Of clients surveyed said they would recommend Conroy Removals to othersExtremely poor communication, told 8am pick-up didn't see a truck until 1.20pm,(even though I have email proof of asking for an 8am pick-up, and was alled on the Sunday to be told this would be the case) furnuture was damaged upon delivery, furniture was not bubble wrapped when asked 3 times to do. Have asked to be called by managers, no one has called.
Why have no one called me about my insurance claims? They were noted on the delivery note.
This move cost $9500 + more for me having to fix conroy mess ups. This also caused undue stress in what is already a stressful time. From a company that talked about 'stress free moving
Literally the worst moving company I've ever used.
If I dont hear from someone with authority I will be taking this further.
We had to wait 13 days for our plants to arrive that had been offloaded into a warehouse in Auckland without our prior knowledge. It was not until our original load arrived that we were told there had been a mishap.We paid serious money to use your services and the lack of communication was very poor. Even when the second load did arrive we were only given 20 minutes notice and we were 15 minutes away, so had to cancel a meeting to ensure delivery.
Many of my items although well packed have been broken. I wrote fragile and do not crush on boxes with breakable items in them however this was completely ignored and when coming to unpack my things I was very upset to find broken items. Things that have sentimental value and are irreplaceable. Furniture carelessly tossed about too, my bar cart no can no longer hold the weight of glassware or bottles as it starts to lean and collapse on itself. Will not be using Conroy's again or recommending to others.
7 Years ago I used Conroy's to move us to Gulf Harbour The move could not be faulted. Naturally, I believed it was not too much to expect a similar outcome. (How wrong I was)
The problems started at the assessment of items to be moved. I was told by the young lady there was no need to show her around as she was very experienced and new what she was doing. She was gone in 20 minutes. When I saw her report I was deeply concerned as she had missed probably 30-40% of what was to be moved.I rang the Auckland branch and expressed my concerns. The company chose to ignore me. When the truck arrived it was becoming increasingly obvious it was too small. A second truck was called up. It also was too small I had to load my trailer to prevent a third vehicle being used. I noted the kitchen step ladder was being used to load to the top of the load, That was the last time I saw my ladder.
It wasn't until we were unloading the first truck that I noticed the fridge had not been loaded. It was in the second truck which duly arrived three days later.
It is my understanding, that when the truck loads at the point of departure and unloads at the destination there is no tagging of the Items, as is done for storage or an unload in a depot. As our load was destined to be freighted direct to the destination no tagging was done. It was when I received a phone call from Conroy's office asking me what items I owned etc on the second truck that I realised it had been unloaded at the depot (untagged) and they were not sure what the load consisted of. This resulted in a number of items not being delivered and only when I enquired on numerous occasions did we finally get the remaining items.
There were 4 visits to our property. ( It should have been 1) With the latter three it was becoming obvious the staff just didn't care I had damage done to my ebike and a few other items. When I spoke about the issues the driver and his offsider expressed total disinterest.
I had several conversations with Nick from Auckland about the issues. He did replace the ladder which unfortunately was not the same as the one I had, as it is too high, However, I do acknowledge he made an effort to right a wrong.
In summary, This whole ordeal could have been easily averted, had the lady done her job properly at the outset. What I do wonder about is how the company can afford to keep people as incompetent as she proved to be. She is certainly no asset to the company.
Our furniture suffered excessive damage. We were told that all furniture would be balnket wrapped and this did not happen. There was little care taken in the packing of the furniture. The unloading team were in a hurry and caused more damage. They also damaged the house. We used Conroys once before and it was okay. This time it was terrible and we will certainly be looking to the company for a positive response to sort this out.
I will never be using you guys ever again as I am still awaiting my stuff to be delivered even after paying for the price of the move
Hi Daniel. This is Fleur Gibbons from 8 Beaconview Rise. I am letting you know that for the 3rd weekend in a row the boxes haven’t been picked up. We received a call on Friday advising someone would be here between 9.30-10.30. Once again - we waited and waited but no show. We are very disappointed in the service (or lack there of) we have been provided by Conroy. The inconvenience of having 1/3 of our garage taken up by your boxes is frustrating. We have kept them inside -dry and clean as requested. We are (trying) to under take renovations in our garage but have had to put plans on hold be cause of the boxes. I have made numerous calls to the operations team asking for confirmation of times and left numerous messages but no-one has returned my calls. I find this very bad PR - just a return phone call to advise that pick up isn’t available would be acceptable-but no return phone call frustrating. I will be leaving a negative google review - something I have wanted to avoid. I have given your company the benefit of the doubt, on many occasions, however yesterday - being let down for the 3 time in a row beyond acceptable or understandable. Regards Fleur Gibbons.
We had not much communication regarding our shipment when it arrived in nz, needing many emails from me to get not much information.
There was a further delay when conroy said the other shipping company hadn't given them release, when they actually had.
They then made us pay another $2000, which we had already paid, as they hadn't organised payment with the other company. They said we either had to pay or they would hold our belongings until after Christmas. The payment was on the way and they just needed to have waited another couple of days.
All this while my wife was 9 months pregnant and trying to get our belongings in time before the baby arrived.
Very stressful company to deal with, would not recommend.
It's funny that you are requesting for a feedback considering our goods have not been delivered to us yet. It has been exactly 12 weeks since our goods were collected from our house in Auckland and yet no sign of any delivery in the near future. Contacted Conroy here in Sydney and they were unable to provide any delivery dates. Packing and collection in Auckland was great but the rest of the service fell down the hill. Just really disappointed. I wish I have used other removalist.
I am really unhappy with the service.They were more then 3 houra late when they had to drop of our furniture. When I asked them to collect the boxes they said they will do it the Friday and Monday they finally got to my house knoking on my door while I were in the middle of a meeting. Just dropping of one of our table legs that went missing , they left after I went to tell them I am home . They left the boxes here and we are still missing some of our stuff.
My furniture was not delivered at the quoted date. There was no communication about this.
Tv was smashed and we were not told. Boxes dropped including a microscope which smashed wooden box. Lots of breakages.
Nothing wrapped in plastic that we could see which I thought was company policy.
Paid for a professional service and got an appalling service.
No one appeared to be in charge. Left cupboard full of moving boxes at old residence which we then had to move ourselves.
