communication from your end.
The service was appalling. I had my items in storage got 5 months to get them back with water damage due to a hole in YOUR storage container. I phoned on Thursday and said can this be actioned immediately as I was heading away and the house was booked for summer thru Bookabach. The guy who said would phone me back that day, did not do so for 2 days and now I have the lengthy process.
